This user manual is addressed to the end user. Read this information carefully before installing or using the product.

Product description

Intended use

The Nedis COOL117CWT is an air cooler with a 6 L water tank capacity.

The product is not intended for professional use.

This product can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the product in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the product. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be done by children without supervision.

Any modification of the product may have consequences for safety, warranty and proper functioning.

  • Do not use the product if a part is damaged or defective. Replace a damaged or defective product immediately.
  • Do not drop the product and avoid bumping.
  • This product may only be serviced by a qualified technician for maintenance to reduce the risk of electric shock.
  • Disconnect the product from the power source before service and when replacing parts.
  • Disconnect the product from the power source before removing the fan guard.

Product in which protection against electric shock does not rely on basic insulation only, but in which additional safety precautions such as double insulation or reinforced insulation are provided, there being no provision for protective earthing or reliance upon installation conditions. NOTE A Class II products may be provided with means for maintaining the continuity of protective circuits, provided that such means are within the product and are insulated from accessible surfaces according to the requirements of Class II.

Installation

  • Check the contents of the package
  • Check that all parts are present and that no damage is visible on the parts. If parts are missing or damaged, contact the Nedis B.V. service desk via the website: www.nedis.com.

1. For optimal performance, place the product on a location that complies with the following:

  • Flat and stable surface.
  • 50 – 60 cm free space around the product.

2. Close open doors and windows.

  • If you notice that the humidity level reaches 60% or above, ventilate the room for optimal performance.

3. Plug the power cable A13 into a power outlet.

Filling the water tank
  • Do not fill the water tank above the “max” indicator.
  • Do not use the product if the water level is below the “min” indicator.

1. Open the water tank lock  A11.

2. Slide out the water tank  A13  and fill it with clean tap water up to the “ max ” indicator.

3. Slide  A12  back into the product.

4. Close  A13.

Using ice packs

The use of ice packs A14 is optional.

Fill A14 with water until the water level is at the “ max ” indicator.

Add A14 to A12 if tap water does not provide enough cooling.

Make sure the water level is between “ min ” and “ max ” after adding A14.

Use

Using the product

1. Press A3 to switch on the fan.

2. Press A5 to set the fan speed.

  • A15 indicates the current fan speed.

3. Press A3 to switch off the fan.

Using the cooling function
  • Press A7 to activate or deactivate the cooling function.
  • A15 lights up when the function is active.
  • For optimal performance, switch off the cooling function 15 minutes before switching off the fan.
Setting air flow direction
  • Press A4 to automatically swing the air flow from left to right.
  • A15  lights up when the function is active.
  • Use A1 to set the vertical air flow direction.
Using the timer
  • Press A6 to set the timer.
  • Press again to increase the timer up to 12 hours.
  • The product switches off after the set time has passed.
  • A15 shows the selected time.
Using the ionizer
  • Press A8 to switch on the ionizer.
  • A16 lights up when the function is active.

Maintenance

  •  Clean the product regularly with a soft, clean, dry cloth. Avoid abrasives that can damage the surface.
  • Do not use aggressive chemical cleaning agents such as ammonia, acid or acetone when cleaning the product.
  • Do not clean the inside of the product.
Maintaining the filter
  • Clean the honeycomb filter A10 every two months.
  • Let A10 completely dry before storage to prevent molding.
  • Replace A10 once a year or when the airflow is decreasing.
  • To buy new filters, see www.nedis.com, or contact the Nedis B.V. service desk.

To clean A10:

1. Remove A9 and A10.

2. Wash A10 with water and soap.

3. Rinse A10 with clean water.

4. Let A10 dry.

5. Place back A10 and A9.

Cleaning the water tank

Refresh the water in A12 every week.

Clean A12 when storing the product for a long period of time.

To clean A12:

1. Open A11.

2. Empty A12 above a sink.

3. Clean A12.

4. Place back A12.

5. Close A11.

 Any changes and/or modifications to the product will void the warranty. We accept no liability for damage caused by improper use of the product.
