OPERATION

  1. Taking up the welding helmet, the power will automatically switches on.
  2. Setting correct dark shade by turning the dark shade adjusting knob according to the welding.
  3. Push the mode selection switch K1 to Grind mode under grinding conditions.
  4. Turn knob K1 to set proper shade number according to Shade Guide Table between DIN 9-13.
  5. Turn knob K3 to adjust proper delay time between 0.2-0.8s from dark to light after welding.
  6. Put on the helmet. At this moment, you can see work pieces clearly.
  7. Start your welding work and the viewing window will turn to intended dark shade state you had set immediately. If it fails, stop welding at once and check it out. Make sure you have overcome the problem before try again.
  8. Power AUTO OFF when finish welding.

WARNING : Whenever the welding helmet is off use and/or stored, always keep the helmet with filter sensors downward. Otherwise may cause batteries used up earlier.

SENSITIVITY CONTROL

The sensitivity control is used to make the lens more responsive to different light levels exeperienced in various welding processes. We recommend a Mid- Range or 30-50% sensitivity seting for most applications.

SENSITIVITY ADJUSTING It may be necessary to adjust helmet sensitivity to accommodate different lighting conditions or if lens is flashing On and Off. Adjust helmet sensitvity as follows

  1. Turn sensitivity control to lowest setting.
  2. Face the helmet in the direction of use ,exposing it to the surrounding light conditions.
  3. Gradually turn sensitivity setting clockwise until the lens darkens ,then turn sensitivity control cOunterclockwise until slightly past setting where lens clears. Helmet is ready for use. Slight readjustment may be necessary for certain applications or if lens is flashing on and off.

REPLACING COVER LENS IF IT IS DAMAGED (cracked, scratched, soiled or pitted).

  1. Replacement of Front Cover Lens for TYPE G, TYPE N & TYPE E:
  2. Lift the front cover lens from bottom side with one finger, remove it by draw out side.
  3. First bend the new cover plate and insert one side of the plate into the cover plate security slot and then the opposite side.
  4. Press the cover plate to fit well.

Replacement of Front Cover Lens for TYPE W:

  1. Press the buttons on the two sides of helmet, and then pull the cover lens Out of it.
  2. Replace a new front coverlens, insert the two sides into the buttons of helmet.
  3. Press the cover plate to fit well

WARNING :

  • Make sure to select the Mode selection button when doing welding work. Fail to do so may cause eye protection failure and injure your eyes.
  • Make sure that the welding mode and the shade number you have selected is suitable for the welding process!

CAUTION! (Before welding)

  1. Before using, read the manual carefully and make sure you know all what it has shown.
  2. When a new auto-darkening welding helmet is used for the first time, the operator should remove the protective films on the auto-darkening filters, Otherwise, the shade level may be incorrect or fail to work.
  3. Make sure the auto-darkening welding helmet is suitable for the work yoOu intended to do and all parts and components are in proper order and ready for work.
  4. To set the dark shade state according to Shade Guide Chart, Make sure the shade number you select is correct and suitable for the job you are to do.
  5. Adjust the headgear according to your head size.

WARNING:

  • This Auto-darkening Welding Helmet is not suitable for laser welding.
  • This Auto-darkening Welding Helmet and the Auto-darkening Welding Filter shall never be placed on hot surfaces.
  • Never open or tamper with the Auto-darkening Filter.
  • This Auto-darkening welding helmet will not protect against severe impact hazards, including fragmenting grinding disks.
  • This Auto-darkening welding helmet will not protect against explosive devices or corrosive liquids. Don’t make any modifications to either the filter or helmet, other than those specified in this manual. Don’t use any replacement parts other than those specified in this manual. Unauthorized modifications and replacement parts will void the warranty and expose the user to the risk of personal injury.
  • Should the Auto-darkening welding helmets not darken upon striking an arc, stop welding immediately and contact your supervisor or your dealer.
  • Don’t immerse the ilter in water.
  • Don’t use any solvents on filters’ screen or helmet components.
  • Operation temperature: -5 ‘C-+55 C (23 F-131F)
  • Storage temperature: -20 C-+70’c(-14 F-158 F).
  • Protect filter from liquid and dirt contact.
  • Clean filters’ surfaces regularly; do not use strong cleaning solutions. Always keep sensors and solar cells clean using a clean lint-free tissue/cloth.
  • Regularly replace the cracked/soratched/pitted Front Cover Lens. Severe personal injury could occur if the user fails to follow the aforementioned warnings, and/or fails to follow the operating instructions.

MAINTENANCE

Warning:

  • Replacement of any components and/or parts shall be original from the manufacturer.
  • User shall not uninstall the auto-darkening welding flter. The flter must be removed by the local dealer or qualified personnel. Otherwise it will cause the warranty invalid.
  • Replacing the Cover Lens if it is damaged (cracked scratched, soiled or pitted).
  • Cleaning The Auto-darkening Welding Filter with a clean lint-free tissue or cotton cloth.
  • Don’t immerse the lens in water or any other liquid. Never use abrasives, solvents or oil based cleaners.
  • Don’t try to open the Auto-darkening Welding Filter

STORAGE

  • The helmet and the auto-darkening welding filter shall be stored in dry, and well-ventilated place. Do not exposed to direct sunshine.
  • Do not hit, click, scratch or squeeze the helmet.
  • Do not dirty the welding filter.
