Descriptions

This item is intended for usage only with the Algo 8198 PoE+ Ceiling Speaker (required, sold separately, and not included). Up to three Algo 1196 satellites ceiling speakers can be connected to one Algo 8198 ceiling speaker to share the 16W of audio power for increased coverage. When paired with the Algo 8198 IP PoE+ Ceiling Speaker, the Algo 1196 Satellite Ceiling Speaker can offer significant savings when using up to three (3) 1196 satellite speakers. CAT5/CAT6 standard patch cables are used to daisy-chain satellite speakers to the 8198. (Wired directly to each other through a daisy chain only, not through network). The 8198 IP Speaker automatically recognizes each associated 1196 Satellite Speaker and checks its connectivity.

The 8198 web GUI and the 8300 Supervision Controller, if used and sold separately, both show the number of attached satellite speakers. The satellite speakers may provide ambient noise response based on the 8198 microphone noise detection and by default automatically adopt the zone and volume settings of the 8198 speaker. They are identical in appearance and acoustical output to the 8198 IP speaker. The installer should be comfortable using a web-based graphical user interface or provisioning to configure and programmer Voice over IP devices. Power over Ethernet is necessary. Use PoE+ Injector if PoE+ isn’t available. Door station is rated for use indoors and outdoors; the controller must be installed indoors. It’s necessary to have familiarity with Voice over IP and a strong knowledge of computer networking.

FAQs

Can ceiling-mounted TV speakers be installed?****

Ceiling speakers can play TV audio because TVs lack separate speaker outputs, but they cannot be directly connected to one another.

How far should speakers be mounted from the ceiling?****

In-wall and ceiling speakers need to be separated by at least 18 to 24 inches.

Are speakers that hang from the ceiling a possibility?****

Instead of in-wall speakers, in-ceiling speakers can be employed because their audio output is comparable. The size difference will be the most noticeable. Typically, in-wall speakers are bigger than in-ceiling speakers.

Must speakers installed in ceilings be enclosed?****

Yes. The sound quality of your in-ceiling speakers may deteriorate if a back box is not installed, which could lead to noise pollution in other areas of your home.

How do I play music through the speakers in my ceiling?****

Install speaker wires to each amp-powered speaker after purchasing a multi- zone AV receiver. Selecting an AV receiver with Bluetooth and WiFi integrated in can make setting up your home music system simpler.

When are speakers in the ceiling acceptable?****

Ceiling speakers may be used in a single room or several. The background music at a big gathering is one instance of how they can be used to create sound that is easily transferable throughout various rooms. Those who enjoy entertaining will value the adaptable, unobtrusive surround sound experience they offer, both indoors and outside.

How are ceiling speakers and televisions connected?****

You can listen to TV sound through your ceiling speaker system by connecting an analogue wire from your TV to the amplifier and turning on line output on your TV. 1) The majority of contemporary TVs no longer feature the 3.5 mm headphone jack.

Are the ceiling speaker sound-quality?****

Actually, playing music over ceiling speakers is a brilliant concept. They may make you feel as though you are at a concert hall or live event by using surround sound.

Do my ceiling speakers need a subwoofer?****

Even if ceiling speakers are able to handle all frequencies, a subwoofer will be helpful in handling the bass and low-end frequencies. Additionally, it significantly improves the overall sound quality of your sound system.

Do my speakers require an amplifier?****

No amplifier is required. If your music player is capable of handling it on its own, you don’t need to worry about running out of power.

How do I connect my amplifier to the speakers that are located in the ceiling?****

Make a path through which the wires can travel.
After ensuring sure the amplifier is unplugged, shut off the breaker.
Install the wiring.
Start connecting the wires to the ceiling speaker terminals.
The terminals of the amplifier should be connected to the other end of the cables.
By activating your circuit breaker, you can give it a try.

For each room, how many ceiling speakers are needed?****

Rooms bigger than 3 x 3 metres and 5 x 5 metres should utilise one pair of ceiling speakers and two pairs, respectively, for a more balanced sound.

Why don’t the ceiling speakers function?****

The speakers themselves, the wiring, or the audio source could all be at fault. To determine if the source is the issue, you might adjust the connections there. Use a connection from a speaker that is working to the problematic speaker as an example.

How is a speaker that is hanging from the ceiling removed?****

Release any retention clips securing the speaker assembly to the ceiling mounting system with a flat-head screwdriver. Take your time gently removing the ceiling-mounted speaker. Unplug the speaker’s audio cables from the back before removing it entirely from the ceiling.

How far should I place a ceiling speaker from the wall?****

18-inch distance
At least 18 inches, or the distance between speakers on a typical sound system, should separate speakers from the wall.
