Product Usage Instructions

  • If your car is not equipped with the ISOFIX guide socket, insert the guide socket into the ISOFIX anchor located between the backrest and seat cushion.
  • Press the ISOFIX button and push rearward to the longest position.
  • Pull out the Top Tether and press the tether strap release button to extend it until it reaches the Top Tether anchorage point in the vehicle.
  • Tighten the Top Tether until the button changes to green, indicating the correct installation.

FAQ

  • Can I install this child restraint system in the front seats of my car?
  • No, it is not recommended to install the child restraint system in front seats unless specific conditions are met. Please refer to section NOTICE 1 in the instructions for more details.
  • When can I switch from rearward-facing to forward-facing position?
  • The child should be at least 15 months old before switching to a forward-facing position. Ensure that your vehicle does not have an active front seat airbag when using the child seat in a rearward-facing position.

The instructions for use must be kept for the entire life of the universal child restraint system.
WARNING!

  1. This car seat provides optimal safety in all installation positions for which it was designed.

  2. This is an i-Size Enhanced Child Restraint System (40-105cm). It is approved under European Regulation 129 ( ECE R129 ), for use in i-Size compatible car seats as indicated by manufacturers in the car owner’s manual. If you have questions, please consult either the Enhanced Child Restraint System manufacturer or the distributor.

  3. This is an i-Size booster Enhanced Child Restraint System (100-135cm). It is approved according to ECE R129, for use in i-Size compatible seats, as indicated by the manufacturer in the car owner’s manual. If you have questions, please consult either the Enhanced Child Restraint System manufacturer or the distributor.

  4. This is a booster seat for specific cars (135-150cm) and is an Enhanced Child Restraint System. It is approved according to European Regulation R129, for use in specific
    cars detailed in the applicable vehicle list. If you have questions, please consult either the Enhanced Child Restraint System manufacturer or the retailer.

  5. This is an ‘i-Size Universal’ child restraint system, approved under European ECE R129, for its general use in cars, although it is not suitable for all cars.

  6. It should be installed in cars for which the manufacturer states in its car owner’s manual that the vehicle is suitable for an ‘i-Size Universal’ child restraint system for this age range.

  7. The product has been approved under European regulation ECE R129 and can be used for heights between 40 and 150 cm and a maximum weight of 36 kg.

  8. Make sure that the buckle is correctly fastened before starting to drive.

  9. Any straps holding the restraint to the vehicle should be tight, any support leg should be in contact with the vehicle floor, any straps or impact shields restraining the child should be adjusted to the child’s body, and straps should not be twisted.

  10. Ensure that any strap or belt that holds the child is not folded or twisted and remains tightened.

  11. Ensure that the abdominal belt or strap rests as low as possible over the child’s hips, on both sides.

  12. In the event of an accident, even if there are no apparent damages, the seat may be unsafe. The seat should be replaced after being subjected to the sudden and strong stresses associated with an accident.

  13. Instructions and illustrations are for informational purposes only. The child restraint system may contain small differences compared to the photographs or images in the instructions manual. These variations do not affect its approval by Regulation ECE R129.

  14. Under no circumstances should the car seat be installed in the car’s passenger seat opposite the direction of travel if there is an active airbag.

  15. Please read the instructions carefully, as incorrect installation could result in serious injury. In this case, the manufacturer shall not be held liable.

  16. Ensure that all the locking devices are engaged before use.

  17. It is dangerous to undertake any changes or additions to the safety seat without approval from the competent authority. It is dangerous to not strictly follow the installation instruc-tions provided by the child car set manufacturer.

  18. Please never use the safety seat without its cover or the harness protectors.

  19. Make sure to protect the child safety seat from direct sunlight as it could heat up and hurt the child.

  20. The car seat should remain permanently installed in the vehicle, even when the child is not in it. Never leave the child unattended when sitting in the car seat, even when the seat is outside the vehicle.

  21. Make sure that any luggage or objects that could cause injuries in the event of an accident are fastened securely.

  22. The cover of the child restraint system should not be replaced with another unless recommended by the manufacturer, because it is an integral part of the system for securing children!

  23. It should be installed in cars for which the manufacturer states in its car owner’s manual that the vehicle is suitable for an ‘i-Size Universal’ child restraint system for this age range.

  24. Security is only guaranteed if the child restraint is fitted by these instructions.

  25. For the i-Size enhanced child restraint system, the user must read the instructions manual of the vehicle’s manufacturer.

  26. Don’t use forward-facing before the child reaches the age of 15 months.

  27. Do not use rearward-facing child seats in seating positions where an active frontal airbag is installed. Death or serious injury can occur.

  28. It is important to ensure that any lap strap is worn low down so that the pelvis is firmly engaged.

  29. The instruction must be retained on the child restraint for its life period.

  30. The hard components or plastic parts of safety devices for children should be deployed and installed in a way that during everyday use of the vehicle not be jammed by the movable seats or doors. Prevent harness/vehicle belt from getting trapped between car doors or rubbing against sharp parts of the seat or body.

  31. All belts that fix the restraint system to the vehicle must be tightened, and all belts retaining the child must be adjusted according to the child’s body. Twisting of the belts shall not be allowed.

  32. Don’t use another support point of contact except the ones described in the instructions and marked on the child restraint system.

  33. If the child restraint system offers an alternative support point of contact and you consider that using that alternative route is not satisfactory, please contact the manufacturer of the child restraint system.

  34. Install the car seat in the seating positions indicated in this instruction.

  35. Do not use the car seat in the house. It is not designed for home use and should only be used in the vehicle.

  36. Before you set any mobile or adjustable part of the child seat, you need to remove your child from the child seat.

  37. Check regularly the belts for wearing by paying special attention to the fixing points, the safety guards and the adjusting devices.

  38. Do not leave the buckle partially closed, it must be locked when all parts are engaged. You must be able to remove the child from the seat immediately in case of emergency. You have to teach the child not to play with the buckle.

  39. Keep the child’s chair at a safe place away from children when not in use. Avoid placing heavy objects on the chair. Prevent contact of your vehicle chair with corrosive substances, for example, acid from the battery.

NOTICE
Do NOT install in front seats except in these special cases:

  1. When the car does not have back seats.
  2. When all back seats are occupied by children less than or equal to 135 cm tall.
  3. When it is not possible to install all child restraints in the back seats.

In seats with ISOFIX anchorages and Top Tether anchor points and 3-point belt (car’s seat belt).

ATTENTION
The child seat must only be used in this seat IF it has ISOFIX anchorages, top tether points a lap and 3 3-point belt: diagonal (A) and abdominal (B).

PREPARATORY WORK AND FUNCTIONS

Prepare ISOFIX

  1. If your car is not equipped with the ISOFIX guide socket, please insert the guide socket into the ISOFIX anchor.
    TIP: ISOFIX anchors are located between the backrest and seat cushion.

  2. Press the ISOFIX button and push rearward to the longest.

Prepare Top Tether

  1. Pull out the Top Tether and press the tether strap release button to extend the strap until it is long enough to connect it to the Top Tether anchorage point in the vehicle.
  2. If the Top Tether is tightened favourably and correctly, the button will change to green.

Adjust the harness and headrest
Adjust the harness and headrest in the 5-point harness installation(From 40 up to105cm)

  1. Press down on the central adjuster and pull the shoulder belts towards you, (DO NOT pull on the shoulder pads ) and release the 5-point harness as far as it will go.
  2. Pull upwards on the adjusting handle, whilst pulling up or pushing down the headrest to the required position. Adjusting the height of the headrest will allow for the shoulder belts to be the same level as the child’s shoulders.

Adjust headrest(From 100 up to 150cm)

  1. Make sure the 5-point harness is removed.
  2. Make sure the seat cushion is removed.
  3. Press on the adjusting handle in the direction of the arrow to release the headrest, and then adjust the headrest up or down to the desired position. Upon release of this handle, the headrest will lock into place automatically.
  4. The headrest is in the correct position when the diagonal belt section of the 3-point vehicle belt sits on the child’s shoulders and when you can’t have 2 fingers between the seat belt shoulder strap of the headrest and the shoulder of the child.

Use 360° rotation system
To rotate 180° in Rearward Facing (From 40 up to 105cm Rearward Facing)

  1. Pull the rotation button outwards to release the child’s car seat, and then rotate the child’s car seat by 90°, at which the child’s car seat will lock into place automatically.
  2. To rotate it back to the rearward facing position: pull the rotation button outwards to release the child car seat, and then rotate the child car seat by 180° back to the rearward facing position, at where the child car seat will lock into place automatically.
  3. Ensure the child’s car seat is at the rearward facing position and in the fullest recline position.
  4. Double-check the bottom support.

To rotate 180° from Rearward Facing (From 40 up to 105cm) to Forward Facing(From 76 up to 150cm Forward Facing)

  1. Pull the rotation button outwards to release the child car seat, and then rotate the child car seat by 180° at where the child car seat will lock into place automatically.
  2. Adjust the recline position to the desired position if necessary. Ensure the child’s car seat is at the forward-facing position and the desired recline position.

Forward Facing( From 76 up to 150cm)

  1. Pull the rotate button to push the child car seat, and then push the child car seat to one to ve forward-facing gears. After releasing the rotate button, the child’s car seat will lock in place automatically.
  2. Ensure the child’s car seat is at the forward-facing position and the desired recline position.

INSTALLATION
WARNING! Do not use forward-facing before the child’s age exceeds 15 months. If the vehicle is equipped with an active front seat airbag, DO NOT use the child seat in a rearward-facing position.

Rearward Facing Installation
With 5-point harness+ ISOFIX + Top Tether (40-105cm, from brith to approx. 15 months)

  1. Prepare the ISOFIX.
  2. Ensure that the 5-point harness is correctly installed and ensure that it is correctly adjusted.
  3. Adjust the child’s car seat to the fullest recline position and make sure the recline mechanism is securely locked.
  4. Rotate the child’s car seat to the rear of the vehicle against the direction of travel. Ensure that the child’s car seat is in the rearward-facing position and the rotation mechanism is securely locked.
  5. Double-check to make sure that the child’s car seat is in the fullest reclined position.
  6. Install the ISOFIX conrm that the indicator turns green and unfold the bottom support.
  7. Push the child seat towards the backrest applying a rm, even pressure on both sides.
  8. Children between 40 and 75cm need cushions to sit in seats when it exceeds 75cm, take off the seat cushion.

Securing your child with a 5-point harness

  1. Press the red button to release the 5-point harness buckle and press on the central adjuster to pull out the shoulder belts. DO NOT pull on the shoulder pads.
  2. Place your child in the child’s car seat and ensure that your child’s back is lying against the backrest of the child’s car seat.
  3. Guide the two buckle latches together and insert them into the 5-point harness buckle. An audible “click” will be heard once the buckle is locked.
  4. Pull the adjuster strap towards you until the harness lies and is close to your child’s body.

For your child’s safety, ensure that the following checks are carried out before every journey:

  • The ISOFIX connectors are securely engaged in the anchors and the indicators are both completely green.

  • The child restraint is sat up against the backrest of the vehicle seat.

  • The 5-point harness is taped snugly to the child. Make sure you can no more than one finger between the harness and the child’s body, approximately 1cm. If there is more
    space, tighten the harness further.

  • The straps are not twisted.

  • The shoulder straps sit in the correct position on the child’s shoulders.

  • Any lap strap must be worn low down so that the pelvis is rmly engaged.

  • The 5-point harness buckle is properly secured.

Fix the Top Tether

  1. Prepare the Top Tether after your child is secured by a 5-point harness with the rearward facing.
  2. Place the Top Tether strap through the gap between the headrest and the backrest, then connect the Top Tether anchorage. If the Top Tether is tightened favourably and correctly, the button will change to green.

Forward Facing Installation
With 5-point harness+ISOFIX+Top Tether (75-105cm, from approx. 9 months to 4 years)

  1. Prepare the ISOFIX.
  2. Ensure that the 5-point harness is correctly installed.
  3. Ensure that the 5-point harness is correctly adjusted.
  4. Adjust the child’s car seat to the desired recline position and ensure that the recline mechanism is securely locked.
  5. Ensure that the child’s car seat is in the forward-facing position and the rotation mechanism is securely locked.
  6. Place the child restraint on the vehicle seat facing the front of the vehicle in the direction of travel.
  7. Install the ISOFIXcon rm so that the indicator turns green.
  8. Push the child’s car seat towards the backrest applying RM, even pressure on both sides.
  9. Secure your child in the child’s car seat with a 5-point harness.
  10. Prepare the Top Tether after your child is secured by a 5-point harness with the forward-facing, follow the steps described in points 2.2-2.3.

For your child’s safety, ensure that the following checks are carried out before every journey

  • The ISOFIX connectors are securely engaged in the anchors and the indicators are both completely green.

  • The child restraint is sat up against the backrest of the vehicle seat.

  • The 5-point harness is taped snugly to the child. Make sure you can no more than one finger between the harness and the child’s body, approximately 1cm. If there is more
    space, tighten the harness further.

  • The straps are not twisted.

  • The shoulder straps sit in the correct position on the child’s shoulders.

  • Any lap strap must be worn low down so that the pelvis is rmly engaged.

Installation Forward Facing with two options (100-150cm, from 3 to 10 years)

  • with 3-point vehicle belt
  • with 3-point vehicle belt & ISOFIX
  1. Ensure that the 5-point harness has been removed correctly. (Refer to section V)
  2. Ensure the pad has been removed
  3. Adjust the child’s car seat to the required position and make sure the recline mechanism is securely locked.
  4. Ensure that the child’s car seat is in the forward-facing position and the rotation mechanism is securely locked.
  5. Place the child restraint on the vehicle seat facing the front of the vehicle in the direction of travel.
  6. Install the ISOFIX and make sure that the indicator turns green.
  7. Push the child’s car seat towards the backrest applying rm, even pressure on both sides.

Securing your child with the 3-point vehicle belt

  1. Place the child in the child car seat.
  2. Pull out the 3-point vehicle belt as far as possible guide it around the front of the child, and secure the vehicle seat buckle. An audible” click” will be heard once the buckle is locked.
  3. Place the diagonal belt section and the lap belt section on the same side of the vehicle seat buckle, under the armrest and through the red belt guide gap of the child’s car seat.
  4. Place the lap belt section on the opposite side of the child’s car seat through the red belt guide gap.
  5. Ensure that the diagonal belt of the 3-point vehicle belt is over the child’s collarbone and not in front of their neck.

TIP: If necessary, adjust the headrest to ensure that the seat belt ls sitting correctly on the child’s shoulder.
For your child’s safety, ensure that the following checks are carried out before every journey:

  • The ISOFIX connectors are securely engaged in the anchors and the indicators are both completely green.
  • The child’s car seat is sat up against the backrest of the vehicle seat.
  • The diagonal belt section of the 3-point vehicle belt and the lap belt section on the side of the vehicle seat buckle are passed through the red belt guide gap.
  • The lap belt section on the opposite side to the vehicle seat buckle is passed through the red belt guide gap.
  • The diagonal belt of the vehicle seat belt sits over the child’s collarbone and not in front of the neck.
  • Any lap strap must be worn low down so that the pelvis is rmly engaged.
  • The 3-point vehicle belt is tight and not twisted at any point.

REMOVAL OF THE CHILD CAR SEAT ISOFIX

  1. Press the ISOFIX release buttons to release the ISOFIX connectors, and push the ISOFIX connectors back into the base of the child restraint.
  2. Remove the child’s car seat from the vehicle seat.

POINT VEHICLE BELT + ISOFIX

  1. Release the buckle tongue from the vehicle seat buckle. Unthread the 3-point vehicle belt from the child’s car seat and allow it to retract.
  2. Press the ISOFIX release buttons to release the ISOFIX connectors, and push the ISOFIX connectors back into the base of the child restraint.
  3. Remove the child’s car seat from the vehicle seat.

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION OF THE 5-POINT HARNESS

Removal of the 5-point harness

  1. Press down on the central adjuster, and pull the shoulder straps towards you, extending the 5-point harness as far as it will go. DO NOT pull on the shoulder pads.
  2. Pull the adjusting handle upwards, whilst pushing the headrest downwards to a suitable position. Turn the child car seat around so that the rear is facing you.
  3. Open the rear cover board.
  4. Place the webbing loops of the shoulder straps over the joint plate.
  5. Close the rear cover board. Turn the child’s car seat around so that the front is facing you.
  6. Pull out the shoulder belts and shoulder pads from the headrest slots in front of the headrest.
  7. Take out the shoulder belts from the buckle.
  8. Turn the metal plate to be vertical and remove from the housing, remove the 5-point harness buckle.

Installation of the 5-point harness

  1. Place the 5-point harness buckle into the crotch pad.
  2. Turn the metal plate of the 5-point harness buckle to be vertical and insert it into the housing.
  3. Guide the two buckle latches together and insert them into the 5-point harness buckle. An audible “click” will be heard once the buckle is locked.
  4. Pull the adjusting handle upwards, whilst pushing the headrest upwards until the holes are aligned.
  5. Thread both of the shoulder belts through the shoulder pads.
  6. Thread the loops of both shoulder belts and shoulder pads through the headrest slots. The straps of the shoulder pads should be beneath the straps of the shoulder belt. Turn the child car seat around so that the rear is facing you.
  7. Open the rear cover board.
  8. Place the webbing loops of the shoulder straps over the joint plate.
  9. Close the rear cover board.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

  • Care for the 5-point harness buckle: Buckle failure can cause injury.
  • DO NOT use oil or other lubricants on any part of the 5-point harness buckle.
  • Buckle malfunctions are usually caused by a build-up of debris such as food crumbs or other small particles.

Signs of buckle malfunction as below

  • The buckle latches are slow to release when the red release button is pressed.
  • The buckle latches will not lock into the buckle securely (i.e. they are ejected again if you try to push them in).
  • The buckle latches engage without an audible “click”.
  • The buckle latches are difficult to insert (you will feel resistance).
  • The buckle opens ONLY when extreme force is applied.

To wash the harness buckle so that it functions as required

  • Step 1: Remove the 5-point harness buckle from the child’s car seat.
  • Step 2: Soak the 5-point harness buckle in warm water with mild washing-up liquid for at least an hour. Rinse and allow it to air dry thoroughly before attaching back onto the child car seat.
