SPORTTAPE B07NDCXWBG EAB Fabric Strapping Tape 2.5CM × 4.5M
THUMB RESTRICTION
PURPOSE
Provides stability to your thumb, by preventing hyperextension.
- Start taping from the palm, aiming up between the palm and index finger. Bring the tape around the back of the thumb.
- Angle the tape down towards the wrist.
- Wrap the tape underneath the wrist, angling it back towards your starting position.
- Repeat this pattern 2-3 more times, to achieve the necessary restriction.
BUDDY TAPING
PURPOSE
Splint two fingers together to reduce the chances of sprains and breaks caused
by ‘jammed fingers’ when catching a ball.
- Starting below the knuckle. Stick the tape on the inside of the finger and wrap around.
- Place your second finger tightly against the first.
- Continue to wrap both fingers 2-3 times.
- Repeat at the top of the finger to create 2 points of splinting.
TURF TOE
PURPOSE
Restrict painful extension of the big toe.
- Start on the inside of the big toe, angling down towards the underneath of the toe.
- Wrap the toe twice, pulling the tape downwards each time to restrict toe extension.
- Bring the tape over the top of the foot, and wrap around the foot.
- Wrap the tape 1-2 more times around the foot, finishing on the top of the foot.
WRIST & HAND SUPPORT
- EAB 5CM
- ZINC OXIDE TAPE 3.8CM (Optional)
PURPOSE
Provides stability to your wrist, by preventing extension.
- Starting from the back of the hand, wrap your EAB around the wrist, directly over the joint line.
- Complete 2 full rotations around the wrist then bring the tape across the back of the hand, aiming between the thumb and index finger.
- Bring the tape across the palm and back under the wrist.
- Repeat the wrap 2-3 times, then check the level of restriction is sufficient. If not, reinforce with ZINC OXIDE TAPE.
ANKLE SUPPORT
PURPOSE
Provide structural support to prevent ankle inversion.
- Flex the foot. Start taping from the top of the foot, bringing the tape under the arch and back to the top of the foot.
- Bring the tape around the back of the ankle, coming back to your starting position.
- Come back under the foot, angling the tape towards the heel. Bring the tape over the achilles.
- Wrap the tape 1-2 more times around the ankle, finishing at the bottom of the calf.
COMPRESSION
PURPOSE
Provides compression to bumps and bruises.
- Starting below the affected area, wrap in an upwards direction.
- Stretch the tape as you apply it, to achieve comfortable compression.
- Continue to wrap the area, covering the swelling or injury. Then check circulation.
- Press skin; normal colour should return in 1-2 seconds. If not, reapply with less tension.
KNEE SUPPORT
PURPOSE
Protect the MCL and provide stability to the knee.
- If needed, apply Zinc Oxide Tape in an X pattern over the MCL.
- Starting on the quad, aim the EAB diagonally down across the line of the MCL
- Wrap the EAB around the back of the calf twice, then bring it back over the MCL in an X pattern.
- Wrap the tape back around the quad, then repeat the shape if needed for extra support.
ELBOW SUPPORT
PURPOSE
Prevent hyperextension of the elbow.
- Flex the elbow to the desired level of restriction. Then, if needed, apply Zinc Oxide Tape in an X pattern
- Aim the EAB diagonally down, across the centre of the elbow.
- Wrap the EAB around the back of the forearm, then bring it back over the front of the elbow in an X pattern.
- Wrap the tape around the upper arm, then repeat the shape if needed for extra support.
LIFTING BLOCKS
PURPOSE
Secure Lifting Blocks to your leg, ready to get airborne in a line out.
- Sitting down with your knee at 90, place the lifting block on the front of your upper leg.
- Stretch the EAB and place it down directly over your Lifting Block.
- Wrap the EAB around your leg 2- 3 times to secure the Lifting Block in place.
- Reinforce the block position by wrapping Sock Tape circumferentially above and below the block.

SEEK MEDICAL ADVICE
If you’re injured, get assessed by a medical professional before applying tape. -
TEST FOR IRRITATION
Our tape is latex free and uses a skin-friendly zinc oxide glue. However, your skin is a complex organ so we would always recommend applying a small test patch before first use. If irritation occurs please remove immediately. -
CHOOSE THE BEST APPLICATION
This guide contains our 3 most popular taping applications using 7.5cm EAB. For more, scan the QR code on the reverse. -
HOW LONG WILL IT LAST?
You should expect it to withstand the heat of competition. It’s sweat-proof but not waterproof. We recommend you reapply every 24hrs.
OUR TOP TAPING TIPS
GET THIS RIGHT
- Clean and dry your fingers before application. Moisturisers and oils are a tapes’ worst nightmare.
- Never over-tighten. Check the sensation and circulation in your fingers after application.
- Have a play. Practise your application and don’t be afraid to adjust it to suit your needs.
- Give yourself time. Apply the tape at least 30 mins before the action starts.
REMOVAL
Please take care when removing tape. Keep skin taut and peel the tape away in
reverse. If necessary, use blunt-edged scissors.

HOW TO APPLY NON TEAR EAB
Elastic Adhesive bandage is the perfect blend of strength and flexibility. It cannot be ripped by hand, so you’ll need a pair of blunt-edged scissors to apply.
-
Wrap the tape around the area circumferentially, leaving the last 10cm hanging loose on the roll, away from your skin.
-
Cut the EAB using a pair of blunt-edged scissors close to the roll.
- Press the tape down firmly, and secure with a small strip of ZINC OXIDE TAPE for additional security.
WHEN NOT TO USE NON TEAR EAB
- Never apply to broken or fragile skin.
- Never tape an area that is unstable or severely swollen.
- Don’t tape without a full, professional injury diagnosis.
WARNING – These instructions are not meant to replace professional medical advice. Always seek the advice of your doctor or qualified sports practitioner. Do not use if you are being treated for cancer, have poor circulation, fragile skin, open wounds or are diabetic. Do not use on the abdomen if pregnant. Keep out of reach of children. Discontinue use if skin becomes irritated. Warranties and remedies are limited to replacement cost. Date of issue 01/01/24.
