BASIC BUTTON OPERATIONS

Home button| Turn on your ps4 system (when the ps4 system is either off or rest mode) Display the home screen (when the ps4 system is turned on)

BASIC TOUCHPAD GESTURES
You can use the touchpad and touchpad and the touchpad buttons for various system functions, available functions depend on the content in use.

Tap Briefly touch the touchpad
Double Tap twice in rapid succession
Drag Drag your finger while touching the touchpad, and then lift your

finger
Flick| Touch the touchpad then quickly move your finger off the touchpad
Touch and hold| Touch and do not lift your finger
Pinch in and pinch out| Place two fingers on the touchpad and move them closer together or further apart
Click| Press the touchpad button
Double-click| Press the touchpad button twice in rapid succession

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

Reset to factory default mode
Use a paper clip or a safety pin to reset the controller. Insert and press the Reset Button on the rear of the controller.
Firmware update instructions

  1. Please visit www.Gioteck.com/Firmware
  2. Select VX4 Wireless from the list of controllers
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions, and click on “Download Latest Firmware”

NOTICE

If the update failed on update processing, please re-update again using the following instructions;

  1. Double click “Firmware update tool”
  2. Click “BT” to select
  3. Press “d pad-down” key and “triangle” key and the “Reset” key [on the rear of the controller) at the same time. Whilst held down, connect the USB cable between the controller and a computer.
  4. Click the “update” key to start the controller re-update;
  5. Close the “Firmware update tool” software and unplug the cable to complete the update.

The controller should now work normally

CHANGING SETTINGS
To change speaker volume and other controller settings. select(settings) from the screen, and then select[devices]>[controllers].
Depending on the game or application. you might hear audio sound effects from the controller’s speaker
To change the speaker volume and related settings, you can also press and hold the home button and then select [adjust sound and devices] from the quick menu that appears.

SETUP CONTROLLER

PS4™ (via wired USB)

  • The first time you use the controller or when you want to use the controller on another PlayStation 4™ system, you must pair the controller. Turn on the PS4™ system and connect the controller with the cable provided. Press and hold
  • the Home button for 3 seconds, and then select a user to complete pairing.

PC ( via wired USB)

  • As the primary use for the VX-4 is the PS4™, it is set up for X-input out of the box.
  • For PC connectivity, using the cable as a “wired” gamepad is advised. Simply connect to your PC via the cable provided.

PC (with Bluetooth]

For wireless Bluetooth™ connectivity, navigate to “Bluetooth 6 Devices” in Windows settings. Press and hold the “Home Button” and “Share” buttons on your controller for 5 seconds until the LEDs repeatedly blink twice. The controller is now in “pair” mode. Select “Add Bluetooth device” on your PC and select “Bluetooth” from the available drop-down menu. You will see “wireless controller” available in the options. Select this, and wait for Windows to set up the device.

PC (Steam)

  • If using Steam to load your PC game, the controller will not need any further configuration. Simply open Steam in “Big Picture mode”, and your controller will operate as expected.
  • Some older PC games may require a □-input connection. To change the controller to □-Input, please plug the controller in and press and hold “Options” and “Share” for 5 seconds. To revert to X-lnput [standard PC function] simply press and hold the same button combination for 5 seconds.

PC (disconnect]

  • To disconnect the controller at any point, press and hold the “Home button” and “Share” button for 3 seconds.

PROGRAMMING THE CONTROLLER

  1. Ensure the rear “Off /On” switch is set to “On” position.
  2. Press and hold the “Set” button for 3 seconds until the LED on the front of the controller flashes repeatedly.
  3. Whilst the LEDs are flashing, press the chosen “command” button [such as R2) once.
  4. Press the chosen “function” button on the back of the controller once.
  5. The LED will stop flashing. This will have successfully mapped your chosen command button to the function button.
    To remove the command button, press and hold the “set” button for 6 seconds

LIMITED WARRANTY

  • Freemode Go warrants to the original consumer purchaser that the product will be free from defects in materials and/or workmanship for the length of time specified in the warranty period from the date of purchase as set forth at gioteck.com/support. If a defect covered by this warranty occurs during the warranty period, Freemode Go at its option will repair or replace, at no charge, any part that Freemode Go deems is defective.
  • This warranty shall not apply if the product has been damaged by abuse, misuse, negligence, accident, modification, tampering or by any cause unrelated to defective materials and/or workmanship. Repair or replacement as provided under the warranty is the exclusive prerogative of Free mode Go. To obtain warranty services, under certain circumstances, you may be required to return the item to Freemode Go for inspection and evaluation. You will be required to provide valid proof of purchase, including the price paid and the date the product was purchased for Freemode Go to determine the warranty status. Products purchased from unauthorized dealers, such as marketplaces i.e. eBay and
  • Facebook are excluded from this warranty.
  • In no event shall Freemode Go be accountable for incidental damages resulting from the breach of any different additional legal rights, including longer warranty periods, which vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction. Use and handling

  • Before use, check that there is plenty of space around you.
  • When using the controller, grip it firmly and make sure it cannot slip out of your hand.
  • If using a controller that is connected to the PS4 system with a cable, make sure that the cable will not hit a person or object. Also, take care to avoid pulling out the cable from the ps4 system.

Exterior protection
Follow the instructions below to help prevent the product exterior from deteriorating or becoming discoloured.

  • Do not place any rubber or vinyl materials on the product exterior for an extended time. Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the product. Do not use solvents or other chemicals.
  • Do not wipe with a chemically treated cleaning cloth.

Charging the controller
With the PS4 system turned on or in rest mode, connect the controller to the console using the cable.
Battery life and duration

  • The battery has a limited lifespan. Battery duration will gradually decrease with repeated usage and age. Battery life also varies depending on the storage method, conditions of use and environmental factors.
  • Charge in an environment where the temperature range is between 10°C-30. Charging may not be as effective when performed in other environments.

When not in use

  • When the wireless controller is not used for an extended time, it is recommended that you fully charge it at least once a year to help maintain battery functionality.

When disposing of the wireless controller

  • The lithium-ion battery of the wireless controller is recyclable. When disposing of the wireless controller, remove the battery and follow local regulations regarding disposing of batteries.

Caution

  • Remove the battery in a location out of the reach of small children to help prevent accidental swallowing of small parts such as the screws.
  • Be careful not to hurt your nails or fingers when removing the controller casing.
  • For safety reasons, attach tape or a seal on the metal part of the battery before disposing.

NOTICE
Other than when disposing of the wireless controller, never remove the screws and never remove the battery from the wireless controller.

SAFETY

  • Do not handle damaged or leaking lithium-ion batteries.
  • If you come into contact with material from a leaking battery, take the following actions:
  • If the material gets into your eyes, do not rub, instead immediately flush your eyes with clean water and seek medical attention.
  • If the material comes into contact with the skin or clothes, immediately rinse the affected area with clean water. Consult your physician if inflammation or soreness develops.
  • Avoid prolonged use of this product. Take a break at about 30-minute intervals.
  • Stop using this unit immediately if you begin to feel tired or if you experience discomfort or pain in your hands or arms during use. If the condition persists consult a doctor.
  • This product is intended for use with your hands only, do not bring it into close contact with your head, face or the bones of any other part of the body.
  • The vibration function of this product can aggravate injuries, do not use the vibration function if you have any ailment or injury to the bones. Joints or muscles of your hands or arms. You can turn on or turn off the vibration function from [Settings) on the function screen.
  • Permanent hearing loss may occur if the headset or headphones are used at high volume. Set the volume to a safe level. Over time, increasingly loud audio may start to sound normal but can be damaging to your hearing. If you experience ringing or any discomfort in your ears or muffled speech, stop listening and have your hearing checked. The louder the volume, the sooner your hearing could be affected. To protect your hearing:
  • Limit the amount of time you use a headset or headphones at high volume.
  • Avoid raising the volume to block out noisy surroundings.
  • Lower the volume if you can’t hear people speaking near you.
  • Do not stare at the light on the controller when it is blinking, if you experience discomfort or pain anywhere in or on your body from light stimulation, stop using it immediately.
  • Never disassemble or modify the product.
  • Do not expose the product to high temperatures, high humidity or direct sunlight.
  • Do not allow the product to come into contact with liquids.
  • Do not put heavy objects on the product.
  • Do not throw or drop the product or subject it to strong physical shock.
  • Do not touch the ports or insert any foreign objects into them.
