Soft Top Cap Installation
-
Begin by laying the top cap on to the roof of the unit. Make sure the end with the longer ears is oriented towards the front of the vehicle/flat edge to the back.
-
Place a piece of the adhesive backed Velcro around the roll cage on each of the 4 corners. This Velcro will be used to secure the nylon T-strips that secure the top cap to the roll cage.
-
Attach one of the webbing strips around the previously installed adhesive Velcro strips. Be sure the webbing strip is oriented towards the top cap.
-
Loosely connect each of the webbing strips to the ladder lock buckle on each of the 4 corners. Do not tighten at this time. The following images shows how the webbing should be fed through the ladder lock buckle.
-
Once all for corners are started, begin by tightening each corner slightly. Work your way around the vehicle tightening each corner. Be sure to keep the edges of the top cap aligned with the roll cage. Keep working your way around the vehicle until the top cap is centered and secured tightly to the roll cage. When this is done the installation is completed. The following images shows a completed top cap installation.
Cleaning and Storage Recommendations
- Before removing the Falcon Ridge Cab for storage, make sure it is very clean in order to prevent scratching of the window panels. Clean with a soft rag or sponge using a mild liquid detergent soap and warm water solution. Never rub the windows with a dry cloth or rag! Let the Cab dry thoroughly before attempting to roll for storage.
- It is important that the Cab be rolled up for storage rather than folding. Folding will cause damage to the windows!!! Carefully roll up the Cab similar to the way it was when it was packed at the factory On a large, clean and flat surface, fold the doors over the rear panel first, then, interleave the top and windshield on top of the doors. Begin rolling the Cab into a roll approximately 8 inches in diameter. Put the rolled Cab back into the carton for storage at a normal room temperature. It is best not to expose the Cab to either extreme hot or cold temperatures when storing.
- A special cleaner conditioner is available from Falcon Ridge that will greatly increase the service life of the Cab Enclosure. In addition, if additional hook and loop sets are needed, they can also be ordered.
