COMMISSIONING
Place the floodlight on a dry and level surface. The adjustable bracket can be
used to set various inclinations for the floodlight.
INSERTING AND REMOVING THE BATTERY
The floodlight is intended for operation with the subsequently listed
batteries: brennenstuhl® professional line battery AB 1805
Bosch battery GBA 18 V x.x Ah Professional
Bosch ProCORE 18 V (up to a max. of 12 Ah) Professional
Dewalt 18 Volt rechargeable batteries
Makita 18 Volt rechargeable batteries
Metabo (CAS) 18 Volt rechargeable batteries
Milwaukee 18 Volt rechargeable batteries
The adapter can be inserted easily and quickly. To do so, open the lock (Fig. 1a) and fold the battery cover to the side (Fig. 1a). Now insert the suitable adapter (Fig. 1c) into the Brennenstuhl interface (Fig. 1b) and lock it using the red locking mechanism (Fig. 1d). Insert the charged 18 Volt rechargeable battery into the battery holder from the side (Fig. 1e) until it noticeably engages in the end position. To remove the rechargeable battery, press the battery unlocking button and pull the rechargeable battery out of the battery holder to the side. Afterward, close the cover again (Fig. 1f). To ensure IP65 (dust-protected and protected against splashing water), the floodlight may only be operated with correctly closed battery cover. If the device is not used for a longer period of time, remove the rechargeable battery.
The floodlight can also be operated without battery cover up to 12 Ah rechargeable batteries; in this case, the IP class will, however, be reduced to IP20 and the floodlight may only be operated in a dry environment. To do so, open the battery cover locking (Fig. 1f). Afterwards, remove the battery cover.
OPERATION OF THE HYBRID MAINS FLOODLIGHT WITH RECHARGEABLE BATTERY
To switch the floodlight on, press the button at the back (Fig. 2). Press the switch multiple times (Fig. 2) to set the brightness to 100%, then 75%, 50%, then 25% and then “off”. Keep the button pressed (Fig. 2) to continuously reduce or increase the brightness. The lower the brightness selected, the longer the floodlight will burn. If the switch is left in any of its “on” positions for longer than 5 seconds, then pressing it once again will always turn it off. If the rechargeable battery is almost flat and the connection cable is not connected, the LED floodlight will flash 5 times. Afterwards, the floodlight remains on for approx. 10 minutes with 50% brightness before it is switched off by the deep discharge protection function. If the connection cable is connected while the floodlight is switched on (Fig. 3), the floodlight will flash 3 times and then automatically switch into mains operation with 100% light.
OPERATION OF THE HYBRID FLOODLIGHT WITH POWER SUPPLY
The floodlight can be connected to the power supply using the supplied plug-in cable via the connection socket at the back side (Fig. 3). To switch the floodlight on, operate the button on the back (Fig. 2). Press the switch multiple times (Fig. 2) to set the brightness to 100%, then 75%, 50%, then 25% and then “off”. Keep the button pressed (Fig. 2) to continuously reduce or increase the brightness. If the switch is left in any of its “on” positions for longer than 5 seconds, then pressing it once again will always turn it off. If the floodlight is connected to the mains, the rechargeable battery is not charged. If the floodlight is connected to the power supply, the floodlight is operated with mains voltage by default. In case of power failure or if the device is unplugged from the mains, the floodlight will automatically switch to battery operation if a rechargeable battery with sufficient charging is inserted into the battery holder. This is signalled by the floodlight flashing three times.
CHARGING THE RECHARGEABLE BATTERY
Only use one of the manufacturer’s original charging device: Bosch, Dewalt, Makita, Metabo (CAS), Milwaukee.
TRIPOD MOUNTING
By means of the holes in the holding bracket, the floodlight can be mounted on a Brennenstuhl tripod.
SCOPE OF DELIVERY
