The Adjustment and Installation of a Child Safety Seat
Using the Buckle

  1. Put the left and right clamps of the buckle together, ensuring they meet.
  2. Close the clamps with no gap and facing up.
  3. Insert the buckle tongue into the slot until you hear a click.

Adjusting the Length of the Belt

  1. Tighten the seat belt by pulling up the adjustment strap.
  2. Loosen the seat belt by pressing the adjustment button and pulling the straps under the shoulder pads.

Adjusting the Height of Headrest

  1. Release the seat belt, adjust the headrest height to match your child’s shoulders.

The instructions for use must be kept for the entire life of the universal child restraint system.
WARNING!

  1. This car seat provides optimal safety in all installation positions for which it was designed.

  2. This is an i-Size Enhanced Child Restraint System (40-105cm). It is approved pursuant to European Regulation 129 ( ECE R129 ), for use in i-Size compatible car seats as indicated by manufacturers in the car owner’s manual. If you have questions, please consult either the Enhanced Child Restraint System manufacturer or the distributor.

  3. This is an i-Size booster Enhanced Child Restraint System (100-135cm). It is approved according to ECE R129, for use in i-Size compatible seats, as indicated by the manufacturer in the car owner’s manual. If you have questions, please consult either the Enhanced Child Restraint System manufacturer or the distributer.

  4. This is a booster seat for specific cars (135-150cm) and is an Enhanced Child Restraint System. It is approved according to European Regulation R129, for use in specific
    cars detailed in the applicable vehicle list. If you have questions, please consult either the Enhanced Child Restraint System manufacturer or the retailer.

  5. This is an ‘i-Size Universal’ child restraint system, approved pursuant to European ECE R129, for its general use in cars, although it is not suitable for all cars.

  6. It should be installed in cars for which the manufacturer states in its car owner’s manual that the vehicle is suitable for an ‘i-Size Universal’ child restraint system for this age range.

  7. The product has been approved pursuant to European regulation ECE R129 and can be used for heights between 40 and 150 cm and maximum weight 36 kg.

  8. Make sure that the buckle is correctly fastened before starting to drive.

  9. Any straps holding the restraint to the vehicle should be tight, that any support-leg should be in contact with the vehicle floor, that any straps or impact shields restraining the child should be adjusted to the child’s body, and that straps should not be twisted.

  10. Ensure that any strap or belt that holds the child is not folded or twisted and remains tightened.

  11. Ensure that the abdominal belt or strap rests as low as possible over the child’s hips, on both sides.

  12. In the event of an accident, even if there are no apparent damages, the seat may be unsafe. The seat should be replaced after being subjected to the sudden and strong stresses associated with an accident.

  13. Instructions illustrations are for informational purposes only. The child restraint system may contain small differences compared to the photographs or images in the instructions manual. These variations do not affect its approval by Regulation ECE R129.

  14.  Under no circumstances should the car seat be installed in the car’s passenger seat opposite the direction of travel if there is an active airbag.

  15. Please read the instructions carefully, as incorrect installation could result in serious injury. In this case, the manufacturer shall not be held liable.

  16. Ensure that all the locking devices are engaged before use.

  17. It is dangerous to undertake any changes or additions to the safety seat with approval from the competent authority. It is dangerous to not strictly follow the installation instructions provided by the child car set manufacturer.

  18. Please never use the safety seat without its cover or without the harness protectors.

  19. Make sure to protect the child safety seat from direct sunlight as it could heat up and hurt the child.

  20. The car seat should remain permanently installed in the vehicle, even when the child is not in it. Never leave the child unattended when sitting in the car seat, even when the seat is outside the vehicle.

  21. Make sure that any luggage or objects that could cause injuries in the event of an accident are fastened securely.

  22. The cover of the child restraint system should not be replaced with another, unless recommended by the manufacturer, because it is an integral part of the system for securing children!

  23. It should be installed in cars for which the manufacturer states in its car owner’s manual that the vehicle is suitable for an ‘i-Size Universal’ child restraint system for this age range.

  24. Security is only guaranteed if the child restraint is fitted in accordance with these instructions.

  25. For the i-Size enhanced child restraint system, the user must read the instructions manual of the vehicle’s manufacturer.

  26. Don’t use in forward facing before the child reaches the age of 15 months.

  27. Do no use rearward facing child seat in seating positions where an active frontal airbag installed. Death or serious injury can occur.

  28. It is important to ensure that any lap strap is worn low down, so that the pelvis is firmly engaged.

  29. The instruction must be retained on the child restraint for its life period.

  30. The hard components or plastic parts of safety device for children should be deployed and installed in way that during everyday use of the vehicle not be jammed by the movable seats or doors. Prevent harness/vehicle belt from getting trapped between car doors or rubbing against sharp parts of the seat or body.

  31. All belts that fix the restraint system to the vehicle must be tightened , all belts retaining the child must be adjusted according to the child’s body. Twisting of the belts shall not be allowed.

  32. Don’t use another support point of contact except the ones described in the instructions and marked on the child restraint system.

  33. If the child restraint system offers alternative support point of contact and you consider that using that alternative route is not satisfactory, please contact the manufacturer of the child restraint system.

  34. Install the car seat in the seating positions indicated in this instruction.

  35. Do not use the car seat in the house. It is not designed for home use and should only be used in the vehicle.

  36. Before you set any mobile or adjustable part of the child seat, you need to remove your child from the child seat.

  37. Check regularly the belts for wearing by paying special attention to the fixing points, the safety guards and the adjusting devices.

  38. Do not leave the buckle partially closed, it must be locked when all parts are engaged. You must be able to remove the child from the seat immediately in case of emergency. You have to teach the child not to play with the buckle.

  39. Keep the child’s chair at a safe place away from children when not in use. Avoid placing heavy objects on the chair. Prevent contact of your vehicle chair with corrosive substances, for example acid from the battery.

NOTICE
Do NOT install in front seats except in these specific cases:

  1. When the car does not have back seats.

  2. When all back seats are occupied by children less than or equal to 135 cm tall.

  3. When it is not possible to install all child restraints in the back seats.
    In seats with: ISOFIX anchorages and Top Tether anchor points and 3-point belt (car’s seat belt).
    ATTENTION

  4. The child seat must only be used in this seat IF it has ISOFIX anchorages, top tether points a lap and 3 points belt: diagonal (A) and abdominal (B).

II. THE ADJUSTMENT AND INSTALLATION OF A CHILD SAFETY SEATkikka-boo-i-D7R6 i

THE USAGE OF THE BUCKLE

  • 2.1 Put the left and right clamps of the buckle together (as shown in the picture), ensure the left and right tongues are meeting together.
  • 2.2 The left and right clamps should be closed and no gap should be left and keep face up.
  • 2.3 Insert the buckle tongue into the slot.
    2.4 If you hear “click’ it means that the buckle has been fastened.kikka-

THE USING OF THE BUCKLE

  • 2.5-2.7 When the buckle passes the appropriate position through the groove, the buckle is inserted into the cloth groove, pull the belt several times to make sure that the buckle is stable and finally put the buckle pad on.

ADJUST THE LENGTH OF THE BELT

  • 2.8 Tighten your seat belt: pull up the adjustment strap to keep the belt fastened as tight as possible. Loosened belt is extremely dangerous, so please make sure that the belt is fastened before using.
  • 2.9 Loosen your seat belt: you can loose your seat belt by pressing the adjustment button in front of the seat. Press down the adjustment button while pulling the two straps under the shoulder pads to loosen the seat belt.

ADJUST THE HEIGHT OF HEADREST

  • 2.10 Release the seat belt by adjusting the adjustment button in front of the seat and pull the headrest up, move the headrest to the suitable height.
  • 2.11 Properly adjust the headrest to ensure that your child is in the safety seat to provide the best protection; The headrest must be adjusted to the height which is similar with child’s shoulder.
  • NOTICE! The shoulder straps must be at the height which is similar with child’s shoulder or slightly above the shoulders of children. The shoulder strap should not be placed behind the child or near the ear.

ADJUST THE RECLINING OF THE SEAT

  • The safety seat can be adjusted to many different angles.
  • 2.12-2.14 Rearward facing: The maximum angle help your child to sleep soundly. If your child‘s age is less than 15 months, it must be rearward facing. WARNING! Do not use forward facing before the child’s age exceeds 15 months. For stature 40-105cm, please use 1,2,3,4 position.kikka-boo-i-D7R6 i-Size-Car-Seat- \(9\)
  • 2.15 Forward facing: Press the base of the car seat by one hand, and pull the adjustable button under the shell to adjust to the suitable position(there are four positions). For stature 76-105cm, please use 1,2,3,4 position. When using position 4 it may not fit in all vehicles. For stature 100- l50cm, please use only 1st position.

CUSHION FOR A NEWBORN BABY

  • NOTICE! When the height of baby is 40-87cm, please use the newborn baby’s cusion.

THE ROTATION FUNCTIONS

  • Seat from rearward facing to forward facing.

  • 2.18 Press the rotation button and rotate it by hand. Turn the seat to forward facing by rotation 180° degrees.

  • 2.19-2.21 After rotating the child safety seat in the correct direction, please make sure the child safety seat rotation has been locked.

  • Seat from forward facing to rearward facing:

  • 2.22-2.23 Adjust the seat to the maximum reclining position by pulling the reclining handle.kikka-boo-i-D7R6 i-Size-Car-Seat- \(14\)

  • 2.24-2.25 Press the rotation button and rotate it by hand. Turn the seat to rearward facing by rotation 180° degrees.kikka-boo-i-D7R6 i-Size-Car-Seat- \(15\)

  • NOTICE! Before each trip, please make sure that the seat rotation is locked by turning the seat in both directions. If your child‘s age is less than 15 months, please use rearward  facing. Before each trip, please make sure the child seat is in the correct group and configuration.

  • 5-POINT SAFETY BELT TO FASTEN THE CHILD

  • 2.26 Put together the left and right clip and insert the buckle, it is indicated that the buckle is fastened when you hear ”ka” sound. Press the adjustment button and pull the strap, in the same time, please keep the child’s shoulders comfortable.kikka-boo-i-D7R6 i-Size-Car-Seat- \(16\)

  • THE WAY TO REMOVE 5-POINT SAFETY BELT

  • 2.27-2.28 Rotate the safety seat to the back and open the back cover.

  • 2.29 Pull the strap out, which is together with the three-way connection, as long as possible and place this position as shown in the picture.kikka-boo-i-D7R6 i-Size-Car-Seat- \(17\)

  • 2.30 Release the shoulder strap from the shoulder clip, and finally pull the shoulder strap and shoulder pad out.

  • 2.31 Pull out the adjusting strap and release the two shoulder straps from the three-way connection metal clip as shown in the picture.

  • 2.32 Press the red button to open the buckle.

  • 2.33 Pass the buckle (without insertion) through the hole.

  • 2.34 Open the upholstery like the picture, fasten the insertion to buckle, open the buckle cover under the base, put the buckle to the buckle hole and finally close the cover.

INSTALLATION FOR ISOFIX

  • NOTICE! Child safety seats are also available with the ISOFIX guider (If your car is not equipped with the standard ISOFIX guider).
  • 2.36-2.37 If it will be more convenient to install, please clamp the ISOFIX guider on an ISOFIX fixed point on the car.kikka-boo-i-D7R6 i-Size-Car-Seat- \(20\)
  • NOTICE! You can recline your car seat to the proper position if the angle of the car seat can adjust, it will be more convenient to install the ISOFIX.
  • 2.38-2.40 Push the isofix to the ISOFIX guider until locking the ISOFIX, than push the baby car seat toward to the car seat until meeting it.

THE WAY TO REMOVE ISOFIX

  • 2.41 Press the “ISOFIX release button” on both side and hear the “click” sound, then remove the seat. Only when the left and right ISOFIX show red indicator, it means that ISOFIX has unlocked correctly.

THE INSTALLATION METHOD FOR TOP TETHER

  • 2.42-2.43 Open the back cover, take out the top tether and close the back cover. Release the top tether strap by pressing the release button and pulling the strap to longer.
  • 2.44-2.45 Pass top tether under the headrest of the car seat.

  • 2.46 Clip the top tether. There are three fixed points anchor behind the car seat, please choose the one according to your car position of anchor.
  • NOTICE! Pass the top tether belt under the pillow of the car seat (if the piIIow can not adjust, please pass it upon the pillow).
  • 2.47 Fasten the belt by pulling the belt backwards until the indicator shows green.

III. INSTALLATION METHOD

  • USE ISOFIX+ TOP TETHER TO INSTALL THE CHILD SAFETY SEAT IN REARWARD FACING POSITION (SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN 40- 105CM / < 18KG)
  • 3.1 When installing the child safety seat in rearward facing, please follow the 2.18-2.25 method, rotate the seat to the rearward facing position (as shown in picture) then follow the method 2.36-2.40 to install ISOFIX in the car seat.
  • WARNING! Under no circumstances the car seat can be used in a position that has airbags.
  • 3.2 Pull out the top tether and pass it on the belt guider on the back of the car seat from top to bottom, press it (as shown in picture) and finally follow the method 2.42-2.47.kikka-boo-i-D7R6 i-Size-Car-Seat- \(27\)
  • USE ISOFIX+ TOP TETHER TO INSTALL THE CHILD SAFETY SEAT IN FORWARD FACING POSITION (SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN 76- 105 CM / < 18KG)
  • NOTICE! When the child’s weight is below 9kg, the child safety seat must be with Rearward facing installation. 3.3
    • For adjusting the child safety seat to the suitable position, please follow method 2.12-2.15
    • For installing ISOFIX to the ISOFIX fixed anchor in the car, please follow method 2.36-2.40
    • For installing top tether to the top tether fixed anchor in the car, please follow method 2.42-2.47
    • Check the child safety seat if it is installed correctly.
    • Fix the child, please follow 2.26

USE ISOFIX ATTACHMENT+ 3-POINT SEAT BELT TO INSTALL THE CHILD SAFETY SEAT IN FORWARD FACING POSITION (SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN 100-150 CM)

  • Remove the 5-point safety belt first.
  • Meet the ISOFIX and ISOFIX anchor points on the car seat.
  •  Put the child safety seat on the car seat and adjust the child safety seat to the suitable position.
  • The belt of the car seat passes through the seat belt guider and passes around the child’s shoulder.
  • The belly belt of the car seat belt passes through the belly belt guider and passes the child’s pelvis.
  • Fasten the car seat belt.
  • NOTICE! When used from 135-150cm, may not fit in all vehicles.

USE 3-POINT SEAT BELT TO INSTALL THE CHILD SAFETY SEAT IN FORWARD FACING POSITION (SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN 100-150 CM)

  • Remove the 5-point safety belt first.
  • Put the child safety seat on the car seat, and adjust the child safety seat to the suitable position.
  • The belt of the car seat passes through the seat belt guider and passes around the child’s shoulder.
  • The belly belt of the car seat belt passes through the belly belt guider and passes the child’s pelvis.
  • Fasten the car seat belt.
  • NOTICE! When used from 135-150cm, may not fit in all vehicles.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

  • In the daily using, it is necessary to regularly check the child safety seat.
  • In case of accident, the safety seat must be replaced.
  • When the car seat is not in use, the child safety seat should be placed in a dry and ventilated place to avoid damp and mildew.
  • If there is dust on the surface of the child safety seat,you can use a damp sponge to wipe and ventilate it to dry.
  •  If food or drink drops onto the seat belt by accident, please remove the seat belt and rinse thoroughly with warm water and ventilate it to dry.
  • Slight fading may occur during the first washing, which is a normal situation.
