Installation instruction
- Step 1: Assemble the roof rack. Install the short crossbar into the front faring. First, place the Tee Sliding Slot Nuts inside the grooves of the short aluminum bars, align them with the holes on the front faring, and secure them using M610 screws and M612*1 flat washers.
- Step 2 : Connect the side rails and the long aluminum bars, and fasten them with M8*16 screws.
- Step 3 : Next, mount the front and rear fairings. To do this, use the Button Head Socket Cap Bolts Screws (M820), Flat Washer (M820*1.5), Flange Hex Lock Nuts (M8). When mounting the front fairing, adjust it all the way up to avoid contact with the roof and leave the bolts loose enough to be able to make adjustments once it is on the roof of the vehicle.
- Step 4: Before installing the brackets, it is necessary to differentiate between the front and rear brackets. The front bracket is larger than the rear bracket, and the rear bracket is not specific to the left or right side. For distinguishing the left and right sides of the front bracket, please refer to the diagram below.
- Step 5 : Put the eva into the mounting brackets.
- Step 6 : Install the mounting brackets into the assembled roof rack, using M8*20 screws and then screw in the screws without over-tightening.
- Step 7 : Note the position of the installation brackets with a marking pen.
- Step 8: According to the marks, drill eight installation holes total. Then use the pneumatic riveting nut gun with 6mm nut chuck to install the eight riveting nuts.
- Step 9 : Next, screw the M6*40 bolt into the pre-drilled holes, securing the roof rack onto the roof.
- Step 10: After adjusting the roof rack to the appropriate height, tighten the screws on the mounting brackets.
- Step 11: The installation is complete. We hope you enjoy a wonderful off-road life with this quality Hooke Road product!
