Instructions for Installation and Care of Kawasaki 610 Mule
Full Cab FITS Polycarbonate Windshield
CAUTION: Do not smoke inside the cab or expose the product to direct
flames.
Product is FLAMMABLE.
KAW-610-FC05
Be sure to read these instructions thoroughly before opening and installing
the enclosure. The installation is best done when the temperature is 70°F or
warmer. The temperature affects the adhesive Velcro. If conditions prevent
installing in warmer weather it helps to store the adhesive Velcro at room
temperature prior to installation.
-
Carefully open the carton and unroll the enclosure on a large flat surface that is clean and free of dirt or other material.
-
Check over the parts included in the carton with the parts list shown below:
- Velcro hook strips 12 each 3” long
- Velcro hook strips 1 each 50” long
- Snap Studs 17 each 1 extra
- Cab enclosure 1 each
-
Loosely drape the enclosure over the roll cage. Make sure that the cab is centered and properly positioned. The frame of the Mule should line up with the seams of the cab across the front and the rear. Zip the doors shut and you are ready to begin installation.
-
Working your way to the rear of the roll cage carefully fit the enclosure into position. Pull the lower edge of the rear panel down between the rear of the roll cage and the front of the dump bed. Attach the straps on either side of the rear panel along the bottom edge to the frame.
-
Note the position of the six double-sided Velcro strips sewn perpendicular to the front edge of each door. At these locations wrap the roll cage with one of the 6” adhesive Velcro strips. Then wrap the double-sided Velcro around the adhesive strip for a secure hold. Below are photos showing how this works.
-
Mark the locations for the stud snaps on the fenders and side panels. Carefully ensure that they correspond correctly to the snaps in the enclosure, and then install the stud snaps using only a #2 Phillips screwdriver. CAUTION: Do not use a power drill/driver as damage to the fuel tank can occur!
TIP: when installing the snaps the best way is to place the screw stud into the cap and socket on the cab enclosure first. Then hold the material over the location it will be and press the screw into the plastic marking the location that the screw will be installed. There is no need to pre-drill holes for the screws, just screw snap directly into the plastic being careful not to over tighten and strip. -
To open and stow the doors, move the zipper fully rearward and fold the bottom portion of the doors up. Then begin to form a vertical roll with the door by rolling it inward from the front edge toward the rear of the door. Secure in place using the two hook and loop straps sewn into the enclosure at those locations. Try to form a roll approximately 2” in diameter to ensure that the door will not protrude while stowed.
-
Now install the windshield as directed in the instructions.
Cleaning and Storage Recommendations
- Before removing the enclosure for storage, make sure it is clean and dry, to prevent soiling the textile and scratching the clear vinyl windows. Clean with a soft rag or sponge using a mild liquid detergent soap and warm water solution. Let the enclosure dry thoroughly before attempting to roll for storage.
- It is important that the enclosure be rolled up for storage rather than folding. Folding will cause undesirable creasing of both the enclosure textile and the clear vinyl windows. Carefully roll up the enclosure similar to the way it was when it was packed at the factory. Put the rolled enclosure back into the carton for storage at a normal room temperature. It is best not to expose the enclosure to either extreme hot or cold temperatures when storing.
- A special cleaner/conditioner is available from Falcon Ridges that will greatly increase the service life of the cab enclosure. If needed, additional hook and loop sets are available, as well as other spare parts and hardware. Contact Falcon Ridges for information.
- Transporting or trailering your UTV with the enclosure installed is not generally recommended. It is best to remove the enclosure before transporting your UTV.
