Points to be observed before working on the compressor unit:
- Switch off the machine and safeguard it from being inadvertently switched on again.
- Disconnect the power supply line and motor cable.
- Relieve the machine from the system pressure.
- After installation has been completed:
- Connect the safety switch and mount the protective devices.
- Evacuate the compressor (plant)
- Open the shut-off valves (suction, pressure and liquid valve).
- Reconnect the power supply line and motor cable.
- Lift the switch-on safeguard.

Installation instructions for oil pump F 14/1166 + 1366 and F 16 /1751 + 2051
- Stop the operation of the compressor as per section 1. Safety instructions
- After removing the oil pump, remove any seal remnants adhering to the compressor housing.
caution!
- In compressors with a spacer ring A at the bearing flange, this must be removed before fitting the new oil pump. The spacer ring is not required for the new oil pump (fig. 1)
Instructions for fitting oil pump
- Always fit the oil pump (pos. 1) with the wording TOP at the top.
- The seal (pos. 2) may not cover the oil channel in the compressor housing when being installed, ensure there is always a clear passage (fig. 1).
- Tighten fastening screws M8 x 60 (pos. 3) uniformly and crosswise. Screw torque M = 34 Nm.
Starting operations
- Start-up operations of the compressor again as per section 1. Safety instructions
- Check proper functioning of oil pump: check oil pressure gauge with service connection (fig. 2). Oil pressure approx. 2,5 bar.
