How to Order Flameproof Hydraulic Range Pressure Switches

To order flameproof hydraulic range pressure switches, follow the steps below:

  1. Group 1: Non-standard allocation – To be given by the manufacturer after agreement of supply details with the customer.
  2. Group 2: Model – Select FC for IP66 Flameproof pressure switch,ATEx, IECEx & PESO approved or FE for IP66 Flameproof pressure switch, PESO approved.
  3. Group 3: Cable Entry Size – Choose from options: 3 = Al. head M20 x 1.5 threads, *6 = Grey CI head M20 x 1.5 threads, 9 = SS head M20 x 1.5 threads.
  4. Group 4: Switch Type – Select P1 for pressure switch, fixed differential without scale, P2 for pressure switch, fixed differential with scale in bar, or P3 for pressure switch, fixed differential with scale in psi.
  5. Group 5: Range Code (values in bar) – Choose from the available range codes: H1T, H2T, H4T, H1H, H2H, H4H, H7H, H1K (*Not available in FE models).
  6. Group 6: Microswitch Type – For adjustable differential, select microswitches A6 or C6.
  7. Group 7: Pressure Port Material / Size – Select from the available options.
  8. Group 8: Diaphragm – Reserved for non-standard options not covered in the catalogue. Will be given by the manufacturer after agreement of supply details with the customer.

FAQ

Q: What is the minimum differential value for the pressure switches?
A: The minimum differential increases with the setpoint. The differential values mentioned in the table are approximate maximum for FSR. The actual differential value will vary according to the pressure range selected and microswitch type. For actual values of the differential, please contact the sales office.

Q: Can both microswitches actuate and deactuate at the same point?
A: When using a 2SPDT switching arrangement, both microswitches may not actuate and/or deactuate at the same point. A small stage gap, normally up to +/- 5% FSR (depending on range code), may be observed. The On-Off differential (hysteresis) typically tends to be at least double of those published for 1SPDT pressure switches.
If actuation and/or deactuation at the same point is a critical part of operation, it can be achieved by using a separate DPDT relay. This relay will need a separate power supply for its coil.

Q: Are there any other options available for the diaphragm?
A: Yes, welded diaphragm is also available. Please contact the manufacturer for more details.
