SLICER BEFORE YOU HAVE FULLY CLEANED AND ASSEMBLED IT.
CAUTION: The blade is extremely sharp, DO NOT TOUCH THE EDGES. When

great care.
-
Unpack the Electric Slicer, remove all the packaging materials, including the rubber guards from the slicing blade.
-
Place the slicer and a flat, dry, level surface.
-
When taking apart or assembling the slicer, make sure the thickness dial is turned, so the thickness guide is in the ‘0’ position, this hides the blade edges to prevent injury.
-
Before first use, wipe the base unit, food board, and slider with a clean damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
-
Taking great care to keep your fingers away from the blade edges, press the middle of the black lock with your thumb and the bottom part of the black circle lock will flip out. Grip this underneath with your finger and twist clockwise in the OPEN direction to unlock. Carefully lift the blade off the base unit.
-
Wash the blade and food pusher in warm, soapy water, rinse and dry thoroughly. The blade edges are extremely sharp, always use a cleaning brush to clean.
-
Make sure that all parts are clean and dry before assembling the product.
-
To lock the blade securely in place, align the blade with the drive gears so it engages fully. Twist the blade lock anticlockwise until you cannot twist any further.
-
Make sure it is firmly locked into place and the lock pressed down flat.
-
Attach the food pusher onto the slider.
-
There is a tab on one edge of the slider.
-
The slider can now be moved up and down the food carriage bar, slide it back and forth a few times to check that it moves freely without coming off.
-
The Electric Slicer is now ready to use.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
This slicer will only slice pieces of food up to 15cm in diameter, this is the height of the blade. Larger chunks of food will need to be chopped in half.
-
Put the slicer on a dry, firm, flat surface near a socket.
-
Check that the switch on the appliance is in the OFF position before you plug in and switch on the Electric Slicer at the socket.
-
Use the thickness dial on the back of the slicer and the thickness guide on the side to select your slice thickness from 1mm to 15mm. As you turn the thickness dial, the gap between the blade and the base unit will widen.
-
Position the slicer sideways on your worktop, with the food pusher on your right.
-
Pull the slider and food pusher towards you and place your food on the food board, hold it in place with the food pusher using your right hand.
-
Place a board on the left of the slicer so your sliced food will drop onto the board. To start slicing turn the slicer on with the switch, then move the food pusher back and forwards to continue slicing.
-
Always use the slider and food pusher to protect your fingers from the blade. NEVER guide food towards the blade with your bare hands. Take care not to overload the motor by pushing too hard. You will need to apply firm pressure, but if your food does not slice it is too hard for the slicer.
-
NEVER touch the blade when the appliance is in use. If food sticks to the blade, switch off and unplug the slicer at the socket before removing it to clean.
-
When you have finished slicing, turn the thickness dial to ‘0’ to conceal the blade edge for storing, switch off and unplug at the socket.

-
After 10 minutes of slicing, let the motor rest for 30 minutes.
