  • The appliance is equipped with the heat safety lock which disconnects power supply if the steam sensor fails, if water boils away or if an empty kettle is turned on. If it happens, unplug the appliance from power supply and let it cool down. Do not fill the kettle with cold water in order to cool it down quickly. It could reduce life of the heating element.

III. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Before the first use, fill the electric kettle with clean water to the maximum level, turn it on and let the water boil. Then pour out the water and repeat the procedure several times (at least five times).

APPLICATIONS

Unwind the necessary length of the power cord B2 from the storage space of the stand B. Place the stand on a suitable surface, in the height of about 85 cm, out of reach of children and incapacitated persons and plug the fork of the power cord to the electric socket. Hold the kettle A on the handle A3. Open the lid A4 by pressing the lock button A5. Fill the kettle with drinking water. Minimum and maximum water level is indicated on the water level scale inside the electric kettle. Close the lid by snapping. Put the electric kettle on the stand (sound signal will be given, signal lamps over A1 and A2 will flash once, and water temperature will be displayed on A6). Required temperature can be set by short pressing A2. Start the boiling process by short pressing of button A1 ( signal lamp will light up on display A6, over the ” ” sign). Then wait until the heating process is completed (sound signal). Standard heating to the preset temperature and maintaining temperature (KEEP WARM) functions can be switched over by long pressing A2. During the heating phase, preset temperature can be changed by pressing A2. The heating phase can be interrupted by short pressing A1. After approx. 20 minutes of inactivity, the kettle will be switched off automatically.

• 40 °C = infant formula milk,
• 50 °C = baby foods,
• 60 °C = hot beverages,
• 70 °C = green tea,
• 80 °C = white teas,
• 90 °C = oolong teas, coffee, instant drinks, soups,
• 100 °C = black, herbal teas.

Note
If you are going to heat up water to a low temperature (40-70 °C), it is advisable to have at least 0.7 litre of water in the kettle to reach the preset temperature more accurately. In the case of a lower volume, the actual temperature may exceed the preset temperature.

Always use fresh drinking water for boiling. The temperature and time heating depends on the amount of water and the initial temperature of water. For the correct temperature setting, follow the manufacturers` instructions that are described on food packages (e.g. tea, coffee, instant drinks, soaps, etc.).

Temperature maintenance feature
When in stand-by mode, press and hold A1. Green signal lamp will start flashing on display A6, over the ” ” sign. Then continue by setting the required temperature. After preset temperature has been reached, sound signal will be given and the maintaining temperature function will be activated automatically (signal lamp over the ” ” sign will light continuously). This function will remain active for approx. 2 hours, then the device will be switched off automatically. This function can also be deactivated by pressing A1.

Memory (for Keep Warm function)
The electric kettle is equipped with memory function. It can be used if the kettle has been switched on and the Keep Warm function active. If the kettle will be removed from its base in the Keep Warm mode, and then put on it again, it will continue keeping the temperature. Press A1 to switch off the kettle and disable the memory.

Notes

  • If the kettle is not on the base plate, the electronic operation system is not active.
  • If the heating temperature is lower than current water temperature in the kettle, the kettle will be switched on and waiting until the temperature drops to the set value (sound signal will be given).
  • If you are preparing food for very young children (e.g. to 40 °C), the water must be heated to a boil (100 °C) first.
  • When heating water, the lid must be closed, otherwise the kettle will not turn OFF.
  • In bigger tilting of the electric kettle backwards, particularly when it is filled up to maximum, water can flow out from the electric kettle in the bottom part of the kettle. This does not affect safety or other functions and it does not mean any failure of the electric kettle. In the case of tilting the electric kettle with hot water there is a risk of scalding. Therefore do not tilt the electric kettle.
  • During heating, current temperature will be displayed until the set temperature value is reached. Then preset temperature will be displayed. The temperature sensor is located at the bottom of the kettle, consequently, the temperature will be displayed with a small tolerance, due to temperature difference in the bottom and upper part of the kettle.

IV. MAINTENANCE

Unplug the appliance from power supply by taking the fork of the power cord out of the socket! Clean the kettle only when it is cooled down! Do not use rough and aggressive detergents (e.g. sharp objects, scrapers, diluting agents or other solvents)! The housing of the kettle is made of high-quality plastic, the heating bottom and inner surface of the kettle are made of high-quality stainless steel, however, a slight sediment (scale) during standard use /particularly, above the heating element/ cannot be avoided. It is not rust or another material defect of the kettle container and the appliance is not subject to a complaint for this reason.

Cleaning the kettle
Pour about 50 g citric acid to the kettle with the water scale sediment. Fill the kettle to about one half and mix. After it dissolves, fill the kettle to 3/4 of the maximum amount of water. Place the electric kettle on the stand and turn it on. Before boiling, turn off the kettle, let the solution take effect for about 10 minutes and then pour it out. Clean the kettle thoroughly with clean water. Repeat the whole procedure if the kettle is too soiled. Clean the electric kettle regularly!

Expert service must do the large maintenance or to intervene into inside parts of the appliance! Non-observance of the instructions of the manufacturer cancels the right for guarantee repair!

If you are unable to fix the problem, or if you need any further information about the appliance or service centres, please contact your distributor.
