Safety information

Measures for the safe operation of the product
The operator must in particular ensure that….

  • only original parts of the manufacturer are used to maintain the safeguarding of the function and safety. The user will void any possibly existing claims when parts on the product are replaced with non-original spare parts
  • the product is only used properly. Damage or hazards can arise in the event of other use or operation for which we cannot assume liability (for this, see the chapter “Proper use”)
  • the product is only operated in correct, functional condition, all covers and panels have been fitted.

Duty and care of the operator
The product was designed and built under consideration of a risk and hazard analysis and following the thorough selection of the harmonized standards to be adhered to as well as further technical specifications. As a result, the product complies with the engineering standards and ensures a maximum degree of safety. However, this safety can only then be achieved in operational practice when all measures required for this are taken. It is subject to the duty of care of the user that the safety measures of the product are complied with.

Fundamental safety measures

  • The delivered product can pose hazards when it is used improperly or not for its intended purpose.
  • The product may never be shipped or dispatched without proper transport packaging by means of a forwarding agent, by mail, express service or as air travel luggage!
  • “Fire hazard: The device may only be used with a suitable power supply unit, which can be operated according to PS2 IEC 62368-1 or limited power source (LPS) according to IEC 60950-1.”
  • Energized parts can pose a danger to life and limb  of the user and can cause material damage.
  • It is important that the entire product is switched to a de-energized state before the covering of the product is opened.
  • Only specialist personnel may perform work and fault correction on electric components. The accident prevention regulations must be observed

Intended Use
The unit may only be utilized and deployed for its intended use.

The sole purpose of the unit is:

  • Mouse to operate a tablet in office environments .

Transport, delivery, set-up and installation

Delivery

Immediately after receipt, please check the completeness of the delivery by means of a comparison with the BORMANN® order confirmation and/or the delivery note.
If applicable, please immediately submit a complaint on the missing parts with the delivering transport service provider and inform BORMANN®.
Check all parts for transport damage.
In each case in which transport damage is suspected, immediately inform the transport service provider, BORMANN® in writing and photographs of the damaged parts must be sent to BORMANN®

Assembly information

To install, simply insert the dongle into your tablet.

Warranty/guarantee

Refer to your invoice for the warranty/guarantee periods
(optional further service packages are possible).
Replacement: During the warranty period, the replacement of parts and the working time is free of charge to the customer as long as no mechanical, willful damage or non-intended use is present.
The product must be made available to BORMANN® for the repair free of charge.

Cleaning and care

Harmful cleaning agents can cause scratches, color changes, moisture damage or short circuits on the device.

For this reason:

  • before cleaning, shut down the device
  • aggressive or caustic cleaning agents and solvents are unsuitable
  • after cleaning, make sure there is no residual moisture
  • the best way to clean the devices is with a dry antistatic cloth

Final decommissioning / disposal

Withdrawal in accordance with article 8.2 of the EU directive
“Waste of Electric and Electronic Equipment” (WEEE), the law on the sale, return and environmentally friendly disposal of electrical and electronic equipment (Electrical and Electronic AppliancesAct – ElektroG).
The manufacturers are responsible for the disposal of old equipment from the purely commercial sector, provided it is in regard to electrical or electronic appliances that were sold after 13 August 2005. The owner is responsible for equipment that was already on the market before 13 August 2005. Deviating agreements are possible in both cases.
