DEVICE CONNECTION, USAGE AND OPERATION

The toaster is intended for toasting one or more slices of bread using radiant heat. Any other use is to be considered improper and therefore dangerous.

FIRST IGNITION OR RE-IGNITION AFTER A LONG PERIOD OF INACTIVITY (Reference page 2)

  1. Carry out the operations in a ventilated room.
  2. Insert the power plug into the socket.
  3. Turn the knobs (3) of the timers clockwise.
  4. The indicator lights (2) should stay on for about 4 minutes.
  5. Repeat the sequence described above after a few minutes.
During the execution of these vacuum cycles, white smoke might come out of the ovens.
It is the processing residue of the heating element.

OPERATION

Attention: The maximum thickness of the bread or sandwich inserted in the sandwich tongs (1) is 3 cm. The minimum size of the slice of bread is 4x4cm while the maximum  is 14x14cm.
The toaster works then automatically, and the ovens are completely independent of each other, each one with its own timer.

  1. Insert the crumb tray (4).
  2. Insert the power plug into the power outlet.
  3. Remove the tong by grasping it by the handles.
  4. By exerting a slight pressure on the sandwich tong-handles, the sandwich tongs widen.
  5. Insert the slices or sandwich into the sandwich tong with movable walls.
  6. You can then insert the sandwich, relieve the pressure on the handles and insert the sandwich tong into the slot.
  7. Turn the knob (3) of the timer clockwise to the desired heating time: the lighting of the indicator light (2) displays the operating time.
  8. Once the set heating time has elapsed, remove the sandwich tong from the slot.
  9. Disconnect the power plug at the end of use.
Warning: Do not put your hands into the oven. Bread must be introduced strictly into the sandwich tongs.
Use only the original sandwich tongs supplied.

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR USE

Always follow the requirements for safe use (CHAPTER 2)
The time required to obtain the right toasting level of the bread and the filling depends on many different variables such as quality and variety of food, bread thickness, food  dimensions, bread-and filling temperature.
The toasting time for a slice of white bread (size 10×10 cm, room temperature) can be set with the timer to less than two minutes.
It is then recommended to establish the ideal cooking time for your needs through subsequent tests.
It should also be noted that:

  • The possible buttering of the bread surfaces makes the slice softer and cooked but lengthens the cooking time.
  • The best results are obtained by using bread and filling at room temperature.
  • If you use black bread instead of white bread, you need to increase the cooking time.
  • When the toaster is cold, the cooking time must be increased.
  • The slices of bread must be cut straight and not rough.
  • Never use too small pieces of bread.
Warning: Food cooked with this toaster can be extremely hot. Handle it carefully.

CLEANING

  • Disconnect the power plug before any cleaning operation
  • Allow the toaster to cool before each cleaning or moving operation
  • Top and base are in polished aluminum. Clean with a dump cloth only.
  • Clean the stainless-steel toaster (7000, 7040) externally with a damp cloth or specific products for stainless steel.
  • Clean the body of coloured toaster versions (7001, 7002, 7003, 7004, 7005) with a damp cloth only.
