Introduction
This document specifies the dimensions and recommended installation of the Diversa Powerpacks in a space required to meet the City of Chicago Environmental Air (CCEA) regulations.

Dimensions
The powerpack shall be mounted inside an electrical junction box or panel with a ½” threaded nipple.

Chicago Plenum Compliance
In the city of Chicago, there is a stringent City of Chicago Environmental Air
(CCEA ) requirement that must be adhered to for the installation of components
in the plenum space.
All Recessed Luminaire wiring compartment covers, junction boxes, and junction
box covers shall have no holes and all covers that open into the plenum space
shall be Gasketed.
The use of non-metallic parts are not permitted for the following items:
a.wireways,
b.junction boxes, and
c.enclosure of electrical parts, such as:
i.wire,
ii.splices
iii. miscellaneous components (lamp holders, ballasts, capacitors, etc.)
Exception: Self Heating Thermal Protectors (Insulation Detectors).
d.Any parts on the plenum side of the recessed fixture with the exception of
the gaskets.
4.1. Chicago Plenum Installation
The WP-PP20-D and WP-PP20-2P-D are designed to be mounted in a 4×4 junction
box. With 2 back-to-back airtight junction boxes the WP-PP20-D and WP-
PP20-2P-D can be installed to meet the CCEA requirement.
