The Molift UnoSling Ambulating Vest is a consumable for single patient use. Etac supplies a wide selection of slings for different types of transfers. The Molift UnoSling Ambulating Vest is intended to be used for rehabilitation / mobilization to facilitate standing, walking and balance training. It is designed to be used with a 2-point sling bar. Molift UnoSling Ambulating Vest is intended for users who can follow instructions, have core balance and are able to take load on the legs. It is approved for users weighing up to 350 kg and is avai lable in sizes S-XL. The sling is placed around the user’s waist and is secured with the belt buckles and possibly the groin straps. Things to remember
– Read through the manual before starting to use the sling.
– It is important to understand the contents of the user manual before using
the equipment. Read the manual for both hoist and sling.
– Molift slings shall only be used to lift persons. Never use the sling to
lift or move objects of any kind.
– Make a decision on whether one or more assistants are required. Plan the
lifting operation in advance to ensure that it is as safe and smooth as
possible. Remember to work ergonomically.

informed personnel should use the equipment described in this user manual.
If the maximum load (SWL) differs between the sling bar and the sling, the
lowest maximum load should always be used.

responsible for the safety of the user.
– Never leave a user unattended in a lifting situation.

Sling checkpoints
Checkpoint | Troubleshooting |
---|
1 Safety clearance to hoist – minimises the risk that the user will hit their
head.| If the sling is too small, the head may come too close to the sling
bar.
2 The sling does not fit the user.| Wrong sling size. Try another size.
3 The sling is sliding up the user’s back.| The user is not able to take load
on the legs/feet. Evaluate whether a sling intended for
rehabilitation/mobilization training is right or if the user requires a
passive lift. The user is wearing too slippery clothes. Change or remove some
of the clothing. The sling has been raised without the user leaning forward or
the belt not tightened properly. Lower the user, adjust the sling and start
over.
Lifting checkpoints
- Check that the sling is correctly fitted around the user and that the strap loops are correctly fitted to the sling bar hooks.
- Start lifting. Ensure that the lifting straps are stretched tense, and pause before continuing. Check that all lifting loops are attached correctly to the sling bar.
- Continue lifting the user and carry out the planned training / rehabilitation activity.
Sling application
- Hold sling with one hand and use the other hand to support the user. Slide the folded sling down behind the user’s back until it reaches the seat.
- Fix the waist belt and tighten. The belt can be retightened after the patient is raised up.
- The user’s arm should be placed in between the lifting straps.
Groin strap (optional)
- Put the groin strap under the thigh.
- Connect the buckles. The groin strap can be retightened after the patient is raised up.
Removing sling
- Lower user into chair. Release straps from sling bar. Release groin strap buckles and remove groin strap.
- Release waist belt buckles.
- Use one hand to support and lean the user forward while removing the sling from the back with the other hand. Make sure not to pull to hard or fast, this may cause the user to fall out of the chair.
The Molift UnoSling Ambulating Vest, as described in this manual, is CE
