COMMISSIONING, SETTINGS

  1. After removing the product from its packaging, please check it to ensure that it was not damaged during shipping. Do not begin using a damaged product!
  2. First, place 2x 1.5 V AAA batteries in the weather station while paying attention to their polarity.
  3. Place 2x 1.5 V AA batteries in the transmitters.
After this, the weather station will automatically search for and register the external transmitters. During this process, the signal reception icon will flash. If the pairing process is successful, the external temperature and humidity values will appear. If the process is unsuccessful, try manually pairing the external transmitter with the station.

Placement

Depending on your preference, you can mount the weather station and the external transmitter on a wall or place them on a flat surface using their foldable legs. To ensure the accuracy of the measurements, choose a dry place for the external transmitter in a shaded area. Although it is resistant to sprayed water, it is unnecessary to expose it to the effects of a constantly high-humidity environment.

If possible, do not place the units near other source of electromagnetic signals and interference.

Please note that the range of the transmitter is 60 m on open terrain and it is naturally reduced by walls, reinforced concrete structures, and other sources of radio interference.

Manual pairing of the external transmitter

The default channel of the external transmitter is channel 1. If you wish to use multiple transmitters (max. 3) with the same weather station, you will have to set all of them to a different channel.

Selecting a channel other than channel 1: after putting in the batteries, you can use the sliding switch of the external transmitter to choose between channels 1, 2, and 3. After this, hold the CH button on the weather station down until ‘ – – ’ appears in place of the measured values.

Subsequently, the weather station will re-scan and register the external transmitters while the signal reception will be flashing continuously. If the scan is successful, the external temperature and relative humidity will appear next to the channel number.

If the scan is unsuccessful, check the level of battery charge in both the weather station and the external transmitter.

Setting up the time and date manually
When the device is in ‘exact time display’ mode, hold down the SET button for approx. 3 seconds. The values that can be set will start flashing in the following order: display language of the days of the week; selection between °C / °F; year (Y); month (M); day (D); 24-hour or 12 hour time format (24 Hr/12 Hr); hours; minutes – you can move between the available settings using the SET button. The values can be set using the ▲ or ▼ buttons.

When using the 12-hour format, times in the morning are indicated by the abbreviation ‘AM’, while times in the afternoon are indicated by the abbreviation ‘PM’.

The days of the week can be displayed abbreviated in the following languages:

  • EN – English
  • GE – German
  • IT – Italian
  • FR – French
  • DU – Dutch
  • SP – Spanish
  • DA – Danish

Setting the time when the alarm goes off

When the device is displaying the exact time, hold the button down for 3 seconds to setting an alarm time (AL). Moving between values with the button, you can first set the flashing ‘hours’, then ‘minutes’ value, and finally the duration of the snooze function (5 – 60 minutes, once every minute) with the help of the ▲ or ▼ buttons.

The alarm thus set up will be activated automatically, as indicated by the appearance of the icon.

FUNCTIONS

Moon phase
Based on the date set, the device automatically determines the current phase of the Moon, displayed in the form of 12 different pictograms.
The device indicates the illuminated portion of the Moon with black fill on the icon.
FUNCTIONS

Alarm
At the time set as the active alarm time, the device will begin beeping. If you decide that you do not want to wake up immediately, touch the SNOOZE button (15) while the alarm is going off. After this, the alarm will be temporarily silenced and the snooze (Zz ) icon will begin flashing on the display; the device will restart the alarm after the preset period has elapsed. To stop the current alarm, touch the SNOOZE button again or press any other button.

Weather forecasting
The device indicates the forecasted weather using 3 different icon combinations: Sunny / cloudy / rainy. This icon does not indicate the current weather but the expected weather based on a 12-24 h forecast. The accuracy of the forecast is 70%.

External temperature and humidity
You can choose between displaying the temperature and relative humidity values of transmitter 1, 2, and 3 by pressing the CH button. The last option is the periodic display of the data from all transmitters. This is indicated by a circular arrow, with the number of paired transmitters displayed in the middle and the display switches between transmitters approx. every 10 seconds.

Extreme values of the measurements
It is possible to view the highest and lowest values measured in the case of both indoor and outdoor temperature and relative humidity. Press the ▲ button once to view the highest (MAX) value and once more to view the lowest (MIN) value. You can also clear the extreme values if you hold the ▲ button down for 3 seconds while the device is displaying the maximum (or minimum) value.
The device stores extreme values from its time of commissioning or from the last deletion of the extreme values.

Exact time, alarm
You can change between displaying the exact time and the alarm time by pressing the button once without holding it down. After 15 seconds, the device automatically switches back to displaying the current time.
The alarm can be activated or deactivated by first pressing the [bell] button without holding it down to display the alarm time (AL) and then pressing the ▲ button.
If an active alarm is set, this is indicated by the icon (12)

TROUBLESHOOTING

Error observed Possible resolution of the error
The weather station or the external unit is not operational. Check the charge

and the polarity of the batteries.

The weather station is not receiving signals from the external transmitter(s).

| Check the batteries of the external transmitter.
Check the channel set on both the weather station and the external unit.
Start the manual pairing of the external transmitters.
Change the position of the devices.
Place the weather station closer to the transmitter.

CLEANING, MAINTENANCE

Cleaning

  1. Use a slightly wet towel for the cleaning of the devices. Strong cleaning agents may damage the surface of the devices.
  2. Make sure that water does not enter the weather station!
  3. If you are not planning to use the devices for a longer period, remove the batteries.

Replacement of the batteries
If the display appears too faint, please replace the batteries in the weather station.
If the battery status pictogram is displayed for a specific external transmitter, the batteries of that transmitter have to be replaced. If any battery acid has leaked from the batteries, clean the battery compartment with a dry cloth while wearing protective gloves and protective goggles. Ensure that the polarity is correct when placing in the new batteries.
Important! After the batteries are replaced, the external transmitters have to be paired with the weather station again.

WARNINGS

  • The weather station can only be used under dry, indoor conditions.
  • Although the external transmitter is protected against sprayed water, put it in a shaded and preferably dry place.
  • Do not expose the device to radiated heat, direct sunlight, vibrations or an excessively humid/dusty environment.
  • The weather station can only be used for the purpose specified above in a home environment. It is not suitable for medical or public use.
  • Never disassemble the device.
  • In case of a malfunction, immediately disconnect the power supply and contact the distributor.
  • Battery replacement must be performed by an adult!
  • Ensure that the polarity is correct when placing in the batteries.
  • Do not use batteries of different brands and/or levels of charge together.
  • After replacing the batteries, put the lid on the battery compartment.
  • If the device is not used for a longer period, remove the batteries.
  • If any fluids have leaked from the batteries, clean the battery compartment with a dry cloth wearing protective gloves.
  • Remove any depleted batteries right away.
  • Caution! Incorrect battery replacement can cause explosion hazard. Only use equivalent, or interchangeable batteries for replacement.
  • Do not expose batteries to direct heat or sunlight. Never open, place into fire or short circuit the batteries.
  • Never charge non-rechargeable batteries. Explosion hazard!
  • Do not replace the battery with a rechargeable battery, as the voltage and efficiency are lower!
  • Do not weld or solder anything directly to the batteries!
  • Store unused batteries in their original packaging and away from metal objects.
