Removing the Turret

Before you begin make sure the antenna is in the stowed position, and the interface box is unplugged from power.

  1. Disconnect the coax cable(s) from the base and sheath cable from the vertical ports.

  2. Remove the four screws from the cable cover.
    Remove the cable cover.

  3. Loosen and unclip the power coupler from the internal power cable.

  4. Unthread and remove the power/control cable retaining nut. Do not lose the retaining nut.

  5. Remove nuts securing coax ports at base and top of turret, then push the ports into the turret.WINEGARD SK SWM3 Travler Automatic Multi Satellite TV Antenna - coax ports

  6. Remove the 9 screws holding the turret to the transition plate

  7. Flip turret over, remove gasket and moisture and barrier.

  8. Remove p-Clip holding wrap cable in place.

Removing Electronics

  1. Disconnect cable connections from electronics module.
  2. Using provided nut driver remove the 4 screws holding the electronics module in place
  3. Remove wrap cable from rubber grommet on electronics module.

Removing Elevation Motor Assembly

  1. Remove the 4 screws holding the elevation motor in place.
  2. Remove the elevation motor and disconnect cable from motor.WINEGARD SK SWM3 Travler Automatic Multi Satellite TV Antenna - elevation motor

Replacing Wrap Cable

  1. Remove 2 screws securing wrap cable to turret, and remove wrap cable.
  2. Install new wrap cable in place of the original, and secure using the 2 screwsWINEGARD SK SWM3 Travler Automatic Multi Satellite TV Antenna - wrap cable

Reinstalling Elevation Motor and Electronics

  1. Reconnect cable to elevation motor and reinstall.
    Secure in place using the 4 screws.

  2. Feed wrap cable through rubber grommet on electronics

  3. Using provided nut drive r and 4 screws secureelectronics back in place.

  4. Attach cables to electronics in the following order from left to right.
    • 12-pin connector
    • 8-pin connector
    • Male coax on wrap cable
    • Male coax on included mini cable

Securing Wrap Cable

  1. Seat coax ports in the following order from top to bottom.
    • Black/Red
    • Blue/Blue
    • Blue/Black
    Secure Ports in place using the nuts removed in “Removing the Turret” section step 4.

  3. Seat coax ports at base in the following order from left to right.
    • Blue/Black
    • Blue/Blue
    • Blue/Red
    Secure ports in place using the nuts removed in “Removing the Turret” section step 4.

Reinstalling the Turret

  1. Ensure gasket and moisture barrier are aligned properly on transition plate.
  2. Place turret back on transition plate and secure using the 9 screws
  3. Slide data cable connection through hole in baseand secure in place using the retaining nut from “Removing the Turret” section step 3.
  4. Reconnect data cable and reinstall cable cover, secure cover with 4 screws.
  5. Reconnect coax cables at base and sheath cable to vertical ports. Sheath cable should be connected in order shown in picture.

With the wrap cable replaced you can now plug the interface box into power and operate the antenna as desired.
