Product Usage Instructions

Installation

Follow these steps for proper installation:

Forward-Facing Usage

Top Tether Installation

To install the top tether:

  1. Pull out the top tether strap by pressing the Top Tether Adjuster button.
  2. Hang the Top Tether Clip on the fixed point at the back of the vehicle seat.
  3. Ensure the top tether strap is tightened and the indicator turns green.

IMPORTANT! KEEP FOR FUTURE REFERENCE! READ CAREFULLY!

WARNING!

  1. This car seat provides optimal safety in all installation positions for which it was designed.

  2. This is a Universal booster seat Enhanced Child Restraint System (100-150cm). It is approved according to UN Regulation No.129, for use in i-Size compatible and universal vehicle seating positions as indicated by vehicle manufacturer in the vehicle user’s manual. If in doubt, consult the Universal Enhanced Child Restraint System manufacturer or the retailer.

  3. This is an i-Size Universal Enhanced Child Restraint System, it is approved to regulation No. 129 series of amendments, for general use in vehicles and it will fit most, but not at all, car seats. If in doubt, consult either the Universal Enhanced Child Restraint System manufacturer or the retailer.

  4. It should be installed in vehicles in which the vehicle manufacturer’s manual states that child restraint systems rated as ‘Universal i-Size’ are acceptable for this age group.

  5. The product has been approved under European regulation ECE R129 and can be used for heights between 100 and 150 cm.

  6. Make sure that the buckle is correctly fastened before starting to drive.

  7. Any straps holding the restraint to the vehicle should be tight, that any support leg should be in contact with the vehicle floor, any straps or impact shields restraining the child should be adjusted to the child’s body, and that straps should not be twisted.

  8. Ensure that any strap or belt that holds the child is not folded or twisted and remains tightened.

  9. Ensure that the abdominal belt or strap rests as low as possible over the child’s hips, on both sides.

  10. In the event of an accident, even if there are no apparent damages, the seat may be unsafe. The seat should be replaced after being subjected to the sudden and strong stresses associated with an accident.

  11. Instruction illustrations are for informational purposes only. The child restraint system may contain small differences compared to the photographs or images in the instruction manual. These variations do not affect its approval by Regulation ECE R129.

  12. Under no circumstances should the car seat be installed in the car’s passenger seat opposite the direction of travel if there is an active airbag.

  13. Please read the instructions carefully, as incorrect installation could result in serious injury. In this case, the manufacturer shall not be held liable.

  14. Ensure that all the locking devices are engaged before use.

  15. It is dangerous to undertake any changes or additions to the safety seat without approval from the competent authority. It is dangerous to not strictly follow the installation instruc-tions provided by the child car set manufacturer.

  16. Please never use the safety seat without its cover or without the harness protectors.

  17. Make sure to protect the child safety seat from direct sunlight as it could heat up and hurt the child.

  18. The car seat should remain permanently installed in the vehicle, even when the child is not in it. Never leave the child unattended when sitting in the car seat, even when the seat is outside the vehicle.

  19. Make sure that any luggage or objects that could cause injuries in the event of an accident are fastened securely.

  20. The cover of the child restraint system should not be replaced with another unless recommended by the manufacturer, because it is an integral part of the system for securing children!

  21. It should be installed in cars for which the manufacturer states in its car owner’s manual that the vehicle is suitable for an i-Size Universal Enhanced Child Restraint System for this age range.

  22. Security is only guaranteed if the child restraint is fitted by these instructions.

  23. The manufacturer guarantees the quality of its products, but not the quality of second-hand products or products of other brands.

  24. Replace child seats or harness accessories that are damaged or have been used incorrectly.

  25. For the i-Size enhanced child restraint system, the user must read the instructions manual of the vehicle’s manufacturer.

  26. Don’t use in forward-facing before the child reaches the age of 15 months.

  27. It is important to ensure that any lap strap is worn low down so that the pelvis is firmly engaged.

  28. The instruction must be retained on the child restraint for its life period.

  29. The hard components or plastic parts of safety devices for children should be deployed and installed in way that during everyday use of the vehicle not be
    jammed by the movable seats or doors. Prevent harness/vehicle belt from getting trapped between car doors or rubbing against sharp parts of the seat or body.

  30. All belts that fix the restraint system to the vehicle must be tightened, all belts retaining the child must be adjusted according to the child’s body. Twisting of the belts shall not be allowed.

  31. Don’t use another support point of contact except the ones described in the instructions and marked on the child restraint system.

  32. If the child restraint system offers an alternative support point of contact and you consider that using that alternative route is not satisfactory, please contact the manufacturer of the child restraint system.

  33. Install the child restraint system at the seating positions in the vehicle categorized as I-size in the vehicle owner’s manual by using the primary route of the belt.

  34. Do not use the car seat in the house. It is not designed for home use and should only be used in the vehicle.

  35. Before you set any mobile or adjustable part of the child seat, you need to remove your child from the child seat.

  36. Check regularly the belts for wearing by paying special attention to the fixing points, the safety guards and the adjusting devices.

  37. Do not leave the buckle partially closed, it must be locked when all parts are engaged. You must be able to remove the child from the seat immediately in case of emergency. You have to teach the child not to play with the buckle.

  38. Keep the child’s chair at a safe place away from children when not in use. Avoid placing heavy objects on the chair. Prevent contact of your vehicle chair with corrosive substances, for example acid from the battery.

  1. When the car does not have back seats.
  2. When all back seats are occupied by children less than or equal to 135 cm tall.
  3. When it is not possible to install all child restraints in the back seats.

In seats with: ISOFIX anchorages and Top Tether anchor points and 3-point belt (car’s seat belt).

The child seat must only be used in this seat IF it has ISOFIX anchorages, top tether points a lap and 3 points belt: diagonal (A) and abdominal (B).

WARNING! Do not use forward facing before the child’s age exceeds 15 months. If the vehicle is equipped with an active front seat airbag, DO NOT use the child seat in a rearward facing position.

INSTALLATION ISOFIX

  1. If your vehicle is not fitted with ISOFIX Insertion Aids as standard, clamp the two ISOFIX Insertion Aids (1), which are included in the scope of delivery of the seat , with the opening pointing upwards, to the two ISOFIX Fastening Points (2) of your vehicle. If you don’t have ISOFIX Insertion Aids (1), please ignore this step.
    NOTICE! The ISOFIX fastening points are located between the surface and the backrest of the vehicle seat.

  2. Press the ISOFIX Buttons (26) to push out the two ISOFIX Locking Arms (25) from the seat base.

  3. Push back the child safety seat until you hear a clicking sound then on both sides of the ISOFIX indicators turn into green safety color.

  4. Move the child safety seat backwards to against the vehicle seat, to confirm the child safety seat is firmly against the vehicle seat.

NOTICE! Release button towards each other to loosen the ISOFIX fastening points on both sides. Move the ISOFIX locking arms back into the seat base, it can protect ISOFIX.

TOP TETHER

  1. Pull out the top tether strap by pressing the Top Tether Adjuster (23) button.
  2. Pull the top tether long enough to hang the Top Tether Clip (24) on the fixed point, which is on the back of the vehicle seat.
  3. Make sure the top tether strap is tightened up and the Top Tether Adjuster (23) indicator turns into green.

ROTATION

  1. Pull the 360° Rotation Adjuster (11) with a finger, and rotate the seat shell.

  2. Rotate the seat shell so it is facing either forward or backward, depending on the height of your child, until it engages with a clicking sound.
    NOTICE! When installed in a forward-facing position with ISOFIX and top tether(76-105cm), function of rotation may be restricted.
    DANGER! When the seat is rotated to 90°, the user can place the child in this position, but user can not use this angle during driving.

  3. SEAT ANGLE The seat shell of the i-Tour can be used in 2-level positions facing forwards and used in 4 level positions facing backwards.

  4. Pull the Recline Handle (12) and pull the seat outward,then the seat can be adjusted. It can be adjusted to 2 positions for facing forwards facing use. Rotate the seat to the backwards direction, and the seat can be adjusted to fifth to eighth level.

  5. 40-87cm: Facing backward installation, use fifth level to the eighth level.

  6. 87-105cm: Facing backward installation, use fifth level.

  7. 76-105cm: Facing forward installation, use fourth level.

  8. 100-150cm: Facing forward installation, use first level.

NOTICE! In 76-105cm, the ECRS may not fit in all vehicles varied in models, recline angles can not match the vehicle seat when adjusting.

USING

  1. Loosen the Shoulder Straps (6) by pressing the Adjustment Botton (9) and pull both Shoulder Straps (6) forwards, loosening it as much as possible.
  2. Press Red Release Button (18) to open the Harness Buckle (7). Place the child in a child safety seat.
  3. Bring both Buckle Tongues (17). Lock buckle tongues in Harness Buckle (7), until they engage with a clicking sound.
  4. Pull the Headrest Height Adjuster (19), select the correct height of the Headrest (3) and engage it in a position that fits your child by releasing the adjuster.
  5. Adjust the Headrest (3) to the proper position. Make sure the distance between child’s shoulder and the bottom of the headrest is lower than one finger.

Pull the Crotch Strap (10) until the strap lies flat and snug on your child’s body. Make sure that the shoulder straps are slightly higher or equal to the child’s shoulders.
DANGER! Before each car journey, in order to ensure your child’s safety, make sure that the child safety seat is fastened in the ISOFIX Fastening Points (2) on both sides with the ISOFIX Locking Arms (25) and both ISOFIX Buttons (26) are fully green; The child safety seat is securely fastened; The harness of the child safety seat is fitted snugly to the child’s body without being constricting and should not be twisted; The Shoulder Straps (6) are correctly adjusted and the straps are not twisted; The Shoulder Pads (5) are in the correct position on your child’s body; The child safety seat is facing in the right direction for your child’s age/size; The Buckle Tongues (17) are inserted into the Harness Buckle (7).
DANGER! If your child tries to open the ISOFIX buttons or the red release button, stop immediately as soon as possible. Check whether the child safety seat is correctly fastened and ensure that your child is correctly secured. Explain to your child the dangers associated with their actions.

STORE 5-POINT HARNESS

Once the child reaches a height of 100cm, the 5-point safety harness should be stored away and the child should be secured with the adult safety belt.

  1. Open the Harness Buckle (7) as shown. Remove the newborn cushion (15) and the Crotch Pad (8).
  2. Loosen Shoulder Straps (6).
  3. Open Seat Cover (4). Re-connect the Harness Buckle (7). Hide Shoulder Straps (6) under the cover and hide the Harness Buckle (7) to the storage.
    WARNING! Remove the additional seat cover accordingly when your baby is above 87cm. Reattach the 5-point harness: Follow the steps for (store 5-point harness) in reverse order.

USING THE CHILD SAFETY SEAT

  • Facing backwards (40-105cm) Installation
    Install the child safety seat with ISOFIX+Top Tether.Hang the Top Tether Clip (24) on the fixed point, which on the back of the vehicle seat, the position of the fixed point are shown in the
    picture 7.

  • Facing forwards (76-105cm) Installation
    Install the child safety seat with ISOFIX+Top Tether Hang the Top Tether Clip (24) on the fixed point, which on the back of the vehicle seat, the position of the fixed point are shown in the picture
    DANGER!For the safety of your child, the top tether must be tightened up during driving.

  • Facing forwards (100-150cm) Installation
    Store 5-point harness Install the child safety seat with ISOFIX+adult safety belt. If you don’t have ISOFIX, please ignore this step. Install the child safety seat with an adult safety belt only.
    Pull out the belt from the belt ALR (Automatic Locking Retractor ). The shoulder belt through the same side of Belt Guidance (14) on the headrest, then pull the shoulder belt and lap belt together through the other Belt Guidance (16) on the seat base.
    Lock the tip of the buckle into the vehicle seat buckle with a clicking sound. Follow the direction of arrow to tighten belt, and put the redundant belt into ALR. Shake the child safety seat to
    make sure it is securely attached.
    NOTICE! Keep the shoulder belt at the position of belt guidance between the outside of the neck and shoulder (in the middle of point a and point b).
    WARNING! The adult safety belt must not be twisted or have their places changed over.
    NOTICE! The importance of ensuring that any lap belt is worn low down so that the pelvis is firmly engaged shall be stressed.TIP!The shoulder belt section must run diagonally backward.
    You can adjust the course of the belt with your vehicle’s ALR on both sides

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE SEAT COVER

Only use authentic i-Tour Seat Cover (4). The Seat Cover (4) is an integral part of the child safety seat and is key to ensuring the trouble-free functionality of the system. The Shoulder Pads (5)Seat Cover (4) and newborn cushion(15) can be washed in luke warm soapy water. Remove all foam parts from the top and bottom sections before washing. These must not be washed.

  1. Open the Harness Buckle (7) as shown. Remove Crotch Pad (8).
  2. Lift the seat cover, pull down the Harness Buckle (7) across Seat Cover (4).
  3. Rotate the metal plate on crotch straps from (F) by 90° vertically.

Slide the metal plate through the harness slot in the way (E) lies in a horizontal position, then Harness Buckle (7) can take out from slot (D).
To re-install Harness Buckle (7) follow the steps in reverse order, until the metal plate is hooked into the harness slot.Thread the Harness Buckle (7) through the Crotch Pad (8) on the cover. Make sure the metal plate under slot (F) when you are using.
CAUTION! Tug hard on the crotch strap to make sure that it is secure in the seat shell.

To ensure the safety of your child, the Harness Buckle (7) must continue to function correctly. Harness Buckle (7) malfunctions are usually caused by a build-up of soiling or by external objects:
When you press the Red Release Button (18), it takes a long time for the Buckle Tongues(17) to be ejected.

  • The Buckle Tongues(17) no longer engage when you try to push them in, they pop out again).

  • The Buckle Tongues(17) engage without a clicking sound.

  • The Buckle Tongues(17) are difficult to push in (you feel a certain amount of resistance).

  • The Buckle Tongues(17) only opens if extreme force is applied.
    Remedy : Soak the harness buckle in warm water containing washing-up liquid for at least an hour. Rinse the buckle thoroughly and dry it.

  • The plastic parts and the harnesses can be cleaned with soapy water. Do not use any caustic cleaning agents (such as solvents).
