SMART HEATER

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS READ THE INSTRUCTION MANUAL CAREFULLY BEFORE USE AND RETAIN IT FOR LATER REFERENCE!

WARNINGS

  1. Before using the product for the first time, please read the instructions for use below and retain them for later reference. The original instructions were written in the Hungarian language.

  2. Children below the age of 3 years should be kept away from the appliance, except where they are under constant supervision. Children between the age of 3 and 8 may only switch the appliance on/off provided that it has been set up and installed in the normal operating position and they are under supervision, or have been instructed how to operate the appliance safely and understand the hazards associated with use. This appliance may only be used by persons with impaired physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lacking in experience or knowledge, as well as children from the age of 8, if they are under supervision or have been given instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety and they have understood the hazards associated with use. Children should not be allowed to play with the unit.
    Children may only clean or perform user maintenance on the appliance under supervision.
    WARNING: Parts of this appliance can become very hot and could cause burns. Extra care should be taken when children or handicapped persons are around.

  3. Confirm that the appliance has not been damaged in transit!

  4. Do not use this heater if it has been dropped!

  5. Do not use if there are visible signs of damage to the heater!

  6. Do not use the heater with damaged glass!

  7. Never locate the appliance directly in corners and observe the minimum installation distances indicated in the 1. figure. Always observe the health and safety regulations valid in the country of use!

  8. The appliance should be used as intended for warming air, not for general heating purposes.

  9. The stream of hot air should not be directed straight to curtains or other flammable materials!

  10. Do not locate near flammable materials (min. 100 cm).

  11. Do not use in locations where flammable vapors or explosive dust may be released. Do not use near flammable materials or in potentially explosive atmospheres!

  12. It is PROHIBITED to use the appliance near bathtubs, basins, showers, swimming pools, or saunas!

  13. It is STRICTLY PROHIBITED to install or use the appliance in zones 0 and 1 of premises containing bathtubs or showers (see 5. figure)!

  14. All circuits in premises containing bathtubs or showers shall be protected with one or more RCDs with a rated triggering current of up to 30 mA!

  15. Observe the local or special national regulations when installing an appliance on-premises containing bathtubs or showers.

  16. The heater has to be mounted in such a position, so as to disable the person staying in the bathtub or under the shower to touch the switches and other control appliances.

  17. It is forbidden to place the appliance directly below a power socket!

  18. When locating and mounting the appliance, please take into account the wall material and its bearing capacity!

  19. Before powering on the appliance, make sure it is fixed and stable on the wall!

  20. Operate only under constant supervision!

  21. Do not operate unattended in the presence of children!

  22. It is prohibited to use the appliance in motor vehicles or in confined spaces (< 5 m2 ) such as elevators!

  23. When not planning to use the appliance for an extended period of time, switch it off then remove the power plug from the outlet!

  24. Always remove power from the heater before moving it!

  25. If any irregular operation is detected (e.g., unusual noise or burnt odor from the appliance), immediately switch it off and unplug the power plug!

  26. Make sure that no foreign objects or liquid can enter the appliance through the openings.

  27. Protect from dust, humidity, sunlight, and direct heat radiation!

  28. Power off the appliance by unplugging it from the electric outlet before cleaning!

  29. Do not touch the appliance or the power cable with wet hands!

  30. The appliance may only be connected to properly grounded 230 V ~ / 50 Hz electric wall outlets!

  31. Unwind the power cable completely!

  32. Do not lead the power cable on the appliance, or near the air inlet and outlet openings!

  33. Do not lead the power cable under carpets, doormats, etc.!

  34. Do not use extension cords or power strips to connect the appliance!

  35. The appliance should be located so as to allow easy access and removal of the power plug!

  36. Lead the power cable so as to prevent it from being pulled out accidentally or tripped over.

  37. The appliance is intended for household use. No industrial use is permitted!

  38. Due to continuous improvements, the technical data and design may change without any prior notice.

CAUTION: RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK!
Do not attempt to disassemble or modify the unit or its accessories. In case any part is damaged, immediately power off the unit and seek the assistance of a specialist.
In the event that the power cable should become damaged, it should only be replaced by the manufacturer, its service facility or similarly qualified personnel.

DO NOT COVER!
COVERING THE UNIT CAN CAUSE OVERHEATING, FIRE, OR ELECTRIC SHOCK.

INSTALLATION

  1. Before installation, carefully remove packaging, and make sure not to damage the appliance or the connecting cable. The appliance must not be operated if damaged in any way!

  2. Take out the appliance from the box!

  3. Fasten the enclosed bases to the bottom of the heater (3. figure). Use the 4 small screws for each for that purpose.

  4. Stand the appliance on its feet on a hard, flat surface!

  5. If it is used wall-mounted, mount the appliance without bases on the wall, using the enclosed fittings (4. figure).
    a. Remove the wall consoles from the back of the appliance after loosening the two safety screws.
    b. Fasten the wall console with wall studs and 4 screws to the wall. Use studs conforming to the size of the screws and the structure of the wall. Make sure the wall console stays horizontally on the wall.
    c. Hang the 2 hangers located at the bottom of the back side of the appliance onto the screws, then tilt towards the wall and hook the two upper fixing points as well.
    d. Tighten the safety screws.

  6. To ensure proper operation, free circulation of hot air must be ensured. Therefore, please, observe the minimum installation distances indicated in the 2. figure!

  7. The switches on the appliance must be in OFF position!

  8. Connect the appliance into a standard grounded wall power socket! Now the appliance is ready for operation!

CLEANING & MAINTENANCE

In order to ensure optimum functioning, the appliance may require cleaning at least once a month, depending on the manner of use and degree of contamination.

  1. Switch off and power off the appliance by unplugging it from the electric outlet before cleaning.
  2. Allow the appliance to cool down (for at least 30 minutes).
  3. Clean the protective grill using a vacuum cleaner equipped with a brush accessory.
  4. Use a slightly moistened cloth to clean the appliance’s outer surface. Do not use any aggressive cleaners.
    Avoid getting water inside of and on the electric components of the appliance!

TROUBLESHOOTING

Malfunction Solution
The unit doesn’t work in the heating stages. Check the power supply.

Check the thermostat settings.
The overheating protection may activate.
The overheating protection activates frequently.| Clean the appliance.

DISPOSAL
Waste equipment must be collected and disposed of separately of household waste because it may contain components hazardous to the environment or health. Used or waste equipment may be dropped off free of charge at the point of sale, or at any distributor which sells equipment of identical nature and function. Dispose of products at a facility specializing in the collection of electronic waste. By doing so, you will protect the environment as well as the health of others and yourself. If you have any questions, contact the local waste management organization. We shall undertake the tasks pertinent to the manufacturer as prescribed in the relevant regulations and shall bear any associated costs arising.

OPERATION

The unit can be controlled with its touch buttons or with a free smartphone application.
With the appliance’s touch buttons: After you have connected the appliance to the power network, switch it on with the main switch. It emits a short beep. You can switch on or off the appliance with the button. On the left side of the screen, is the measured temperature, on the right side the set temperature is readable. You can set the desired temperature of 5 – 40 °C of the unit with its touch button (14.). If the room temperature is the same as the set temperature, the appliance will no longer heat. The appliance switches on when the room temperature drops 2 °C below the set value. Heating stages can be selected with buttons. The low stage (1000 W) is indicated with a mark, while the high stage (2000 W) is indicated with a mark on the display. With the help of the button, you can set the remaining operating time, up to 24 hours. The child lock function can be switched on or off with the child lock (13.) button of the appliance by holding it for 3 seconds. In case of a power cut or after switching off with the main switch, all settings, including child lock will be deleted.
After switching on, the default thermostat temperature is 25 °C. When switched off with the button, the thermostat, and heating stage sets are retained.

With smartphone application. The mobile phone needs to be connected to the internet.

  1. Scan the QR code (6. figure) with your smartphone then download and install the “Tuya Smart” application.

  2. Select the country dialing number, enter your mobile phone number and press the “Get” button.

  3. Enter the “Verification code” you got in the SMS and enter the password you want to use in the application, which should consist of numbers and letters.

  4. log in to the application: „Login”

  5. Make sure your appliance and smartphone are as close as possible to the wifi router and that both are connected to it.

  6. Add the new appliance to the program by pressing the “+” button.
    • Select the appliance type: “Heater”.
    • Press the “Finish network configuration” button.
    • Press and hold the button for more than 5 seconds until the beep sound
    • Tick the check box, and press the „Next: Connect appliance with Wi-Fi” button
    • Enter the Wi-Fi password, and press the „Confirm” button.
    • Press and hold the button for more than 5 seconds until the beep sound. The appliance is connecting the cloud-based application.

  7. If the connection under the 6. point was not successful, “Failed to add” is displayed.
    • Choose the lower „Add appliance with other methods” possibility.
    • Press and hold the button for more than 5 seconds until the beep sound.
    • Press the „Finish network configuration” button.
    • Tick the check box, and press the „Next: Connect appliance with Wi-Fi” button
    • Enter the Wi-Fi password, and press the „Confirm” button.
    • On the appearing „Connect phone to appliance’s wifi hotspot” screen, choose the „Connect now” option.
    • Press and hold the button for more than 5 seconds until the beep sound, until the WLAN network shows up on the „SmartLifeXXXX” network. Choose this for the connection. If the status is „Connected”, then press the step back button on the mobile.
    • The „Connecting now” screen runs down, and the appliance is connected to the cloud-based application.

  8. In the application, you can see the room temperature, you can switch on/off the appliance, you can choose the low (Low) or high (High)heating stage, you can switch the child lock on/off, and you can set switch-off timing, and you can set  the exact  times and  dates for switching the appliance on and off.

In the event of overheating, the overheating protection function will switch off the appliance, for example when the air inlets and outlets are covered. Power off the appliance by unplugging it from the electric outlet. Allow the appliance to cool (for at least 30 minutes). Check whether the air inlets and outlets are obstructed or not, and clean them if necessary. Install the appliance again. If the overheating protection activates again, power off the appliance by unplugging it from the electric outlet and contact the service facility.
