NEED YOUR ATTENTION

  1. This multifunctional microscope includes some sharp labware and some experimental products, so please keep all apparatus well and avoid contact with children.
  2. External power supply is needed for the microscope, so please use the product under the supervision of adults.
  3. Please do not discard any experimental apparatus to the fire to avoid violent combustion or explosion.
  4. It is prohibited to disassemble the machine. In case of any problems, please contact the dealer who will solve the problem together with the manufacturer.
  5. It should be noted especially that a dry cloth shall be taken to wipe the lens of the machine without using irritant abluents such as soaps. The professional cleaning paper or cloth, or the soft rag or paper shall be used to clean the lens of the eyepiece or objective glass.
  6. Please put all the items back in their original places after the experiment.

OPERATING INSTRUCTION

Select the target
the part requiring further observation shall be adjusted to the centre with low power lens 4X objective along with the adjustable of the image to the clearest degree for observation at high power lens.

The high-powered lens replace the converter
The converter shall be turned to replace with the high-powered lens which shall be rotated slowly to observe from the side (to prevent collision with object slide by high-powered lens), otherwise, it means that the focal length of the low power lens hasn’t been adjusted well. So re-operation shall be conducted.

Focal length adjustment
After the converting with high power lens, it should be observed on the eyepiece with the left eye, to see an unclear image, then turn the fine-moving hand wheel to achieve a clear image (do not use coarse adjustment device!). If the vision brightness is inappropriate, the condenser can be adjusted, and if it is needed to replace the specimen in the slide, the coarse-moving hand wheel must be turned clockwise(Do not turn in the wrong direction) to lower the lens stage and remove the specimen on the slide.

APPLICATION METHOD FOR LOW POWER BIOLOGICAL MICROSCOPE

Microscope taking and placing
The microscope should be stored on a cabinet or case usually to be taken out only in use. The right hand should hold its arm tightly and the left hand should support its base to put the microscope on the experimental stage in front of your left shoulder. It is  appropriate that the back-end of the base shall be 1-2 can run away from the table edge for the convenience of sitting operation.

Microscope focusing:
The rotator shall be moved with thumb and middle (it should not be moved by holding the objective) so that the low power lens can be aligned with the light hole of the low power lens (when the knocking sound is heard in rotation, it mean that objective optical axis has been aligned to the centre of the lens cone). Turn on the light source, observe with the left eye in the eyepiece(with the right eye open). while adjusting the dimming knob until the light is even and bright within the view.

The specimen of the slide shall be placed on the microscope
A slice specimen shall be put on the stage with the part having cover glass on the upside. It is prohibited to do it in reverse and the part for observation shall be regulated to the right middle side of the light hole.

Focal length adjustment
The coarse-moving hand wheel shall be rotated by the left hand in the counter- clockwise direction to life the platform slowly to about 5mm away from the specimen. It should be noted that observation on the eyepiece shall not be conducted in the platform lifting process. The platform shall be lifted and watched from the right side to avoid over lifting for the damage of the lens or the specimen. Then, both eyes shall be open at the same time with the left eye observing on the eyepiece. The coarse-moving hand wheel shall be rotated slowly by the left hand clockwise to slow down the platform until the image is clear in vision. In case the image is not in the centre of the vision, it can be adjusted (it should be noted that the direction of the moving slide is adverse to the moving direction of the image in vision). If the brightness in the vision is inappropriate, the condenser can be lifted and the light rotary knob can be adjusted. If the platform declination has been more than the working distance(>5.40 mm) in adjusting the focal length without seeing the image, it means that the operation fails, which shall be conducted for a second time. Be sure not to lift up the microscope stage blindly in a hurry.

TIPS OF MAINTENANCE

  1. In the unpacking and installation process, please pay attention to handling with care without collision. Each moving part shall be adjusted property with the entire machine and optical components wiped clean.
  2. It should be used rationally and be cleaned after completion of the experiment with the covering of dust cover.
  3. It shall not be disassembled arbitrarily except for the replaceable parts, so as to avoid the damage of position correctness.
  4. The instrument should be placed in a dry and clean environment to be away from pollution and corrosive environment.
  5. In case of any failure or quality problems, it should be sent to the professional maintenance department for repair.
The objective and eyepiece shall be dissembled and placed in dry tanks for long term non-use.
The entire machine shall be covered with dust cover to avoid getting mouldy or contaminated.

MICROSCOPES KNOWLEDGE TO KNOW

How to make a specimen

  1. First, the object we prepared shall be very thin so that light can pass through the specimen and the specimen can be observed by the microscope.
  2. Sliced onion, leaf epidermis, or saline-soaked skin are all specimens easy to be made and are very suitable for beginners.

The detail in making temporary specimen

  1. The object slide shall be cleaned.
  2. A very thin slice specimen shall be prepared, and the ring cutter shall be needed. The preparation process shall be very careful, and you can ask for help from your parents or teachers. The slice sample shall be calmed by the forceps and put in the centre of the slide with a drop of water added by the sucker.
  3. The temporary cover glass shall be taken out to be covered to the micro slide gently. Please be careful not to mix any air bubbles.
  4. The excess water shall be sucked out with an absorbent paper, or it is better to use the paper tower will strong absorbent property.
  5. In this way, your temporary sample slice will be completed.

How to make a permanent sample slice

  1. According to steps 1.2.and 3 for temporary specimen preparation.
  2. A few drops of glue or colouring agent shall be added before covering the cover glass.
  3. The cover glass shall be covered to the slide gently without air bubbles leaving inside.
  4. The prepared sample slice shall be placed in a safe place after completion for gradually drying.
