Product Usage Instructions

Installation

Ensure installation and commissioning are done by a qualified electrician following national safety regulations.
Mount the luminaire securely on the ceiling at the specified distance apart of 160 mm.
Connect the luminaire to the mains using the 2 cable entries provided for through-wiring.

Operation

Ensure the mains power supply is within the specified range of 220-240 V x 0/50-60 Hz DC 176-264 V.
If DALI-controlling set the appropriate DALI address for control.
Activate the luminaire using the designated switch or control system.

Q: What should I do if the luminaire is not turning on?

Installation

Pass the power connecting cable through the cable entry in the mounting plate.
Fix the mounting plate with enclosed or any other suitable fixing material onto the mounting surface.
Be sure to use the gasket rings supplied.
Make the earth conductor connection and the electrical connection.
For digital control please use the connecting terminal DA, DA.
In case this terminal is not used the luminaire will be operated at full light output.
In order to guarantee the maximum service life of the electrical components, the enclosed desiccant pouch must be placed in the luminaire.
Remove the desiccant pouch from the foil packaging and place it in the position marked by the red information label immediately before finally closing the luminaire.
Make earth conductor connection between luminaire housing and mounting plate.
Push plug into coupler as far as it will go.
Make sure that the gasket is positioned correctly.
Insert the luminaire housing into the mounting plate and turn it as far as it will go.

Cleaning · Maintenance

Clean luminaire regularly with solvent-free cleansers from dirt and deposits.
Do not use high pressure cleaners.

Replacing the LED module

The designation of the LED module is noted on a label in the luminaire.
The light colour and light output of BEGA replacement modules correspond to those of the modules originally fitted.
The module can be replaced by qualified persons using standard tools.
Disconnect the system.
LED are high-quality electronic components! Please avoid touching the light output opening of the LED directly during relamping.
Remove the luminaire housing from the mounting plate by turning it counterclockwise.
Disconnect the plug-in devices.
Undo the retaining screw (wrench size 2.5 mm) in the luminaire housing. Remove the trim ring along with the glass and reflector from the luminaire housing by turning it counterclockwise.
Replace the LED module. Please follow the installation instructions for the LED module.
Screw the trim ring along with the glass and reflector into the luminaire housing by turning it clockwise. Tighten the retaining screw in the luminaire housing firmly.
Make earth conductor connection between luminaire housing and mounting plate.
Push plug into coupler as far as it will go.
Make sure that gasket is positioned correctly.
Insert the luminaire housing into the mounting plate and turn it as far as it will go.
