open.
The position of the button is shown in the figure below:
3.4 How to turn ON/turn OFF the system.
3.4.1 Power ON the system
Turn on sequence
At first power on of the system connect the UPS batteries to UPS board (J13).
-
Switch on all switches on the power box:
1. First of all the Residual Current Circuit Breaker – (1),
2. then the system general switch (Circuit Breaker 16A) – (2),
3. after the power supply switch (Circuit Breaker 6A) – (3), the siren will sound for 1 sec.
4. and at last, the heaters switch (Circuit Breaker 10A) – (4)
-
keep pressed power on/off button (I/O button of UPS) at least for 1 second and release.
Every device is on.
3.4.2 Power OFF the system
Turn off sequence (if UPS driver is active)
-
Keep pressed power on/off button (I/O button) 2 seconds and release.
Do nothing and wait until system lights turn off.
Only Alarm system is ON → only LED 4 is On -
Turn off all switches (4, 3, 2 and 1), the UPS goes in battery mode.
-
Keep pressed power on/off button (I/O button) until the power LED starts blinking, then release.
The UPS switches off automatically.
If after 5 minutes the PC has not shut down, there are probably communication problems between the UPS board and the PC, so proceed to shut down the PC using operator panel (see shutdown procedure with UPS driver not active or not present)
Turn off sequence (if UPS driver is not active or not present)
-
Shutdown PC
Make sure your PC is turned off -
Keep pressed power on/off button (I/O button) until system lights turn off (about 6 seconds). Only Alarm system is ON→ only LED 4 is On
-
Turn off all switches (4, 3, 2 and 1), the UPS goes in battery mode.
-
Keep pressed power on/off button (I/O button) until the power LED starts blinking, then release.
The UPS switches off automatically.
If you want to leave the system off with the heating on. Turn ON the System
general switch (2) and the Heaters switch (4).
The Residual Current Circuit Breaker must be ON (1)
UPS system
In the event of a power failure, the system is powered by UPS system
(Uninterruptible Power Supply).
In case the event occurs during a transaction, the UPS system works until the
transaction is completed, if possible, otherwise in case the event occurs
during stand-by mode, the UPS system works for a set time. In both events the
application, powered by UPS system, switch off the system if the normal power
has not returned in the meantime (PC shut down).
When voltage returns, the system automatically returns in use mode.
The UPS system is connected to power supply unit of the system; it stabilizes
and filters the electric power in order to protect the system from overloads,
over-voltages, short circuits, etc.
The UPS system is comprised of:
- UPS board
- 2 12V DC batteries in series
- Control panel
In following figure is shown the position of the UPS system.
4.1 UPS control panel
The UPS system is managed by means of the On/Off Button on the control panel:

-
Insert the roll pin in the new paper roll and place it on the roll support, respecting the direction of rotation shown in the figure below
-
Position the paper according to the paper path and insert the paper into the paper infeed opening and wait for it to load automatically.
-
Insert the paper into the paper infeed opening and wait for it to load automatically.
-
The printer makes a test printout. It will be cut and delivered from paper outfeed. The test receipt must be removed.
When the loading is finished, move the printer in its original position,
pushing it inside until the knob locks it.
6.2 Removing jammed paper
To remove any jams inside the printer, proceed as follows:
-
Open the head unit, by pushing the green opening lever and rotate the unit as indicated in the figure
-
Check and remove jammed paper inside printer
-
After doing the above mentioned operations, move back the head unit to its working position as shown in the figure.
