The DSI Formocresol is designed for use in medical institutions. It is

Warnings
Formocresol contains formaldehyde, which can be toxic by inhalation or
ingestion. Contact with the skin may cause irritation, burns, or
hypersensitivity. If contact occurs, wipe off thoroughly with cotton and
alcohol, then wash well with soap and water. In case of skin rash,
sensitization, or allergic reactions, discontinue use and seek medical
attention. If the product comes into contact with the eyes, rinse thoroughly
with fresh water and consult a physician.

DSI Formocresol
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
PURPOSE: The product must be used in medical institution.
Used for root canals disinfection, highly efficient in vital pulpotomy due to
its antibacterial activity. Being more mild than arsenic paste, it’s often
used in pediatric dentistry.
COMPOSITION
- 19% Formaldehyde, 35% Cresol, Glycerine and Isopropyl alcohol 46%.
- 48.5% Formaldehyde, 48.5% Cresol, 3% Glycerine – Classic formula.
DIRECTION FOR USE:

Immediate treatment:
After the coronal pulp extraction, cotton/wool pellet with Formocresol is placed directly on the wound. After 5 minutes, the tampon is removed and cavity is covered with ZOE material (DSI Zoer) and permanently filled. -
Prolonged treatment:
Cotton pellet/turunda with Formocresol is placed on pulp extraction site and covered with the provisional cavity filler (DSI Temp) for one week. After that, tampon is removed, cavity filled with ZOE material (DSI Zoer) and permanently filled.

STORAGE
Store in a dry place (humidity < 50%) in tightly closed containers
(+5°C…+25°C). Always replace the bottle cap immediately after use.
Avoid contact with moisture and direct sunlight!
