PANEL OIL HEATER

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

READ THE INSTRUCTION MANUAL CAREFULLY BEFORE USE AND RETAIN IT FOR LATER REFERENCE!

WARNINGS

  1. Before using the product for the first time, please read the instructions for use below and retain them for later reference. The original instructions were written in the Hungarian language.
  2. Children below the age of 3 years should be kept away from the appliance, except where they are under constant supervision. Children between the age of 3 and 8 may only switch the appliance on/off provided that it has been set up and installed in the normal operating position and they are under supervision, or have been instructed how to operate the appliance safely and understand the hazards associated with use. This appliance may only be used by persons with impaired physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lacking in experience or knowledge, as well as children from the age of 8, if they are under supervision or have been given instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety and they have understood the hazards associated with use. Children should not be allowed to play with the unit. Children may only clean or perform user maintenance on the appliance under supervision. WARNING: Parts of this appliance can become very hot and could cause burns. Extra care should be taken when children or handicapped persons are around.
  3. Make sure, the appliance has not damaged during transport!
  4. Do not use this heater if it has been dropped!
  5. Do not use if there are visible signs of damage of the heater!
  6. Never locate the unit directly in corners and observe the minimum mounting distances indicated in the 3. figure. Take into consideration the valid safety regulation of the county of use!
  7. You can use the appliance only standing on its soles or mounted on its brackets. Any other use may cause dangerous overheating! The appliance is intended to be used only for heating the air, not for general heating purposes.
  8. Do not place it close to flammable materials! (min. 100 cm)
  9. It is forbidden to use it where flammable vapor or explosive dust can be released! Do not use in flammable or explosive environment!
  10. Operate only under constant supervision!
  11. It is forbidden to use it near children unattended!
  12. It is PROHIBITED to use the unit near bathtubs, basins, showers, swimming pools or saunas!
  13. It is STRICTLY PROHIBITED to install and use the appliance in zone 0, 1 or 2 of premises containing bathtub or shower (see 4. figure)!
  14. In rooms with bathtub or shower, all circuits must be protected by one or more circuit-breakers (RCDs) with a nominal tripping current up to 30 mA!
  15. When installing the appliance in rooms with bathtub or shower, observe local special national regulations.
  16. The heater must be installed in such a way that the person in the bathtub or shower cannot touch the switches or other controls.
  17. The appliance must not be placed directly below or next to the mains socket!
  18. It is prohibited to use the appliance in motor vehicles or in tight (< 5 m2 ) spaces (such as elevators)!
  19. When not planning to use the unit for an extended period of time, switch it off then pull the the power cable out!
  20. Before moving the heater, always unplug it from the mains!
  21. This heater is filled with a specified amount of special oil. Any repairs to which the oil tank must be opened, should only be carried out by the manufacturer or its agent, who is advisable to be contacted in case of oil leaking.
  22. When disposing of the heater, the provisions for disposing of the oil must be followed.
  23. If any irregular operation is detected (e.g. unusual noise or burnt odor from the unit), immediately switch it off and unplug it!
  24. Make sure that no foreign objects or liquid can enter the unit through the openings.
  25. Protect from dust, humidity, sunlight and direct heat radiation!
  26. Unplug the unit from the mains before cleaning!
  27. Never touch the appliance and the power cable with wet hands!
  28. The appliance may only be connected to properly grounded 230 V~/50 Hz electric wall outlets!
  29. Unwind the power cable totally!
  30. Do not lead the power cable on the appliance!
  31. Do not lead the power cable under carpets, doormats, etc.!
  32. Do not use extension cords or distributors to connect the unit!
  33. The appliance should be located so as to allow easy access and removal of the power plug!
  34. Lead the power cable so as to prevent it from being pulled out accidentally or tripped over!
  35. The unit is for household use only, no industrial use is permitted!
  36. Due to continuous improvements, the technical data and design may change without any prior notice.

CAUTION: RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK!

Do not attempt to disassemble or modify the unit or its accessories. In case any part is damaged, immediately power off the unit and seek the assistance of a specialist.

In the event that the power cable should become damaged, it should only be replaced by the manufacturer, its service facility or similarly qualified personnel.

DO NOT COVER!
COVERING THE UNIT CAN CAUSE OVERHEATING, FIRE OR ELECTRIC SHOCK.

INSTALLATION

  1. Before switching on for the first time, carefully remove the packaging material taking care not to damage the appliance and power cable. Do not use the product if it is damaged in any way!

  2. The device may only be used in dry indoor conditions!

  3. Remove the appliance from the box. Then turn it on top and place it on a solid, horizontal surface. Do not power it on in this state!

  4. Screw the supplied soles onto the bottom of the heater. ( 2. figure )

  5. Stand the appliance on its soles on a solid, horizontal surface!

  6. For wall-mounted use, fix the heater on the wall without soles, with the included wall brackets. ( 2. figure )
    a. Fix the brackets to the wall with wall dowels and 2-2 screws. During installation, make sure that the springy, openable part of the brackets are at the appliance’s top. Use dowels that fit the wall structure and the size of the screws. Make sure the brackets are standing vertically!
    b. Carefully place and hook the bottom edge of the appliance into the brackets’ lower arm, then hook the the brackets’ upper, springy part into the appliance’s upper edge.
    c. Check that the device is stable on the wall!

  7. For the operation, the free flow of hot air must be ensured, so take into account the minimum placement distances shown in 3. figure. Wait 2-3 minutes!

  8. The appliance’s main switch (2) must be in switched off state!

  9. Connect the appliance to a standard grounded wall outlet! This makes the appliance ready for use.

CLEANING, MAINTENANCE

In order to ensure optimum functioning, the unit may require cleaning at least once a month, depending on the manner of use and degree of contamination.

  1. Switch off and power off the unit by unplugging it from the electric outlet before cleaning.
  2. Allow the appliance to cool (for at least 30 minutes).
  3. Use a slightly moistened cloth to clean the unit’s exterior. Do not use any aggressive cleaners. Avoid getting water inside the unit and on the electric components!

DISPOSAL

Waste equipment must be collected and disposed separately from household waste because it may contain components hazardous to the environment or health. Used or waste equipment may be dropped off free of charge at the point of sale, or at any distributor which sells equipment of identical nature and function. Dispose of product at a facility specializing in the collection of electronic waste. By doing so, you will protect the environment as well as the health of others and yourself. If you have any questions, contact the local waste management organization. We shall undertake the tasks pertinent to the manufacturer as prescribed in the relevant regulations and shall bear any associated costs arising.

OPERATION

You can switch on the appliance under power with the main switch (2). Then the device beeps briefly and the temperature measured by appliance can be read on the display (14), the set temperature (15), the current time (16) and the current day of the week (17). The appliance’s display will switch off after 30 seconds of inactivity. You can switch the display back on by pressing any button. Press the OK button on the appliance to switch on/off the heater. The switched off heater is indicated by OFF (8), switched on heating is indicated by (9).

General use

Switch on the heater using its OK button. Then press the appliance’s button (20). The set temperature (15) starts flashing on the display. With the help of the selector buttons (21) you can set the desired temperature between 5 – 45 °C. When the temperature measured by the appliance reaches the set temperature, the heater switches off. If the measured temperature falls 2 °C below the set temperature, the heating switches on again.

After setting the desired temperature, press the appliance’s (20) button again, then 00 flashes at the set temperature’s place. You can then use the selector buttons to set 24-hour switch off timing, per hour. If the timer is active, then its indicator is visible on the appliance’s display (10). If you set 00 value, you switch this function off with it.

After setting the switch off timer, press again the appliance’s (20) button, the current day of the week flashes on the display. Use the selector buttons to set the current day.

Current Day of Week

After setting the current day of the week, press again the appliance’s (20) button, then the current time’s hour value flashes on the appliance’s display. Set the current time using the selector buttons, then press the appliance’s (20) button again, use the selector buttons to set the minute.

By pressing the (20) button again, you exit from the setting function.

You can activate child lock function by pressing the selector buttons (21) at the same time. You can deactivate the function by pressing the selector buttons again, simultaneously. If the function is active, then its indicator is visible on the display (11).

Press and hold the appliance’s SET button for 3 seconds, this activates the appliance’s window opening detector function. If the function is active, its indication is visible on the appliance’s display (13). When using this function, if the temperature measured by the appliance decreases by at least 3 °C within a minute, then the appliance switches off for energy saving reasons. To switch off the function, press and hold the SETbutton again for 3 seconds.

In case of blackout, powering off or switching the main switch off, the current time and day settings will be lost, the set value for the thermostat and the weekly program will be retained.

Setting weekly program

You can set the exact on/off times and thermostat values for each day of the week.

You can switch on the heater with the appliance’s OK button. Then press the appliance’s SET button. The first day of the week flashes on the display. After pressing the SET button again, with the help of the selector buttons you can set the hour value of the current day’s switch on time. After this, by pressing the SET button again, with the help of the selector buttons you can set the minute value of the current day’s switch on time. After this, by pressing the SET button again, with the help of the selector buttons you can set the hour value of the current day’s switch off time. After this, by pressing the SET button again, with the help of the selector buttons you can set the minute value of the current day’s switch off time. After this, by pressing the SET button again, you can set the current day’s thermostat value. After pressing the SET button, the week’s next day flashes, like previously to that day, then you can set the desired times and temperatures for each day. If you set a time of 00:00 for the on/off switch time, then the appliance will not perform a scheduled program that day. Weekly program operation (12) is indicated by W on the display of the appliance. You can switch off weekly operation by pressing the appliance’s SETor OK button on your appliance anytime.

In case of overheating, the overheating protection function will switch off the unit, for example, when the air inlets and outlets are covered. Power off the unit by unplugging it from the electric outlet. Allow the appliance to cool (for at least 30 minutes). Check whether the air inlets and outlets are obstructed or not, and clean them if necessary. Switch on the unit again. If the overheating protection activates again, power off the unit by unplugging it from the electric outlet and contact the service facility.
