IMPORTANT instruction
- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge, only if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are old than 8 years and supervised.
- Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.
- The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.
- The temperature of the outer surface may be high when the appliance is working. Please do not touch outer surface by your hand.
- Keep this instruction manual, the packing and your receipt. If you give or sell the product to a third party, please make sure that you also hand out this instruction manual.
- This appliance is for household use only.
- This appliance is for indoor use only. Do not use the appliance outdoors, keep it away from sources of heat, direct sunlight, open fire or high humidity and never operate it with wet hands.
- Always pull the plug out from the power socket when you do not use the appliance, and clean it after each usage.
- Never leave the appliance unattended, protecting children from the dangers posed by electrical appliances. Make sure that the cord does not hang over and children do not touch the appliance.
- Never immerse the appliance into water or other liquids.
- Never use the appliance if it is damaged.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
- Do not try to repair the appliance on your own, always contact our service agent to repair or change the appliance.
WARNING : This electrical appliance contains heating function surfaces, which are hot when using, also further part of the appliance can be hot. Since temperatures are differently perceived by different persons, this equipment shall be used with CAUTION. The equipment shall be touch only at intended handles and gripping surfaces, and use heat protection like gloves. Surfaces other than intended gripping surfaces shall get sufficiently time to the cool down before getting touched.
Always operate the appliance on an even, horizontal surface. Make sure that
there is enough ventilation, so that the hot steam can disappear.
The outer surface of the appliance can be hot when it is working. Please do
not touch outer surface by you hand.
To avoid the danger of fire, never leave the appliance unattended.
Before connecting with power supply, the heating plates must be in a closed
position.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
- Uncoil the cable completely. Please pay attention the cable not to touch the grill plates!
- Check the heating plates to be clean and dust-free. If necessary, wipe them with a little damp cloth.
- Place the appliance on a flat level surface.
- Connect the plug into rated voltage. Adjust the temperature by the button. The grill plate begins pre-heating and the red and green lamp will be illuminated at the same time. As soon as the grill plate has reached the preset temperature (usually it will take about 2~3 minutes), the green lamp will not be illuminated and the appliance is ready to grill.
- Open the appliance and place the food on the lower plate. Of course, you can also open the product by 180 degrees (by the button on the back of the right side of the appliance), so on the upper and lower plates at the same time you can put food for grilling. Deep-frozen food should be completely defrosted prior to grilling.
- Close the appliance. During using, the indicator lamp will on and off due to automatic temperature control.
- During the grilling, excess fat will flow through the drain holes into the drip tray.
- After grilling, open the appliance to remove your food with a wooden or plastic spatula.
- After using, pull out the plug and open the upper lid, and let the appliance get cool.
CAUTION
- As the difference of food type, thickness or taste, the grilling time is about 5-8 minutes.
- For the very first usage, make the appliance heating without any food for about 5- 10 minutes. There may be slight smoke or smell. This is normal and harmless.
- During the operating process, the red lamp will be always light on.
- If too much food is loaded in the appliance and it cannot be closed, never close it with undue force as this could damage the appliance. Generally, the thickness of the food should not exceed 2 cm.
- Never use fork, knife or other sharp utensils to remove the food as this would damage the non-stick coating of grilling surface. Use wood or heat-resistant plastic utensils only.
- Always unplug the appliance from the power socket when not in use.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
- Be aware that parts of the appliance become very hot during operation. Unplug and wait for it to completely cool down before cleaning or storage.
- Wipe the grill plate with a soft damp cloth every time after use. If it is difficult to remove residues, little oil can soften them.
- Empty and clean the drip tray after each use. (Can be pulled out from the back of the appliance.)
- Never use too much water to clean the appliance and never immerse it into water or other liquids.
- Do not use degreasing spray, scouring agents, sharp tools or abrasive sponges, as this may damage the non-stick coating or the outer surface of the appliance.
- In case of any problem, please contact the authorized service center for help.
