INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Dear customer, thank you for buying our product. Before putting the appliance
into operation, read carefully these instructions for use and store properly
this manual together with the certificate of warranty, a cash voucher and
possibly with the package and the internal contents of the package.
SAFETY WARNINGS

Before the first use, read the instructions for use carefully, look at the picture and keep the instructions for future use. Consider the instructions for use as a part of the appliance and pass them on to any other user of the appliance.

Check whether the data on the type label correspond with the voltage in your socket.
-
The power cord plug has to be connected to a properly connected and grounded socket according to the EU standard.
-
Do not insert or take the plug out of a socket with wet hands and do not pull the power cord!
-
Never use the appliance if the power cord or power plug are damaged, if it is not functioning correctly or if it has fallen on the floor and been damaged or if it has fallen into water. In such cases take the appliance to a professional service centre to verify its safety and correct function.

This product can be used by children at the age of 8 years and older if they are supervised or if they were instructed regarding use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand possible risks. Children must not play with the appliance. User cleaning and maintenance must not be performed by children if they are younger than 8 year and unsupervised. Children younger than 8 years must be kept out of reach of the appliance and its power cord.

The device may be used by persons with reduced physical or mental abilities or lack of experience and knowledge only if they are under supervision or they have been instructed about using the appliance safely and understand the potential dangers. Children must play with the appliance.

If the power cord of this appliance is damaged, the cord must be replaced by the manufacturer, their service technician or by a similarly qualifi ed person, this will prevent the creation of a dangerous situation.

Always unplug the appliance from power supply if you leave it unattended and before assembly, disassembly or cleaning.

Before replacing accessories or accessible parts, which move during operation, before assembly and disassembly, before cleaning or maintenance, turn off the appliance and disconnect it from the mains by pulling the power cord from the power socket!

The product is intended for home use and similar (in shops, offices and similar workplaces, in hotels, motels and other residential environments, in facilities providing accommodation with breakfast). It is not intended for commercial use!

This appliance is not intended for outdoor use.

Do not use the appliance for heating a room!

Do not use the appliance with a program, time switch or any other part that turns the appliance on automatically as there is a risk of fire if the appliance is not covered or placed properly.

Never immerse the appliance into water or wash it in running water, except for the parts mentioned in the Maintenance chapter.

We recommend not leaving the appliance in operation without supervision and checking it during the whole time of food preparation!

Let the appliance cool down before maintenance or storing it.
-
It is not allowed to modify the surface of the appliance in any way (e.g. using a selfadhesive wallpaper, foils, etc.)!
-
After finishing work, always switch off the appliance and disconnect it from power supply by taking the power cord connector out of the electric socket.
-
Do not switch on the steam pot without insufficient amount of water in the water container.
-
Do not use the steam pot without the drip tray; hot water could splash from the appliance.
-
Never pour water in the container that was made by defrosting a freezer, water from a clothes dryer, condensed water, some kinds of mineral water, water with added spices, alcohol etc.
-
The appliance is equipped with the heat safety lock, which disconnects power supply if the steam sensor fails, or if an empty pot is turned on. If it happens, unplug the appliance from power supply and let it cool down. Do not fill the pot with cold water in order to cool it down quickly. It could reduce life of the heating element.

Never put the appliance close to objects or under objects that can be damaged by steam, e.g. walls, kitchen cabinets, cupboards, paintings or curtains. Leaking steam could damage them.

Do not use the appliance in the environment that is saturated with explosive or flammable steams.
-
Do not place the appliance on unstable, fragile and flammable surfaces (e.g. glass, paper and plastic, varnished wooden plates and various fabrics/table cloths).

Use the appliance in the working position only at places with no risk of its turning over and in sufficient distance from heat sources (e. g. heater, electric/gas stove, cooker, etc.) and wet surfaces (e. g. sinks, wash basins, etc.)

When cooking, do not touch places where hot steam is coming out; there is a risk of burning and scalding.
-
When handling the cooking bowls and the lid, use the protective kitchen gloves or a towel.
-
Be careful when lifting the lid and always remove the lid away from your body.

Always use kitchen utensils for mixing and taking food out
-
Do not let any objects on the lid of the pot during operation (e.g. protective gloves, towels) that could cause covering the holes for steam outlet.
-
Do not carry the appliance when it is hot; there is a risk of getting burned and scalded in the case of possible tilting. Use carry for carrying the appliance!
-
For maintenance or repairs, disassemble only those parts of the electric pot that are mentioned in these instructions for use. Never disassemble the appliance or its parts and do not replace them with other ones.

Use the pot only with the power cord that makes up its part! If the power cord is damaged, never replace it with a power cord that is not of the same type.

The appliance is portable and it is equipped with a movable connector with a plug, which ensures double-pole disconnection from power supply.

The power cord must not be damaged with sharp or hot objects, open fire and it must not be sunk into water.
-
Never put the power cord on hot surfaces or do not let it hang over the edge of a table or a work top. Plugging or pulling the power cord e.g. by children can result in tilting over or drawing the appliance down and serious injury!

Check the condition of the power cord of the appliance regularly.
-
If you need to use an extension cord, it has to be uncorrupted and it has to comply with the valid standards.

Use the appliance only with original accessories from the producer.
-
Use the appliance only for the purpose it is intended for as specified in this manual.
Never use the appliance for any other purpose. -
The manufacturer is not responsible for damage caused by improper use of the appliance and the accessories (e.g. food deterioration, injury, burning, scalding, fire) and its guarantee for the appliance does not apply in situations when the safety warnings above are not complied with.

PREPARATION AND USE
Remove all the packing material, take out the steam pot and all the accessories. Place the pot on flat and dry surface (e. g. kitchen table) in the height of at least 85 cm, out of reach of children. (see par. I. SAFETY WARNINGS ). Before the first use, wash the parts that will be in contact with food in hot water with a detergent, rinse thoroughly with clean water, wipe till dry or let it dry. Fill in the container with about 0.5 L clean water and assemble all parts of the steam pot. Set the timer to 10 minutes while steam is created. After lapse of the time, let the pot cool down and then pour the remaining water from the pot. Now the appliance is ready for use. Possible short-time mild smoke when the appliance is operated for the first time is not a defect and the appliance is not subject to a complaint for this reason.
- Time switch A2: enables setting the preparation time of the maximum length of 30 minutes. After lapse of the set time, the sound signal will go off and heating will stop.
- Control light A3: signals operation of the appliance.
- Water gauge A4: displays the current amount of water in the container. The minimum amount of water will enable creation of steam for about 10 minutes. The maximum amount of water will enable creation of steam for about 30 minutes.
- Drip tray A8: prevents condensation of water and food liquids and dripping back to the container. So the water in the container for steam creation always remains clean.
- Cooking bowls B: they are numbered for easier reference. Place bowl 1 as the first one on the base and place bowl 3 as the last one.
- Cooking bowl 3: have 5 moulded holes inside for easy positioning of eggs while cooking. Pierce eggs before cooking.
- Rice/soup tray C: you can also use for cooking food in liquid (e.g. vegetables in a sauce or fish in water). Put rice and water inside the bowl (two parts of water per one part of rice). Put the rice tray into cooking bowl
Assembly of pot for cooking (Fig. 1)
Hold the lid D by the handle D1 and put it aside. Fill in the
container with clean drinking water as needed for cooking the food (the
minimum and the maximum amount is marked on water gauge A4). Put drip tray A8
into steam pot A. Then put the assembled and filled in cooking bowls onto
the steam pot in the respective order (i.e. 1, 2, 3). Now place lid D on
the upper bowl Leave free space for due ventilation. Vents in the appliance
ensure steam circulation during cooking and they must not be covered or
blocked in another way. Make sure that the power cord is not damaged and that
it does not lead through any sharp or hot surfaces. Connect the plug of power
cord to power supply. The electric socket must be easily accessible so that
the appliance can be easily disconnected from power supply if danger appears.
Set the time necessary for preparation of food by time switch A2. When
control light A3 is on, it signals that the appliance is in operation.
After lapse of the set time, a sound signal will go off, the control light
turns off and the food or the specialty can be taken out of the bowls. You can
terminate the set preparation time at any time by turning the time switch to
the OFF position.
The timer setting
Desired cooking time is adjusted by turning cooking timer A2 clockwise. If you
set the timer in the range of 0-30 min, Turn the timer knob only between
positions OFF and 30. Trying to turn the timer knob by force could cause its
failure.
RECOMMENDATIONS
-
You can use one, two or all the three cooking bowls for cooking food.
-
When using only one steaming bowl, food is steamed for shorter time than in use of 2 or 3 steaming bowls.

Food in bowl 1 is cooked more quickly than food in bowls 2 and 3 that are located higher.
If you use more than one bowl, cook the food in bowl 2 and 3 for 5 to 10 minutes longer. -
If the time necessary for cooking food in individual bowls is different, start cooking food with the longer time of cooking in bowl 1 and then add bowl 2 or bowl 3 during cooking and complete the cooking cycle.

Food with large volume is made in bowl 1, or place it closer to the bowl wall; on the other hand, the smallest food is put in bowl 3 and closer to the bowl centre.

Do not fill in a bowl to more than three fifths when preparing food that expands during cooking.
-
Do not fill in the space in the bowl with a large amount of food; leave sufficient space for the maximum steam passage.
-
Liquids trapped in the drip tray can then be used for preparing soups, broths, sauces etc.
-
Cook meat, fish and seafood thoroughly. Always defrost them before cooking.
-
If you cook in all the three bowls at the same time, put meat, poultry, fish into the lower bowl and vegetables into the upper bowls so that the juice from raw or insufficiently cooked meat and poultry does not drip on the other food.

The dripping condensed steam from the upper bowl can affect the taste of food in the lower bowl. Make sure that tastes of food in various steaming bowls go together well.

During the whole time there is steam going out from the hole in the lid, which is accompanied with characteristic hissing. This is normal and the appliance cannot be subject to a complaint for this reason.
-
If you need to remove the lid for any reason during cooking (e.g. add food/add spices/ mix food), always use the handle and suitable protective aids (e.g. a towel, protective gloves).

Always flavour cooked food when the cooking is over. If spices, herbs or flavouring agents get into water, they could harm the heating element.
-
If you find out during cooking that there is insufficient amount of water in the container, you can add water easily using a suitable container through filling hole A6.

If you cook two meals one after another, empty the drip tray and add water to the container.
-
If you lift the lid more times, steams will go out and cooking will last longer.
-
Check sufficient heat processing of the food before consumption. If food is undercooked, set the cooking time again. At the same time, check and add sufficient amount of water into the container.
ATTENTION
– If the lid is not properly placed on the bowl or if it is missing, food will
not be steamed properly.
– Some hot water may stay on the inner area of the lid, the bowl and the drip
tray!
Hot water will also stay in the container although the other parts have cooled
down already. Make sure you do not get injured (scalded and burned). Use
suitable protective aids (e.g. cloth, protective gloves).
Advice for cooking in a steaming pot
Please consider the following tips for preparing food as examples and
inspiration, the purpose of which is not to provide instructions, but to show
various possibilities of preparing food. The preparation (processing) times
depend on the amount, the kind and the quality of used ingredients, but as a
standard they are in minutes to tens of minutes. Choose the amount of the
processed food so that the maximum volume of the bowls is not exceeded. Keep
the prescribed times mentioned in the recipes. But always pour in sufficient
amount of water; failure to do so may result in overheating of the steam pot
before completing cooking without water. After some time of using the pot you
will be using your own times gained by experience and practical cooking.
RICE AND CEREALS

There are many types of rice. Follow the instructions for the respective type.

Measure rice and water exactly and then mix them in the bowl. Put the lid on and switch on steam creation.

For softer rice, add 1 to 2 tablespoons of water to the amount marked in the table.
For harder rice, remove 1 or 2 tablespoons of water. -
Check the rice texture when the minimum time for preparation of the respective type of rice lapses. Also mix the rice.

You can add salt, pepper or butter only after steaming.

VEGETABLES
– Clean vegetables properly, cut off stalks, remove skin, peel or cut. Small
pieces are prepared more quickly than bigger ones.
– The amount, quality, freshness, size and temperature of food can affect the
time of steaming. Adapt the amount of steaming as necessary.
– Frozen vegetables should not be defrosted before preparation.
– Some frozen vegetables should be put into the rice tray and covered with a
piece of aluminium foil before cooking.
– Frozen food should be separated or mixed after 10 to 12 minutes. You can use
a long fork/spoon for that.

FISH AND SEAFOOD
– The time of cooking given in the table applies to fresh or frozen and for
fully defrosted seafood and fish.
– Clean and prepare seafood and fish before cooking.
– Most kinds of fish and seafood are cooked very quickly. Prepare in small
portions or amounts as specified.
– Clams, oysters and mussels can be opened after different times. Check them
to avoid overcooking.
– Fish fillet can be prepared in the rice tray and fish and seafood can be
served either without seasoning or with addition of herb butter, margarine,
lemons or sauce.
– Adapt the preparation times as necessary.

EGGS
These are useful instructions for preparing eggs in the steam pot. It can be
used for preparing soft-boiled eggs, poached eggs and scrambled eggs.
COOKING EGGS IN SHELL (SOFT-BOILED)
Pierce eggs with a needle or a pin in the lower or the upper part of the
shell. Then put eggs into the bowls with the pierced end up.
POACHED EGGS
Break eggs and put them into individual heat-resistant bowls with a bit of
water, then put them into the bowl for cooking.
SCRAMBLED EGGS
Mix eggs with a bit of milk or cream, then pour the mixture into the rice
tray, put it into the bowl and put the lid on. Mix once or twice during
cooking.
NOTE: Big eggs will have to be cooked for a bit longer

MAINTENANCE
Unplug the appliance from power supply by taking the connector of the power cord out of the socket before any maintenance! Clean the steam pot only after it has cooled down! Clean the appliance regularly after every use. Do not use rough and aggressive detergents (e.g. sharp objects, peelers, chemical solvents, thinning agents, caustic agents for cleaning ovens or other solvents ).! Empty the drip tray and the water container. Clean the outer surfaces with a soft and wet cloth. Wipe the water container with a kitchen sponge and dry it. Wash all the other parts (i.e. drip tray, bowls, rice tray and lid ) in hot water with a detergent, then rinse with clean water and let them dry completely (you can also use a dishwasher). Never dry plastic mouldings over a heat source (e.g. heater, electric/gas stove ). If the power cord is soiled, wipe it with a wet cloth. Some food can colour the accessories in some way. However, this does not affect the function of the appliance and it is not a reason for a claim. This colouring usually disappears after some time.
Removing scale
If the time of steam creation is significantly longer, the heating element has
to be cleaned from calcium and mineral sediments that are contained in
drinking water. The mentioned sediments can be removed using citric acid or
acetic acid. Do not use a scale-removing agent or decalcification tablets!
Pour about 50 g citric acid into the container or pour in one-third vinegar
and fill with water about 0.6 l.
Switch on the pot using the time switch and supervise it. After 10 minutes, switch off the pot and let it cool down with the liquid inside. Then pour out the liquid and rinse the water container with the heating element several times using drinking water to remove possible residues of the used detergent. Repeat the whole procedure if the pot is too soiled.
Storage
Before storage, make sure that the pot and all its parts have cooled down.
Store the pot at a safe and dry place, out of reach of children and
incapacitated people.
ENVIRONMENT
If the size of the appliance allows, all the parts contain marking of the materials used for production packaging, components and accessories as well as for recycling. The symbols on the product or in the accompanying documentation mean that the electrical or electronic product used must not be liquidated together with communal waste. To ensure the appropriate liquidation take the used appliance to a collection point where it will be accepted free of charge. Correct liquidation of the product helps to protect valuable natural resources and helps to prevent a potential negative impact on the environment and human health which can be the outcome of inappropriate liquidation of waste. More details can be obtained from your local authorities or the closest collection point. Inappropriate manipulation of such waste can result in a fine according to the national legislation.
Maintenance of a serious nature or maintenance which requires interference
with the internal parts of the appliance must be carried out by a professional
service centre!
By failing to follow the instructions issued by the manufacturer, the right
to the warranty service will be invalidated!
