HYUNDAI RAC 281 PLL Clock Radio

  • LIGHTNING FLASH WITH ARROWHEAD SYMBOL – within an equilateral triangle, is intended to alert the user to the presence of uninsulated dangerous voltage within the products enclosure that may be of sufficient magnitude
    to constitude a risk of electric shock to persons.

  • EXCLAMATION POINT – within an equilateral triangle, is used to indicate that a specific component shall be replaced only by the component specified in that documentation for safety reason.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  1. READ INSTRUCTIONS – All the safety and operating instructions should be read before the appliance is operated.

  2. RETAIN INSTRUCTIONS – The safety and operating instruction should be retained
    for future reference.

  3. HEED WARNINGS – All warnings on the appliance and in the operating instructions should be adhered to.

  4. FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS – All operating instructions should be followed.

  5. WATER AND MOISTURE – The appliance should not be used near water, for example, near a bathtub, washbowl, kitchen sink, laundry tub, swimming pool or in a wet basement.

  6. VENTILATION – The appliance should be situated so that its location or position does not interfere with its proper ventilation. Do not place on bed, sofa, rug or similar surface that may block the ventilation openings, in a built–in installation, such as a bookcase or cabinet that may impede the flow of air through the ventilation openings.

  7. HEAT – The appliance should be situated away from heat sources such as radiators, stoves, or other appliances (including amplifiers) that produce heat.

  8. POWER SOURCE – The appliance should be connected to power supply only of the type described in the operating instructions or as marked on the appliance.

  9. POWER CORD PROTECTION – Power supply cords should be routed so that they are not likely to be walked on or pinched by items placed upon or against them.

  10. POWER LINES – An outdoor antenna should be located away from power lines.

  11. OBJECT and LIQUID ENTRY – Care should be taken so that objects do not fall and liquids are not spilled into the enclosure through openings.

  12. ESD WARNING – The display does not function properly or no reaction to operation of any the control may due to the electrostatic discharge.
    Switch off and unplug the set. Reconnect after a few seconds.

  13. DAMAGE REQUIRING SERVICE – The appliance should be serviced by qualified service personnel when:

    • The power-supply cord or plug has been damaged.
    • Objects have fallen into, or liquid has been spilled into the appliance enclosure.
    • The appliance has been exposed to rain.‘
    • The appliance has been dropped, or the enclosure damaged.
    • The appliance does not appear to operate normally.
  14. SERVICING – The user should not attempt to service the appliance beyond that described in the user operating instructions. All other servicing should be referred to qualified service personnel.

Notes: If an error display or malfunction occurs, disconnect the AC cord and remove all the batteries. Then turn the power back on.

FUNCTION KEY

  • AL1: Press for checking Alarm1 status then press & hold for Alarm1 setting Press & Hold for Alarm1 ON/OFF
  • AL2: Press for checking Alarm2 status then press & hold for Alarm2 setting Press & Hold for Alarm2 ON/OFF
  • MODE: Press once for Radio ON Press & Hold for Radio OFF For Alarm Off (Alarm Mode)
  • SCAN -: (Radio) Press once Radio frequency down, Press & hold for radio station searching
  • SCAN +: (Radio) Press once for Radio frequency up, Press & hold for radio station searching
  • SET: (Clock) Press & Hold For clock setting
  • MEMO: (Radio) For setting the preset radio station
  • SLEEP: Press for sleep timer setup (90>60>30>15>0)
  • VOL +/-: Volume level UP/DOWN
  • SNOOZE: Snooze function when in alarm mode (Each press for repeating alarm every 9 minutes, last for 1 hour)
  • LIGHT: Light function when in normal situation (Press once for LCD backlight ON for 60 seconds) (Press & hold for LCD backlight always ON, then press & hold again for return to normal situation)

CLOCK OPERATION

Time Setting
  • Press MODE until you enter the Clock Display Mode (or it will be in Clock Display Mode when you first connect with Electricity).
  • Press & hold the SET button to enter Time Setting Mode.
  • Press SCAN-/SCAN+ to set the desire time, press the SET button to confirm and for next setting. Clock Setting sequence: 12/24 Hour > Hour > Minute > Year > Month > Day
Alarm Time Setting
  • In Clock Display Mode.
  • Press AL1/AL2 button for checking alarm status.
  • Then press & hold AL1/AL2 to enter alarm clock setting mode. Press SCAN+/SCAN- to select the desire time, then press AL1/AL2 to confirm and for next setting. The sequence: Hour > Minute > Weekday/Weekday/Everyday alarm setting > Sound sources (Radio or Buzzer) > preset radio station number (Radio only). (Remark: Radio preset station must be set before using the “wake up by Radio” function. Otherwise, alarm will only wake up to the default station at FM 87.5 MHz.)
  • Alarm last for 1 hour.
  • Alarm only available to stop by pressing MODE button.
  • Alarm restart every 9 minutes after each press of SNOOZE.
RADIO OPERATION
  • Press MODE button to enter Radio Mode

    • default at FM87.5 when first use
    • Last radio frequency memory
  • Press SCAN-/SCAN+ once for radio frequency selection.
    Press & hold for auto radio station searching.

  • Once the radio station been selected. Press & hold MEMO button to enter the Preset Radio Station Mode. Then press SCAN-/SCAN+ to select the desire preset station number. Then press MEMO again to confirm.

  • Repeat the above procedures to store more radio stations (maximum 10 preset radio stations).

Listening to the radio by preset station

  • In Radio Mode, press the M+ button to select the desired preset radio station. Then press M+ button again for the next preset station. Total 10 radio preset station available, keep press the M+ button for the preset radio station cycle.
SNOOZE/LIGHT FUNCTION
  • During the wakeup time, press the SNOOZE/LIGHT button once to temporarily turn off the alarm. After approximately 9 minutes the alarm will sound again. The cycle will repeat when the SNOOZE / LIGHT button is pressed again. Alarm max last for 1 hour

Note:
When in Clock Mode:

  • Press the SNOOZE/LIGHT button, the panel backlight and projection clock will turn on, and will turn off automatically after 60 seconds.
  • Press and hold SNOOZE/LIGHT for backlight and projection clock always ON, then press and hold again for back to normal.

When in Radio Mode:

  • LCD Backlight already ON. Press once for turning on projection clock then it will turn off automatically after 60 seconds.
  • LCD Backlight already ON. Press and hold SNOOZE/LIGHT for projection clock always ON, then press and hold again for back to normal.

Volume Setting:

  • Press VOL+ or VOL- to set the sound volume up or down.

Sleep Setting:

  • When in Radio mode, press the SLEEP button to turn on the sleep timer. Press the SLEEP button again to set the desire sleep time. Timer sequence:
    90> 80>70>60>50>40>30>20>10>OFF>

Projector Rotate & Focus (At the back of projector):

  • Rotate: Scroll for setting the best projection clock viewing angle.
  • Focus: Scroll for setting the best projection clock image.
