Product Usage Instructions
Direct Pulp Capping:
- Isolate the field of operation.
- Clean the surface with abrasive paste and remove glaze surface.
- Apply Protective Dam Gel to protect surrounding areas.
- Apply Porcelain Etching on the chipped surface and leave for 180 sec.
- Blend Protective Dam Gel with the acid, suction, rinse & dry.
- Apply silane Primer Adhesive using a micro-brush applicator.
- Allow Primer Adhesive to evaporate for 20 sec and air dry if needed.
- Light cure for 20 sec.
- Complete restoration using composites and chosen techniques.
Important Note:
To avoid inhalation of irritating Porcelain Etching vapors, hold the vacuum
in close proximity to the area being prepped.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
PURPOSE
Cera-Fix Etching set is used for preparing porcelain veneers, inlays and fractured porcelain teeth for bonding. Cera-Fix Porcelain repair kit contains all the products needed for composite-to-porcelain, porcelain-to-metal, and porcelain-to-porcelain repairs.
INDICATIONS
- Conditioning of the ceramic veneers and glass-fiber posts.
- Surface preparation for optimal bonding of the porcelain veneers.
- Aesthetic repair of fractured porcelain crowns.
- Surface preparation of porcelain crowns and inlays prior cementation.
FEATURES
- Cera-Fix Porcelain Etching: Based on 9% hydrofluoric acid. Specifically designed to etch fractured dental porcelain, such as veneers, crowns, inlays. Can also be used in orthodontics for etching porcelain crowns before bonding.
- Cera-Fix Protective Dam Gel : A buffered, gelled acid barrier/neutralizer protects soft tissues and adjacent restorations by neutralizing acid etchants upon contact. The bright orange color provides high contrast against tissues and acid etchants.
- Cera-Fix Primer Adhesive : Universal light-cured bonding with an ethanol solvent carrier. Ideal for direct and indirect bonding procedures and repairs of composite, metal, zirconia and porcelain restorations.
- Cera-Fix Opaque Masking: Light-cured, methacrylate-based, composite pigment, with an average particle size of 0.7μm and a low film thickness. It is strong and wear resistant and is effective at masking metal surfaces and natural dentine color imitations.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Direct Pulp Capping:
- Isolate the field of operation.
- Clean the surface to be etched with abrasive paste (DSI Diamond Paste Coarse) and removed the glaze surface by fine diamond bur or 50mkm aluminum oxide sandblasting. Rinse and air-dry.
- Apply a thin layer of the Protective Dam Gel on the mucosa and the restoration surrounding area to protect from the acid implant.
- Apply Porcelain Etching on the chipped surface. Leave undisturbed for 180 sec.
- Blend the Protective Dam Gel with the acid, suction, rinse & dry.
- Etched porcelain should have a frosted white appearance. Repeat if the surface does not appear frosted.
- Using the micro-brush applicator, apply the silane Primer Adhesive and allow it to evaporate for 20 sec. Air dry if needed.
- Preparation should receive a shiny appearance. Light cure for 20 sec.
- For surfaces with exposed metal, apply a thin coat of Opaque Masking. Light cure for 40 sec. More than one layer might be needed for a full metal concealing – repeat if necessary.
- Complete the restoration using composites and techniques of your choice.

STORAGE
- Store in a dry and dark place in tightly closed containers at temperature (+5°C…+25°C).
- Resins should be refrigerated for long-term storage to maintain shelf life.
- Replace the cap immediately after use. Avoid contact with moisture!
- After opening, keep only in original container.
- Do not use after the expiry date mentioned on the outer package.
