Product Usage Instructions

  • Before First Use
    • For a perfect taste, perform 2 or 3 boiling processes with fresh water (without coffee). After all the water has passed through, switch off the appliance and let it cool down for 5 minutes. Repeat the process with fresh water.
  • Making Coffee
    • If you want to make more coffee straight away after making one cup, switch off the coffee maker and allow at least 5 minutes for it to cool down before refilling the water tank.
  • Cleaning
    • Descaling: Regularly descale the coffee maker using vinegar and follow the manufacturer’s instructions to remove scale build-up.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

  • Always disconnect the appliance from the supply if it is left unattended and before assembling, disassembling, or cleaning.
  • This appliance shall not be used by children. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children.
  • Appliances can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved.
  • Children shall not play with the appliance.
  • If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or similarly qualified persons to avoid a hazard.

  • Any other type of usage (industrial) is prohibited.
  • Only assemble and use this device based on the user manual’s instructions.
  • Unplug from the outlet when not in use, before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning.
  • Do not use outdoors.
  • Do not use harsh abrasives and strong cleaning agents when cleaning this appliance.
  • Clean this device only with a dry or moist cloth, making sure it is unplugged. Never immerse the appliance in water.
  • When using this appliance, allow adequate air space above and on all sides for air circulation. Do not allow this appliance to touch curtains, wall coverings, clothing, dishtowels, or other flammable materials during usage.
  • CAUTION is required on surfaces where heat may cause a problem – an insulated heat pad is recommended.
  • Do not let the cord contact the hot surface, including the stove.
  • Do not let the cord hang over the edge of the table or counter.
  • Do not operate the appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions, or is dropped or damaged in any manner. Return the appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair, or electrical or mechanical adjustment.
  • The heating plate is hot when in operation. Do not touch as there is a severe burn risk.

PROTECTING FUNCTION
Automatic-off protection – the machine will turn off automatically when it has been switched on for 40 minutes.

BEFORE FIRST USE
For a perfect taste, carry out 2 or 3 boiling processes with fresh water (without coffee). Once all the water has passed through, switch off the appliance and let it cool down for 5 minutes. Then repeat the process with fresh water.

MAKING COFFEE

  • Fill the water tank with the required quantity of water.
  • Ensure that the water level is not lower than the minimum mark and not higher than the indication “MAX”. Use fresh, cold water only. The number of cups can be found on the water tank.
  • Insert a new filter (paper size “1X4”) and fill in the desired quantity of ground coffee.
  • Switch on the appliance and wait until the brewing process is finished and the funnel has run empty.
  • For large cups: take 5-6 grams of ground coffee per cup.

MAKING MORE COFFEE STRAIGHT AWAY?
If you have made one cup of coffee and wish to make some more straight away, please switch off the coffee maker and allow at least 5 minutes for it to cool down. Then you can refill the water tank.

CLEANING

  • Always remove the main plug from the wall socket before cleaning the appliance.
  • Never immerse the appliance in water.
  • You should clean it with a damp cloth.
  • The carafe the filter and the funnel can be washed in hot water with soap.

DESCALING

  • Describe your coffee maker regularly.
  • Operate the appliance as described in this manual. However, now use ordinary vinegar to fill the water tank, and do not fill the funnel with ground coffee.
  • After descaling let the device work twice more with only water to rinse away the vinegar and scale remainders.
