GIMA Disposable Guedel Airway (Non Sterile) User Manual
Indications for use:
Guedel airway is an oropharyngeal airway inserted into a patient’s pharynx through the mouth to provide an airway. Smooth contoured airway lumen for improved air flow & easy access for suction catheter. Flexible, carefully profiled anatomical shape to minimize airway trauma.
Operation Procedure:
- Choice the correct size (the correct size for a patient is determined by the distance between the corner of the mouth and the tragus).
- Lubricated and inserted with the curvature initially facing upward and then rotated halfway through so as to follow the curvature of the tongue.
- In edentulous patients, it may also be inserted right from the outset with its curvature along the curvature of the tongue.
- Once inserted, it is very important to support the jaw to maintain patency of the airway.
Caution:
- Read this instruction manual carefully before use.
- This product should be used by trained personnel.
Storage:
- Storage and transport temperature: -20°C to +60°C (-4°F to 140°F).
- Keep the device in a cool dry place out of direct sunlight before use.
- Expiry Date: 5 years from the date of manufacture.
Disposal:
The device does not contain any hazardous substances and may be disposed of with your normal household refuse.
