Getting started

  • Open the battery compartment cover (6) and insert 2 AAA batteries according to the correct polarity. Close the cover.
  • Press and hold the power button (4) for 2 seconds to turn the device on/off.

Usage

If the device gets moved, it is necessary to wait for the readings to stabilize.

  • Press and hold the FUNC button (3) for more than 2 seconds to switch between °C and °F.
  • Press the FUNC button (3) to display the ambient temperature, wet bulb temperature, or dew point.
  • Press the MAX/MIN button (2) to display stored temperature and humidity extremes.
  • The device turns off automatically after 30 minutes of inactivity. To disable this feature, press and hold the MAX/MIN button (2) and press the power button (4) while turning on the device. To restore the function, turn the device off and on again.
  • Press the power button (4) to turn on the backlight for 30 seconds.

Care and maintenance

Read this manual carefully before starting or using the device. Do not use the device if it is damaged or does not operate properly. Replace the battery as soon as the low battery indicator lights up. Wipe the body regularly with detergent or a damp cloth with detergent. Do not use solvent to clean the device. Store the device in a dry cool place. Protect the device from sudden impact and excessive mechanical force. Never attempt to operate a damaged device or a device with damaged electrical parts! Only use accessories and spare parts for this device that comply with the technical specifications. If a part of the device or battery is swallowed, seek medical attention immediately.

Battery safety instructions

Always purchase the correct size and grade of battery most suitable for the intended use. Always replace the whole set of batteries
at one time; taking care not to mix old and new ones, or batteries of different types. Clean the battery contacts and also those of the device prior to battery installation. Make sure the batteries are installed correctly with regard to polarity (+ and –). Remove batteries from equipment that is not to be used for an extended period of time. Remove used batteries promptly. Never short-circuit batteries as this may lead to high temperatures, leakage, or explosion. Never heat batteries in order to revive them. Do not disassemble batteries. Remember to switch off device after use. Keep batteries out of the reach of children, to avoid risk of ingestion, suffocation, or poisoning. Utilize used batteries as prescribed by your country’s laws.
