The ventilation must not be impeded by covering the appliance with items such as newspapers, tablecloths, curtains, etc.
To prevent injury, this appliance must be securely attached to the floor/wall in accordance with the installation instructions.
The mains plug is used to disconnect the appliance from the mains supply. Ensure that the main outlet is easily-accessible and remove the plug from the main outlet if you notice any abnormality with the appliance.

CONTROLS & FUNCTIONS

1. DIGITAL MEDIA PLAYER
   See the Digital Media Player section on page 8 for further details.

2. LED INDICATORS
   POWER
   When lit, the power is on.
   SIG
   When lit, the speaker is receiving an input signal.
   CLIP
   When lit, the input signal level is excessive and should be reduced.

3. INPUT 1 VOLUME CONTROL Increases or decreases the volume for input 1.

4. INPUT 2 VOLUME CONTROL Increases or decreases the volume for input 2.

5. MIC/LINE SELECTOR SWITCH Select MIC when a microphone is connected. Select LINE when an instrument or playback device is connected.

6. INPUT 1 CONNECTION
   Connect a microphone, instrument, playback device, or other line-level equipment via either 6.3mm (1/4″) Jack or XLR. Ensure the correct setting for either mic level or line level connections is selected by using the mic/line selector switch (5).

7. INPUT 2 CONNECTION
   Connect an instrument or playback device via 6.3mm (1/4″) Jack.

8. DSP SETTING INDICATOR
   Displays the current DSP setting.

9. INPUT 3/MP3 VOLUME CONTROL
   Increases or decreases the volume for input 3 or the digital media player.

10. DSP SETTING SELECTOR
    Selects the desired DSP setting. Use the dial to scroll through the 5 settings. See page 9 for further details.

11. MASTER OUTPUT This output sends out a combination of all the channels that have the volume turned up (balanced, mono summed).

12. INPUT 3 CONNECTION Connect a playback device via RCA Phono.

13. VOLTAGE SWITCH Changes the input voltage. Ensure the correct voltage is selected for your region.

14. POWER SWITCH Switches the product on or off.

15. POWER CONNECTION Connect the supplied power cable here.

DIGITAL MEDIA PLAYER

1. SD CARD
   Insert SD card here. Formats accepted include MP3, WAV, WMA, AIFF, FLAC.

2. USB
   Insert USB device here. Formats accepted include MP3, WAV, WMA, AIFF, FLAC.

3. MODE
   Press to change between Bluetooth, SD or USB devices.

4. SKIP TRACK BACKWARDS
   Selects the previous track.

5. SKIP TRACK FORWARDS
   Selects the next track.

6. REPEAT
   Press once to repeat the current track. Press twice to repeat all tracks.

7. PLAY/PAUSE
   Plays or pauses the selected track.

BLUETOOTH CONNECTION

To connect a Bluetooth device to the speaker’s digital media player, please follow the steps below.

• Ensure that the speaker is powered on and within range of the Bluetooth device.
• Press the MODE button on the speaker’s digital media player until `Bluetooth’ is displayed on the screen.
• Open the Bluetooth settings on the Bluetooth-enabled device.
• Scan for Bluetooth devices and search for SZS-D8 or SZS-D10 in the devices list.
• Select SZS-D8 or SZS-D10. The Bluetooth-enabled device should confirm that it is now connected.
• Play audio from the Bluetooth-enabled device, ensuring that the volume is turned up.
• Turn up the CH3/MP3 volume control on the speaker to the required level.

DSP SETTINGS

Below are the details of the 5 DSP presets available to use on the speaker…
FLAT Completely neutral. No DSP processing is applied, so you hear everything exactly as it is.
Examples:

• Using an external audio mixer
• Critical listening in situations where you need to hear the unprocessed sound

SPEECH

A crisp and clear sound, which aids clarity in presentations and other speech situations.
Examples:

• Presentations in office and classroom environments
• For a public announcement system at an event
• Awards and dinner events
• Amplifying drama and theatre on small stages

MUSIC

Designed to give energy and brightness to pre-recorded music.
Examples:

• House and garden parties
• Casual listening
• Fitness classes

LIVE Cut through audiences for a pronounced sound, with a slight low-end boost to add 3D depth.
Examples:

• Live gigs, rehearsals, and other musical performances
• Singer-songwriters
• Open mic nights

CLUB Boosts the bass to help drive dance music and enhance your party’s atmosphere. Ideal for larger venues.
Examples:

• Mobile DJs
• Children’s parties
