WALL CLOCK WITH OUTDOOR/INDOOR THERMOMETER
Before using the product for the first time, please read the instructions for use below and retain them for later reference. The original instructions were written in the Hungarian language.
• brushed aluminium frame, glass face • large, easy-to-read dial • continuously moving seconds arm • 433,92MHz outdoor temperature transmitter, 60m range in open terrain • outdoor and indoor temperature display (°C or °F) • display of maximum and minimum values • wall-mountable • easy setup
SETUP AND SETTINGS
- After unpacking the product, check that it has not been damaged in transit. Do not install if damaged.
- Insert one 1.5V AA sized battery into the clock’s battery compartment, observing polarity.
- Set the current time using the rotating knob.
- First, insert 2 x 1.5V AAA batteries into the outdoor transmitter then 2 x 1.5V AAA batteries into the indoor unit, observing the polarity markings.
- Hang the clock on the wall. (The fasteners are not included. Choose fasteners appropriate for use with your wall structure.)
The default channel used by the outdoor transmitter is Channel #1 (CH1) which should not be changed as the indoor unit is only able to receive that channel. Ensure that the outdoor transmitter set to channel 1# is located the closest to the indoor unit for pairing.
After inserting the batteries, the indoor unit will automatically search for and register the outdoor transmitter set to channel #1 (CH1) for 3 minutes. The signal reception icon will flash in the meantime. On successful reception, the outdoor temperature will display. If no signal is received, try to manually pair the outdoor transmitter.
LOCATION
The indoor unit and the outdoor transmitter can be either wall-mounted or
placed on a horizontal surface by opening the stand. To ensure accurate
measurement, select a dry and shaded location for the outdoor transmitter.
Even though it is resistant to splashing water, it must not be exposed to
constantly high humidity.
Preferably move the units away from other electromagnetic signal sources that
may cause electrical interference.
Please note that the transmitter’s range is 60m in the open range, which of
course is reduced by building walls, reinforced concrete structures and other
radio-frequency interference sources.
MANUAL PAIRING OF OUTDOOR TRANSMITTER
The default channel the outdoor transmitter uses is #1, and CH1 is displayed
accordingly on the transmitter’s LCD display. If this is set to a different
channel, reset it by pressing the CH button on the outdoor transmitter.
Then keep button (8) pressed on the indoor unit until the signal reception
icon begins to flash. On successful reception, the outdoor temperature will
display (OUTDOOR TEMP). Confirm that the value matches the one displayed on
the outdoor transmitter. If not, start pairing the units again.
FUNCTIONS
Indoor temperature
The indoor temperature is displayed on the LCD display of the indoor unit, in
the right row (INDOOR TEMP). Briefly pressing button (7) toggles display in
Celsius degree (°C) or Fahrenheit degree (°F) units.
Outdoor temperature
The outdoor temperature transmitted by outdoor transmitter is located in the
left row of the indoor unit’s display (OUTDOOR TEMP).
The temperature is also displayed on the outdoor transmitter’s LCD display.
The °C/°F button under the battery compartment lid is used to switch between
°C and °F temperature display. This setting has no effect on the outdoor
temperature unit of measurement that is displayed on the indoor unit.
Measured value extremes
It is possible to display the maximum and minimum measured values for both the
outdoor and indoor temperatures. Press button (6) once for the highest (MAX),
and once more for the lowest (MIN) values. The extreme figures can be cleared
by keeping the button (6) pressed for 2 seconds while the highest (or lowest)
value is displayed.
The extremes are stored by the unit from the time it is set up or from the
time the last extreme is cleared.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Cause | Solution |
---|---|
The indoor unit or the outdoor transmitter does not work. | Check the charge |
and polarity of the batteries.
The indoor unit is not receiving a signal from the outdoor transmitter.| Check
the outdoor transmitter’s batteries.
Ensure that the appropriate channel is selected on the outdoor unit (must be
Ch1).
Perform the manual pairing of the outdoor transmitter.
Relocate of reorient the unit.
Place the two units closer to each other
CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
Care
1. A slightly dampened cloth can be used to clean the equipment. Aggressive
detergents can mar the units’ finish.
2. Do not allow water to enter the units.
3. When not planning to use the units for an extended period of time, remove
the batteries.
Changing batteries
Replace the battery in the indoor unit if the display appears faint. If the
battery status icon appears on the outdoor transmitter’s display, the battery
should be replaced in the transmitter. If the batteries have leaked
electrolyte, wear protective gloves and goggles and clean the battery
compartment with a dry cloth. Insert the new batteries observing the polarity.
Important! The outdoor transmitter must be paired again with the indoor
unit after battery replacement.
WARNINGS
– The indoor unit may only be used indoors in dry conditions.
– Even though the outdoor transmitter is protected against splashing water, it
should be located in shady and dry place.
– Do not expose the unit to radiating heat, direct sunlight, vibration or
humid, dusty areas.
– Fragile! Observe care when handling the bulbs as glass fragments can cause
injury.
– The unit is intended only the above mentioned purpose, in a residential
environment. It is not suitable for medical or commercial use.
– Do not place any open flame sources such as burning candles on the unit.
– Never attempt to disassemble the unit.
– The battery should be replaced by adults only.
– Insert the batteries observing the polarity.
– Do not use different kinds of batteries and/or used and new batteries
together.
– After replacing the batteries fasten the battery compartment’s lid.
– Remove the battery if you are not planning to use the product for an
extended period of time.
– If there is any liquid flown out from the battery, wear protective gloves
and clean the battery compartment with a dry cloth.
– Immediately remove the depleted battery.
– Warning! Risk of explosion in case of incorrect battery replacement! It can
be replaced only with the same or a replacement type.
– Do not expose the batteries to direct heat radiation and sunshine. It is
forbidden to open them up, to throw them into fire or to short-circuit them.
– Non-rechargeable batteries must not be charged. Risk of explosion!
– Do not insert an accumulator instead of the battery, because it provides
significantly lower voltage and efficiency.
– Do not weld or solder directly to the battery.
– Store unused batteries in their original packaging, away from metal objects.
– Do not mix batteries which have already been unpacked. The appliance should
be located so as to allow easy access and removal of the power plug.
– In case of any anomaly, immediately power off the unit and contact the
retailer.
The products and the batteries are not toys. Keep out of reach of children..
DISPOSAL
Waste equipment must be collected and disposed separately from household waste
because it may contain components hazardous to the environment or health. Used
or waste equipment may be dropped off free of charge at the point of sale, or
at any distributor which sells equipment of identical nature and function.
Dispose of product at a facility specializing in the collection of electronic
waste. By doing so, you will protect the environment as well as the health of
others and yourself. If you have any questions, contact the local waste
management organization. We shall undertake the tasks pertinent to the
manufacturer as prescribed in the relevant regulations and shall bear any
associated costs arising.
DISPOSING OFALKALINEAND RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES
Batteries, whether alkaline or rechargeable, must not be handled together with
regular household waste. It is the legal obligation of the product’s user to
dispose of batteries at a nearby collection center or at a retail shop. This
ensures that the batteries are ultimately neutralized in an environment-
friendly way.
