Power Connection
- Make sure the power switch is in “ off ”.
- Connect the power cord to power receptacle.
- Connect the other end of power cord to the outlet.
Note: Please refer to the SP406 User Manual for the utility and driver installation.
Loading the Media
Folding Paper Loading

Turn the power on, adjust the paper guides to fit the width of paper.

Insert the paper into the entry slot.

The paper will be inhaled into the path automatically.
External Paper Roll Loading
Note
- When the printer power on, the paper will be inhaled into the path automatically.
- The external paper roll holder needs to be aligned with the hooks at the bottom of the printer.
LED Description
| Color | Light | Description |

| Blue | Always on | The printer is ready |
| Purple | Always on | The print head is over heat |
| Red | Always on | The cover is not closed |
| Flash slowly | Paper out | |
| Flash rapidly | Label learning is abnormal | |

Feed Button Function

Feed a label/a line
When printer is in READY status, short press FEED button, it will feed a label or a line, depending on the media you use. -
Print self-test page
When printer is in READY status, press and hold FEED button until the blue indicator light flashes once, then release the button and the printer prints a self-test page. -
Label calibration/learning
When printer is in READY status, press and hold FEED button until the blue indicator light flashes twice, then release the button and the printer starts label learning. -
Pause printing
When printer is in printing, short press FEED button to pause printing or feeding.
