Important safety instructions

  • Follow all instructions.
  • Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel.
  • Do not expose the unit to dripping or splashing and make sure that no objects filled with liquids, such as vases, are placed on it.
  • Heat – The appliance should be put away from heat sources such as radiators, heat, registers, stoves or other appliances (including amplifiers) that produce heat.
  • Class I appliances must be connected to the mains socket outlet with a protective earth connection.
  • The mains plug connects the device and should remain operable during use.
  • To disconnect the unit from the mains, the plug should be fully disconnected from the mains socket outlet. The mains plug should not be obstructed and should be easily accessible during use.
  • When a power indicator light is on, it indicates the unit is connected to the mains supply. When the light is off, it indicates the unit is fully disconnected from the mains supply.
  • Contact the manufacturer if the unit is subject to damage or exhibits a decline in performance.

  • RCA cable (to connect with main unit) 1 pc.
  • AC adaptor (100V ~ 240V, 50/60 HZ) for turntable only to connect with main unit 1 pc.

Connection

  • Use the provided RCA cable to connect the phono line out jack (13) & match Red (R) & White (L) with main unit (amplifier) line in jack.
  • Connect the supplied AC adaptor to the DC 12V jack (15) & plug in the power supply

Precautions

  • Ensure all connections are correct before plugging the unit into power supply.
  • Please read & follow the instruction carefully before connecting.
  • Be sure to connect the AC adaptor at the correct voltage (AC 100V ~ 240 Hz, 50/60 Hz), Only use the own package provided.
  • Wrong voltage could cause fire, short circuit or electric shock.

SPEAKER

Connect a pair of speakers with the unit via the SPEAKER output R, L jack (24) in rear panel of MAIN UNIT (Amplifier).

TURNTABLE

INSTALL THE TURNTABLE

  1. Unpack your GPO PR100 and remove the platter from its cardboard box.
  2. Ensure that the elastic band around the interior rim of the platter is not twisted and that it is flush with the platter’s base.
  3. Unpack the base unit and place it on a flat, stable surface.
  4. Holding the platter with the flat side down, place a finger through one of the larger holes and stretch the elastic band around this finger (see image below left).
  5. Holding the platter with the flat side up, place a finger through the same hole and stretch the elastic band around this finger. This will help you attach it to the drive shaft.   6. Gently lower the platter onto the central spindle of the base unit, ensuring that the elastic band is stretched over the drive shaft.
  7. Gently release the elastic band and remove your finger from the hole. The band should now be securely attached to the drive shaft.GPO PR100 Premium Series Vinyl Turntable-FIG5
  8. Remove the ties securing the tone arm.
  9. Plug the supplied AC adaptor into the base unit and into a wall socket.
  10. Use the provided RCA cable to connect the base unit to the amplifiers.
  11. Place a vinyl record onto the turntable.
  12. Turn the unit on using the Power On/Standby button.
  13. Select PHONO and the correct record speed.
  14. Auto-Stop, ON & OFF
    • Set the button to “OFF” , there will be no movement.
    • Set the button to “Auto-Stop”, turntable will automatically stop when the end of the record is reached for 33 rpm records.
    • Set the button to “ON’ , turntable will keep moving for both 33 rpm & 45 rpm records
  15. Release the tone arm holder, lift using the lever and move it to your preferred location on the vinyl.
  16. Gently lower the tone arm to begin playback.
  17. If the turntable does not spin, ensure that the elastic band is correctly attached to the drive shaft as shown in the image above.

POWER SOURCE

This unit is designed to operate on a normal AC 100V ~ 240V, 50/60 Hz household power supply. Do not attempt to operate the system using other power sources. This may result in damage to the unit and void your warranty.

LISTENING TO RECORDS

  1. Ensure the unit is placed on a flat surface.

  2. Carefully open the turntable lid.

  3. Press On/Standby button on rear panel of turntable to operate. The Bluetooth light flashes on bottom right corner of turntable.

  4. Select PHONO / EQ THRU ‘On’ (14) on rear of unit.

  5. Place a record on turntable over the central spindle (Place the 45 RPM adapter over the central spindle when playing 45-RPM vinyl).

  6. Set the Speed Selector to 33 or 45 RPM according to the record.

  7. Auto-Stop, ON & OFF

    • Set the button to “OFF” , there will be no movement.
    • Set the button to “Auto-Stop”, turntable will automatically stop when the end of the record is reached for 33 rpm records.
    • Set the button to “ON’ , turntable will keep moving for both 33 rpm & 45 rpm records
  8. Release the tone arm holder & remove the protective cap form the stylus

  9. Lift the tone arm from its rest with the tone arm lift lever (4).

  10. Gently lower the tone arm to the beginning of the record, or to the start of a particular track.

  11. When the record is finished the tonearm will automatically stop. Lift the tonearm form the record and put it back on the rest.

  12. To stop manually, lift the tonearm from the record and return it to the rest.
    TO FINISH

  13. Turn the power off on the back panel.

  14. Replace the protective cap on the stylus when not in use.

  15. Slightly close the turntable cover.

BLUETOOTH PAIRING: TRANSMITTER

The PR 100 includes a Bluetooth Transmitter enabling the transmission of sound from the PR100 to other Bluetooth speakers.

  1. Before Pairing, switch on the Bluetooth receiver on the external speaker and ensure its open for pairing.
  2. Press the Bluetooth button on PR 100 unit (11) and hold for two seconds.
  3. Bluetooth Power Indicator Light (10) will flash rapidly when attempting to Pair.
  4. This light (10) will light constant when the PR 100 unit is paired successfully with the external speaker.
  5. Press the Bluetooth button (11) to exit.

PHONO

Select PHONO / EQ THRU ON (14) on rear of unit when amplifier has no Phono inputs.

PITCH ADJUSTMENT

The PITCH ADJUST function (9) enables fine adjustment of the vinyl playing speed once the correct RPM (33/45) is chosen. Turn the Pitch Adjust Control to carefully increase or decrease the speed of the turntable as required.

CARE FOR STYLUS

Please handle the stylus with care to avoid damage to the vinyl and to maintain the sound quality.
