Product Usage Instructions
Installing the Plug-in Lamp Dimmer
- Turn on the lamp you want to control and unplug it.
- If you want to control a second lamp, turn it on and plug itinto the other side.
- Plug in the lamp dimmer (PD-3PCL) into the outlet.
Important Note:
Use only with dimmable LED, halogen, or incandescent lamps. Do not exceed the total maximum wattage shown below:

Installing the Lutron Smart Hub
- Connect the Lutron smart hub (L-BDG2) to your Wi-Fi router using the Ethernet cable.
- Connect the power cord to the smart hub and plug it into an outlet.
Using the Controls
You can control your lights in three ways:
- Using the Pico remote control (PJ2-3BRL)
- On: Press the “On” button
- Brighter: Press and hold the “On” button
- Darker: Press and hold the “Off” button
- Off: Press the “Off” button
- Schedule your lights using the Lutron app
- Control your lights while away using the Lutron app

Installing your lamp dimmer
Turn on the lamp
Turn on the lamp you want to control and unplug it.
Connect the lamp(s)
Plug the lamp cord into either side of the Caséta plug-in lamp dimmer.
If you want to control a second lamp turn it on and plug it into the other side.

Using your Caséta by Lutron kit
Install the Lutron smart hub
The Caséta plug-in lamp dimmer can be controlled from a smartphone when used with the Lutron smart hub. All devices must be within 30 ft (9 m) from the Lutron smart hub.
A. Connect the smart hub to your Wi-Fi router using the Ethernet cable.
B. Connect the power cord to the smart hub and plug it into an outlet.
Download the Lutron app and walk through setup

Troubleshooting
| Symptoms | Probable cause and action |
|---|
Lamp does not turn on or
lamp dimmer LED does not light up.
| • Light bulb(s) burned out.
• Lamp is turned off.
• Lamp is not plugged in.
• Outlet is switched off.
Light does not respond
to Pico remote control.
| • The dimmer is not properly paired with the Pico remote control;
The Pico remote control can be paired with the dimmer using the Lutron app.
• The dimmer is already at the light level the Pico remote control is sending.
• The Pico remote control is outside the 30 ft (9 m) operating range.
• The Pico remote control battery is low.
• The Pico remote control battery is installed incorrectly.
• Bulbs turn off while being dimmed.
• Bulbs turn on at high light level but do not turn on at a low
light level.
• Bulbs flicker or flash when
dimmed to a low light level.
