Assembly and installation instructions
- The light fitting must be installed by a qualified electrician. The main supply must be disconnected at the fuse box before starting installation. Before starting with installation, use a voltage tester to make sure the wiring is of the circuit. It is not sufficient just to turn off the power at the switch. (see fig. 1) Choose the most suitable place for the lighting. Installation height from 2 to 2,5 meters from the ground. You also need to ensure that in relation to the earthing on the electrical lead the local regulations are observed.
- Drill holes in the wall. Then insert the plugs. Put the cable from the wall through the hole in the installation base. Screw the installation base on the wall.
- Connect the wires from the wall to the connector block. Attach the wires, and keep the correct colors in track: Blue lead = Neutral (N). Brown or Black lead = Live (L). Yellow/Green lead = Earth (not on class II light fittings). Note that: the (brown) wire L1 corresponds to the mains cable L (or the connector marked with the symbol L), the (blue) wire corresponds to the neutral conductor N (or the connector marked with the symbol N), the (yellow/green) wire 1 corresponds to the earth cable (or the luster terminal with symbol ) Prevent humidity on all components. Make sure there is a watertight seal.
- Make sure you put a light bulb corresponding to the type and wattage as indicated on the packaging. You can place the lamp over the mounting plate on the wall.
- Switch on the main supply. The light is now ready for use.
- Important: you cannot use an energy-saving lamp or a sensor lamp with switching, this will defect the sensor! Maintenance requirements: It is recommended that the surface is rubbed regularly with neutral oil or water without cleaning agents and then wiped with a soft cloth. Keep the armature free from a salty environment, coastal location, and acid-free environment, this affects the armature. Rub it regularly with Carwash, it ensures a longer lifetime of the armature. In case of damage or fracture of the protective glass, replace the glass directly to insure the IP value. Make sure when replacing the lamp that the power is off and the lamp has cooled down.
Sensor setting
- Mounting height between 2.0 – 2.5 m from the ground.
- Sensor angle: Approx 120°
- Max. effective distance: Approx. 10 m, this depends on the weather conditions and the mounting height.
- Ambient light: 3 – 1000 LUX adjustable.
- Adjusting the sensor: slide/turn the black cap over the sensor sideways downwards.
- The infrared motion sensor automatically detects day and night when the LUX screw is set downwards and only works in the evening or night when the LUX screw is set to the right.
- Duration: 5 sec – 12 min. The infrared motion detector burn time can be set by means of a button. the TIME screw. Min 5 sec if the TIME screw is set downwards and max 12 min if the TIME screw is set to the right.
- Time extension: When an object is detected within the detection time, the detection time is restarted.
- Power up last adjustment: Turn off the power when the lamp is working and turn the power back on within 0.5 sec – 1.5 sec. If you want to revert the last adjustment, turn off the power for 10 sec and the sensor will go into default mode.
The unit will not work. – No power. The lamp is not fitted correctly or has
broken.
Incorrect wiring. – Check power and fuse. Check lamp. Check to wire.
The sensing range is too short. – The unit is fixed too high, or the angle of
approach into detection bands is incorrect.
Another lighting interferes with the sensitivity of the PIR sensor.
The drawings are for illustrative purposes only. They may vary in the model of
the lamp.
