Instructions

Using the heart rate sensor

1. Moisten the electrode areas of the chest strap.
   
   Note. The electrode areas need moisture to accurately detect your heart rate. If you don’t moisten them. it may take a couple minutes for your skin to bold up enough sweat for the strap to read correctly.

2. Attach the heart rate sensor with the connector marked ‘V on the left side.
   

3. Adjust the length of the strap so that it fits snugly but comfortably. Check whether the moistened electrodes sit firmly on the skin.
   

Care Instructions

Follow the instructions to ensure a reliable measurement and to maximize the life of the heart rate monitor.

Heart Rate Sensor

Detach the sensor from the bell after each use and dry the connections with a soft towel. Do not use cleaning chemicals.

Chest Strap

Clean the belt under running water after each use and hang it up to dry. The belt is not suitable for washing machines or dryers.

• Do not use chemical cleaning agents as they can damage the materials.
  • Do not stretch the band or bend the electrode areas excessively.
• Dry the chest strap and sensor well before storing Only store the heart rate sensor dry in breathable material to avoid oxidation of the connections.

Pairing Heart Rate Sensor

This HR Strap can pair with the AFG APP or the Treadmill console directly.

For Horizon Treadmills, this Chest Strap is meant to automatically pair with your tablet or phone while running the AFG APP. It will display the information in the APP and pass it to the Treadmill display. It may take 30 seconds for the APP to detect and pair with the HR strap. Please ensure you have moistened the strap electrodes before starting your workout.

If you wish to use the Chest Strap with the Treadmill without using the AFG APP, you must put the Treadmill Bluetooth into HEART RATE MONITOR mode. To do this, hold down the Bluetooth button on the treadmill console for 5 seconds until HEART RATE MONITOR ONLY displays. While in this mode, the console will only connect to the HR strap. This will also take up to 30 seconds to connect.

To return to using the HR Strap with the AFG APP, hold down the Bluetooth button on the console for 5 seconds until TABLET ENABLED is displayed

Batteries

This device uses a CR2032 battery installed in the heart rate monitor. The battery life is 800 hours.

Changing Batteries

Use a coin to turn the battery compartment counterclockwise until the cover is released.
Remove the battery and dispose of it properly

Insert the new battery with the positive (+) side facing up. Use a coin to tighten the battery cover.

Keep batteries and small parts away from children.
