SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  • Read all warnings, safety instructions, and other instructions carefully before use and familiarise yourself with the controls on the product and how to use them. The product must only be used for its intended purpose and in accordance with these instructions.
  • The instructions should be included with the appliance if you sell it, or pass it on.
  • Always follow local regulations for safety at the workplace and prevention of accidents.
  • Read all the instructions, safety instructions, and all the warning labels on the high-pressure washer before using it. Failure to follow all the instructions and safety instructions can result in the risk of electric shock and/or serious personal injury.
  • High-pressure jets can be dangerous if they are not used properly. Do not point the jet at persons or animals, at live electrical equipment, or at the high-pressure washer unit.
  • Wear safety glasses and suitable personal safety equipment.
  • The appliance is not intended to be used by persons (children or adults) with any form of functional disorders, or by persons who do not have sufficient experience or knowledge on how to use it, unless they have received instructions concerning the use of the appliance from someone who is responsible for their safety.
  • Keep children under supervision to make sure they do not play with the appliance.
  • The water jet from the high-pressure nozzle causes the spray gun to jerk when the trigger is pressed. Keep a firm footing and good balance at all times, and keep a firm grip on the spray gun and the spray head.
  • Never leave the appliance unattended when switched on.
  • Do not use the appliance at temperatures lower than 0°C.

WARNING!

  • Only use chemicals recommended by the manufacturer. The use of other detergents or chemicals can put safety at risk.
  • Do not point the jet at yourself or any other person, e.g. to clean clothes or shoes.
  • Do not use the appliance near other persons who are not wearing safety clothing.
  • Never allow children or persons who are unfamiliar with the appliance and these instructions, to use it.
  • Switch off the appliance and remove the battery during long interruptions to the work.
  • Remove the battery before working on the product, before connecting to the water supply, and before attending to any leakage.
  • Switch off the product immediately and remove the battery in the event of malfunction or damage during use. See the troubleshooting schedule, or contact the retailer.
  • Risk of electric shock and/or personal injury as a result of moving parts.

Electrical components

  • All live components in the work area must be protected from the penetration of water.
  • Do not use the appliance in explosive environments, such as in the vicinity of flammable liquids, gas or dust.
  • Never use undiluted or diluted solvents such as petrol, acetone, thinner, fuel oil etc., or undiluted acids, in the appliance. These substances can damage the appliance and produce a mist that is toxic and explosive, or highly flammable.
  • Never use the appliance with flammable or toxic liquids, or liquids that are otherwise incompatible with the appliance.
  • Keep the packaging material out of the reach of children – risk of suffocation.
  • Only use spare parts and accessories recommended by the manufacturer.
  • Switch off the appliance and remove the battery before cleaning, installation, maintenance, storage and/or transport.

  • Do not use the appliance if important parts, e.g. safety devices, high-pressure hoses, and the trigger handle, are damaged.

Always wear ear protection.
Measured values for noise and vibration have been determined in accordance with EN 60335 2-54:2008+A11:2012+A1:2015.
Declared total vibration values have been measured in accordance with a standard test method, and can be used for comparisons between tools.
The value can also be used for a preliminary assessment of exposure.

WARNING!

Vibration levels can deviate from the declared value, depending on how the product is used.
Take appropriate measures to reduce exposure to vibration. Measures to reduce exposure to vibration include wearing gloves when working and limiting usage. Suitable precautions for users must be based on the actual conditions, taking into account all parts of the operating cycle, such as the time when the tool is switched off and the idling time, in addition to the time when the power switch is pressed.

FITTING OF SPRAY HEAD

  1. Fit the spray head (9) or nozzle for detergent (7) on the product by inserting and twisting to engage the bayonet socket.
  2. Remove in the reverse order.

INSERTING THE BATTERY

  1. Fit the battery (12) on the product by putting it on the bar so that it clicks in place.
  2. Remove the battery (12) by pressing the battery lock button (13) and pulling it off.

USE

WATER SUPPLY
The water can be supplied from the water mains or from an open-source.

WARNING!
Do not immerse the product in water or any other liquid – the risk of electric shock.

Connection to water supply

  1. Connect the supply hose to the water tap.
  2. Open the tap and wait until water without air bubbles comes out through the other end of the supply hose.
  3. Close the water tap.
  4. Connect the suction hose to the water connection of the product.
  5. Open the water tap.

Using with suction hose

The high-pressure washer can be used with a suction hose to take water from a barrel, or pond etc.

NOTE:
Impurities in the water can damage the high-pressure pump and accessories.

  1. Sink all of the suction hosen with the filter basket (10) in the water container to make sure there is no air in the hose.
  2. Connect the suction hose to the water connection on the product and put the hose end with a filter basket in the water container (e.g. rainwater barrel).
  3. Check that there is enough water in the container.

NOTE:
Running dry will damage the product.
Never use water from natural watercourse – the risk of contamination as a result of backflow of detergent.

SPOOLING

IMPORTANT:
Never start the product when the water tap is closed. Running dry will damage the product.

  1. Connect the product to the water supply before use and check that the connection is tight.
  2. Open the water tap.
  3. Press the lock button (2) and then the trigger (3). It is not necessary to keep the lock button (2) pressed.
  4. Release the trigger to stop the jet and switch off the product.

WARNING!
The water jet causes the product to jerk when the trigger is pressed. Keep a firm footing and good balance at all times and keep a firm grip on the product, otherwise, there is a risk of personal injury.
Switch off the product and remove the battery in the event of leakage in the water system. Reconnect to the water supply according to the instructions.

ADJUSTING THE NOZZLE

The spray head has a nozzle with six different settings.

  • Jet angle 0°/15°/25°/40° FIG. 2
  • Upward jet FIG. 3
  • Soft, wide jet for watering/cleaning FIG. 4

Switch settings by turning the nozzle holder. An arrow on the top of the spray head indicates the selected setting.

USING DETERGENT

The product is intended to be used with neutral, biodegradable detergent. Other detergents and chemicals can be dangerous and/or damage the product. Such damage is not covered by the warranty.

WARNING!

  • Follow the instructions on the safety data sheet for the actual detergent, in particular the instructions concerning personal safety equipment.
  • Fill the container with detergent. Only use detergent intended for the high-pressure washer.
  • Press the detergent bottle with the opening down in the connection for the detergent hose.

AFTER FINISHING THE WORK

  1. If the detergent has been used, flush freshwater through the product to clean it.
  2. Release the trigger (3).
  3. Remove the battery from the product.
  4. Disconnect the product from the water supply.
  5. Press the lock button (2) and then the trigger (3) to relieve any residual pressure in the system.

MAINTENANCE

The product is maintenance-free. Storage

  1. Disconnect the product from the water supply.
  2. Run the product for a few seconds until no water comes out through the spray head (9).
  3. Switch off the product.
  4. Remove the spray head (9).
  5. Store the spray head upright with the connection down.
  6. Empty the suction hose and filter basket (10) of water.
  7. The product and accessories can freeze and be damaged if they are not completely empty.
  8. Store the product and accessories in a frost-free place.

Cleaning the product
WARNING!
Do not clean the product with running water – the risk of electric shock and/or material damage.
NOTE:
Do not use detergents or solvents.

  • Keep the ventilation openings (1) on the product clean.
  • Clean product with a soft brush or damp cloth.
  • If the nozzles (8) on the spray head (9) are contaminated or blocked they can be cleaned with a needle.
  • Rinse the nozzles with water to remove impurities.

BATTERY
Battery and charger are sold separately in Jula’s department stores and at www.jula.com.

WARNING!
Make sure that the power switch on the tool is not pressed in when inserting or replacing the battery.
NOTE:
Connect the battery with moderate pressure – do not force. An incorrectly connected battery can damage the battery terminals or the battery socket on the tool.

CHARGING LEVEL
To check the battery charge level, press the “Press” button to see 1-4 red LEDs, where 1 indicates low battery level and 4 high levels. FIG. 5

CHARGING THE BATTERY

NOTE:

  • The battery must be charged before it can be used with a power tool.
  • After charging for the first time, use the tool until the battery is completely flat. Repeat this charging and discharging cycle 4 to 5 times.
  • If the LEDs on the charger do not go on when charging:
    – check that the mains adapter for the charger is properly plugged into the PowerPoint and that the charger is switched on. – check that the battery is correctly inserted in the charger.
  1. Place the battery charger on a level and stable surface. Plug the charger into a 230 V PowerPoint.
  2. Connect the battery to the charger so that it clicks in place. The red LED on the charger goes on when correct contact is made. FIG. 6
  3. When the battery is fully charged, after about one hour, the red LED goes off and only the green LED stays on.
  4. Unplug the charger from the PowerPoint and remove the battery from the charger.

CONNECT THE BATTERY TO THE TOOL
Connect the battery to the battery socket on the tool so that it clicks in place.

REMOVE THE BATTERY FROM THE TOOL
Press the battery lock and remove the battery from the tool.

WARNING!
Always remove the battery before maintenance and/or cleaning.

  • Check at regular intervals that screw unions and retaining screws are tight.
  • Repairs must only be carried out by an authorized service center.
  • Spray a suitable lubricant on all moving parts at regular intervals.

Cleaning the battery
WARNING!
Always wear safety glasses and gloves when cleaning.

  • Clean the casing with a soft brush or dry cloth.
  • Do not use strong detergent or solvent, this can damage the plastic parts on the product. Stubborn dirt can be removed with a cloth moistened with a mild detergent.
  • Keep the ventilation openings clear. Blow clean the ventilation openings with compressed air, if possible.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Relieve the pressure, switch off the high-pressure washer and remove the battery before cleaning and/or maintenance. See the troubleshooting schedule below in the event of any problems. The inspection and repair of electrical components must only be carried out by qualified personnel.
Contact your dealer if you have any problems or questions.

Problem Cause Action
Substantial fluctuations in pressure. The nozzle (8) is blocked. Rinse the

nozzle (8) with fresh water.
If necessary, clean the nozzle according to the cleaning instructions.
The product will not start.| The battery is discharged.| Charge the rechargeable battery.
Leakage in the water system.| The connections are not correctly connected.| Switch off the product and remove the battery. Reconnect the connections according to the instructions.
Supply pressure is too high.| Connect the product to a water pipe with a maximum pressure of 5 bar.
