Safety Precautions

The blades are sharp and handled with care. Hold the knife blade at the top away from the cutting edge, both when handling and cleaning.
Do not plug the appliance into the power supply unless it is fully assembled and always unplug it thereof before disassembling the appliance or handling the knife blade.
Remove the knife blade before emptying the bowl.
Never use an unauthorized attachment.
Don’t let children play with this appliance.
Never use a damaged appliance. Get it checked or repaired: see “service”. Never let the power unit, cord, or plug get wet.
Don’t let excess cord hang over the edge of a table or workshop or touch a hot surface.
Never misuse your food chopper, only use it for its intended domestic use.
Should you notice any visible damage to the appliance do not use it.
This appliance is not intended for use by children or mentally disabled people without supervision. Never leave the appliance unattended.
IMPORTANT NOTE
Do not run the chopper for more than 20 seconds continuously. Leave it to cool down for 1 minute in between each 10-second operation. Do not operate the chopper if the bowl is empty. Never operate the chopper with a bowl filled with liquid.
Plugging the appliance into the socket
Make sure that your electricity supply is of appropriate voltage and frequency for the connection of the specific appliance.

Necessary steps before using the appliance for the first time

Remove all packaging including the plastic blade covers from the knife blade. These covers should be discarded as they are meant to protect the blades during manufacture and transit only.
Wash the parts: see “cleaning”.

Use of the appliance

  1. Place the non-slip mat onto the work surface, rib side down.

  2. Position the bowl onto the middle of the nonslip mat.

  3. Fit the knife blade over the pin in the bowl.

  4. Add your food, see the processing guide. – Cut large pieces of food into 1-2 cm pieces (1/2-3/4 in pieces). – Don’t chop hard foods such as coffee beans, ice cubes, spices, or chocolate- the blade might be damaged.

  5. Fit the splashguard. Make sure the slots in the splashguard fit over the handles on the rim of the bowl. – The chopper will not operate unless the splash guard is fitted.

  6. Fit the power unit. The power unit will only fit correctly in two positions.

  7. Plug the appliance in the socket and press down on the power unit for short lengths of time to produce a pulsing action
    – This will avoid overprocessing the ingredients.
    – If the machine doesn’t function properly, remove some of the mixtures and continue processing in several batches. Stop the machine and scrape down if necessary.
    – Do not use the chopper for more than 10 seconds continuously. Always leave it to cool down for 1 minute in between every 10 seconds of operation.

  8. After use, unplug and dismantle the appliance.

Cleaning

Always switch the chopper off and unplug it before cleaning.
Handle the cutting blades very carefully as they are extremely sharp.
Some food will discolor. It won’t harm the plastic or affect the flavor of your food.
Power unit and nonslip mat
Wipe with a damp cloth and then dry. Other parts Wash by hand, then dry the unit thoroughly. Or wash on the top rack of your dishwasher.
Storage
Assemble the chopper and wrap the cord around it.
Service and customer care
If the cord is damaged it must be replaced for safety reasons. Contact an authorized supplier or distributor in order to replace it.
