A4 supporting laths
A5 side rack
A6 handles
A7 supply cord
B stone grill plate

PREPARATION FOR USE

Remove all packaging material and remove the grill with accessories. Remove all adhesive foils, stickers or paper from the grill. When using the grill for the first time, put the pans with a little oil in them (without food) on the side rack A5 and place the stone plate B (without the food) on the supporting laths. Set the regulator A1 to MAX and let the grill run with an open window for approx. 15 minutes then turn it off and let it cool off. Short, moderate smoking is not a fault. After the appliance has cooled off, clean all its parts which will come in contact with the ingredients (see paragraph V. MAINTENANCE). Assembling the grill (pic. 1) Place the stone plate B on the grill so that the grooves in the stone fit on the supporting laths A4 (i.e. polished side up).

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Place the grill on a solid flat and dry surface (e.g. kitchen table) at least 85 cm from the ground and out of reach of children. Plug the fork of the supply cord A7 in an electric socket. Set the A1 regulator in a clockwise direction in position MAX. The indicator light A2 will light up. Let the grill pre-heat for approx. 20 minutes without the pans inserted. Reaching of the working temperature is signalized by the indicator light turning off. Place the ingredients on plate B. Turn the appliance off several minutes before finishing grilling by turning the regulator A1 to position 0 because the stone plate is hot enough to finish grilling the ingredients.
Note It will take 5 to 10 minutes for the stone plate to reach the set temperature when changing temperature with the regulator A1 during grilling.

Important precautions

– Do not touch the stone plate B during grilling because it is HOT! Pay special attention to avoiding children touching the plate! Use handles A6 for carrying.
– Never put alum foil or anything else underneath the stone plate or between the heating body and side rack.
– Never put a cold stone plate on a hot heating body.
– Never put frozen or heavy ingredients on the stone plate.
– Never let the stone plate come in contact with acetose ingredients (e.g. vinegar products, mustard, pickles, pickled vegetables etc.).
– Do not leave the grill running empty for more than 30 minutes.
– The stone will turn irremovable dark colour after several uses. Small cracks which occur due to the expansion of the stone are natural. This has no impact on the function of the appliance and can not be a reason for refund.
– Never wash the stone plate in a dishwasher. Do not clean the stone with a high-pressure water jet or any similar device.
– Pets and domestic animals (e.g. exotic birds) might react sensitively to smells, steam and smoke occurring during the food preparation. We, therefore, recommend preparing the food in another room
All the preparation times recommended in the literature (cookbooks) suppose that the meat has a temperature in the refrigerator. Preparation of frozen meat may take substantially longer.
Consider these following tips for processing examples and inspiration whose purpose is not to provide a manual but to show ways of different food processing. The preparation (processing) times of food are only approximate and are within minutes. The time of preparation will change according to the temperature of the grill, of ambience and type of ingredient. Watch the ingredients closely during preparation and adjust the time according to your needs. You can bake the ingredients more thoroughly by turning them frequently. We recommend greasing the plate with vegetable oil or spraying it with a special spray against burning ingredients before grilling vegetables, fish or lean meat. In the case of preparing meat with high content of fat or marinated ingredients, it is not necessary to treat the plate. Use only fresh ingredients (not frozen). Remove tendons and fat from the meat. Remove bones from fish. Cut the ingredients which you wish to grill to thin small slices. Do not cut the ingredients on the stone plate! If you are going to prepare various ingredients in a succession (e.g. meat, fish, fruit), we recommend cleaning the food residues from the stone plate with a wooden slice or spatula between individual courses. Do not clean the hot plate with water!

This table shows approximate times of grilling:

Pans (C)
They are intended for the preparation/heating up of other side dishes during the preparation of the meat. Place a slice/piece of cheese into the pans (e.g. Adam, camembert etc.) and place the pans on the side rack A5. The cheese melts nicely in approx. 5 minutes. You may also prepare eggs in the pans (e.g. fried egg). Do not leave empty pans on the side rack.

MAINTENANCE

Unplug the appliance from the electric outlet before each maintenance! Clean the grill only after it has cooled off!
Carry out the cleaning after each use by wiping it with a soft damp cloth! Do not use rough or abrasive cleaning agents (e.g. sharp objects, caustic agents for cleaning ovens etc.)! Remove all traces of fat and food residues from the grill which have stuck to plate B with the slice D supplied. Clean the stone plate B under slow-running water and wipe dry. Wash the pans C and slices D in hot water with soap and wipe dry (you can use the dishwasher). It is normal that the surface colour changes with time. This change does not, however, change the surface quality in any way and is no reason to take this appliance back!
Storing
Make sure that the stone plate is cold before storing. Do not stock the pans and store them on the side rack under the heating body. Store the grill on a safe and dry place, out of reach of children.
