Notice: Do not smoke inside the cab or expose the enclosure to direct flames. Cab is Flammable.
Be sure to read these instructions thoroughly before opening and installing. The installation is best done when the temperature is 70 degrees F. or warmer. The temperature affects the adhesive Velcro, if conditions prevent installing in warmer weather it helps to store the adhesive Velcro at room temperature prior to installation.

  1. Carefully open the carton and remove the enclosure on a large flat surface that is clean and free of dirt.

  2. Check over the parts included in the carton with the parts list shown below:FALCON RIDGE JD-550S4-FC04 John Deere Gator XUV 550 S4 Full Cab with Aero-Vent Lexan Windshield-fig2
If any parts are damaged or missing please contact customer service at 606-845-7439.

  3. Begin by installing the front doors. If possible, have someone else hold the door in place and mark the location of each Velcro strip sewn along the edge of the door. Now take the supplied 6” adhesive Velcro strips and wrap them around the roll cage at the marked locations. Now put the door back onto the vehicle and wrap the double-sided Velcro around the adhesive Velcro as shown in the photos below.FALCON RIDGE JD-550S4-FC04 John Deere Gator XUV 550 S4 Full Cab with Aero-Vent Lexan Windshield-fig3

  4. Once the door in place it’s time to install the snaps along the front and rear edges of the bottom of the door. Pull the door to where the snap should be and mark the location, and then screw the snap into the plastic with a #2 Phillips screwdriver. Be sure not to over tighten the snaps as this may strip out the plastic. INSTALL TIP: Try putting the screw snap into the snap socket on the cab and then pull the cab to the desired location and push on the snap to mark the location before installing snap into plastic. Photos on the next page show where to install snaps:FALCON RIDGE JD-550S4-FC04 John Deere Gator XUV 550 S4 Full Cab with Aero-Vent Lexan Windshield-fig4

  5. Now that the front door is in place move on to the rear doors. This time start by snapping the rear door to the front door first. This will place the rear door where it needs to be. Now hold the door up to the frame and mark the locations for the 6” adhesive strips as you did on the front door. The photo below shows how the doors should snap together:

  6. Once the rear door is secured install the snaps at the bottom rear of the door. Install using the same method described for the front door. See photo below:

  7. Next install the rear window. Take the two 14” adhesive Velcro strips and place them on the horizontal bar that connects the two sides of the roll cage. Be sure to place them on the permanent bar, not the bar that folds down on the back seat. Place one on each side of the brake light facing towards the front of the vehicle and slightly upwards. The photo below shows proper placement:FALCON RIDGE JD-550S4-FC04 John Deere Gator XUV 550 S4 Full Cab with Aero-Vent Lexan Windshield-fig7

  8. After placing the Velcro on the roll cage, attach the rear window. Across the top of the rear window is a cutout for the brake light, line this cutout up with the brake light and attach the rear window to the adhesive Velcro.

  9. Next step is to attach the sides of the rear window to the rear doors. Sewn to the rear window are straps with buckles and sewn to the rear doors are loops. Take the strap on the rear window and run it through the loop on the rear doors. Then take the strap back through the buckle and pull tight. Do not over tighten to the point that the rear window is pulled more to one side than the other; you may have to adjust them until the rear window is centered correctly. See photo below:

  10. After installing rear window it’s time to install the Lexan Windshield. Please refer to the Windshield instructions and return to this after that is complete. NOTE: DO NOT INSTALL THE TOP BRACE OF THE WINDSHIELD YET. THIS IS THE LAST STEP.

  11.  Once the Lexan Windshield is in place it’s now time to install the roof panel. Included in your package are two sets of webbing straps. One set has grommet holes in one end and these are used for the front of the top. The other set has double-sided Velcro sewn to one end and is used for the rear of the top.

  12. Place the top over the roll cage and roughly position it in place. Begin by snapping the middle to the side doors as shown in the photos below.FALCON RIDGE JD-550S4-FC04 John Deere Gator XUV 550 S4 Full Cab with Aero-Vent Lexan Windshield-fig10

  13. This places the top where it needs to be so that you can attach the front and rear. Start in the front and take the webbing straps with the grommet holes and attach it to the middle bolt of the windshield clamps. See photo below for reference:FALCON RIDGE JD-550S4-FC04 John Deere Gator XUV 550 S4 Full Cab with Aero-Vent Lexan Windshield-fig11

  14. Now take the strap and run it through the buckle sewn to the corner of the top. Do not pull tight until all straps have been attached.

  15. Once the front straps have been attached to the windshield move to the rear of the vehicle and attach the webbing straps with double-sided Velcro to the rear bar between the rear door and the rear window. First wrap the bar with the adhesive Velcro and then wrap with the double-sided as you did with the front and rear doors. See photo below:

  16.  Once all straps have been attached to the buckles pull them tight. You may need to loosen and tighten as you go to ensure that to top is centered. If waves appear across the top diagonally this is usually a good sign that one corner has been pulled tighter than another.

  17. Lastly, after the top has been pulled tight install the top brace. Take a small knife and poke an x through the fabric where each hole is located. Now install as shown in the windshield instructions. See photo below:FALCON RIDGE JD-550S4-FC04 John Deere Gator XUV 550 S4 Full Cab with Aero-Vent Lexan Windshield-fig13

Cleaning and Storage Recommendations:

  1. Before removing the Cab for storage, make sure it is very clean in order to prevent scratching of the window panels. Clean with a soft rag or sponge using a mild liquid detergent soap and warm water solution. Never rub the windows with a dry cloth or rag! Let the Cab dry thoroughly before attempting to roll for storage.
  2. It is important that the Cab be rolled up for storage rather than folding. Folding will cause damage to the windows!!! Carefully roll up the Cab similar to the way it was when it was packed at the factory. On a large, clean and flat surface, fold the doors over the rear panel first, then, interleave the top and windshield on top of the doors. Begin rolling the Cab into a roll approximately 8 inches in diameter. Put the rolled Cab back into the carton for storage at a normal room temperature. It is best not to expose the Cab to either extreme hot or cold temperatures when storing.
  3. A special cleaner conditioner is available from Falcon Ridge that will greatly increase the service life of the Cab Enclosure. In addition, if additional hook and loop sets are needed, they can also be ordered.
    Thank you for your purchase!
