Product Usage Instructions
Installation
- Disconnect power at the main fuse box before installation.
- This fixture is intended for installation in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and all local code specifications. If you are not familiar with code requirements, installation by a certified electrician is recommended.
- Before assembly, remove all parts and part packages from the box. If anything is missing, please contact the retailer from which the product was purchased.
Mounting Bracket Installation
- Carefully pull house wires out of the junction box so they are easily accessible during installation.
- Position mounting bracket (A) so the head of the attached ground screw is pointing down towards the floor.
- Place mounting bracket (A) up against the junction box. Align each slot in mounting bracket (A) with each hole in the junction box.
- Thread each junction box screw (B) into holes in the mounting bracket (A) and into holes in the junction box. Tighten junction box screws (B) to secure mounting bracket (A) to the junction box. Make sure house wires are still easily accessible. DO NOT pinch wires between mounting bracket and ceiling.
Wire Connections
- Strip 3/4 of insulation from the ends of fixture wires.
- Slightly loosen the ground screw on the mounting bracket (A). Do not completely remove the ground screw. Wrap the house ground wire (copper) around the ground screw, leaving enough ground wire to attach to the fixture ground wire. Twist the end of the fixture ground wire and the end of the house ground wire (copper) together. Twist the wire nut (C) onto the ends of the wires. Completely tighten the wire nut (C). Reference the chart below for correct wire connections.
- Twist the end of the house lead wire (black) and the end of the fixture lead wire together. Twist the wire nut (C) onto the ends of the wires. Completely tighten the wire nut (C).
- Twist the end of the house neutral wire (white) and the end of the fixture neutral wire together. Twist the wire nut (C) onto the ends of the wires. Completely tighten the wire nut (C). Reference the chart to the right for the correct wire connections.
- Wrap electrical tape (not included) around wire nuts (C) and wires. Ensure wires are securely fastened into wire nuts.
- Carefully push all wires and wire nuts into the junction box.
Fixture Installation
- Raise backpan (D) up to the ceiling. Pass the hole in the center of the backplane (D) over the end of the threaded pipe on the mounting bracket (A).
- Thread the finial (F) onto the end of the threaded pipe.
- Tighten the finial (F) to secure the fixture to the ceiling.
WARNING: DISCONNECT POWER AT THE MAIN FUSE BOX BEFORE INSTALLATION.This fixture is intended for installation in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and all local code specifications. Connect Supply (House) Ground Copper Wire to:
- Bare Copper Wire or,
- Bare Silver Wire or,
- Green Insulated Wire.
Twist end of the house lead wire (black) and the end of the fixture lead wire together. Twist wire nut (C) onto the ends of the wires. Completely tighten wire nut (C). Twist the end of the house neutral wire (white) and the end of the fixture neutral wire together. Twist wire nut (C) onto the ends of the wires. Completely tighten wire nut (C). Reference chart to the right for correct wire connections.
Wrap electrical tape (not included) around wire nuts (C) and wires. Ensure
wires are securely fastened into wire nuts.
Carefully push all wires and wire nuts into the junction box.
Connect Black Lead Supply (House) Wire to:| Connect White Neutral Supply

*When parallel wire (SPT 1 & SPT 2) is used: The lead wire is round in shape or smooth.
The neutral wire is square in shape or ridged.

Raise backpan (D) up to the ceiling. Pass hole in the center of backplane (D) over the end of the threaded pipe on mounting bracket (A). Thread the finial (F) onto the end of the threaded pipe. Tighten the finial (F) to secure the fixture to the ceiling.

Screw recommended bulbs (E26 Edison bulb type, not included) into sockets. Verify the correct bulb wattage marked on the socket of the fixture.
WARNING: DO NOT exceed maximum bulb wattage. -
Place diffuser (G) down into shade (K).

Raise shade (K) with a diffuser (G) up to the fixture. Fit the top of shade (K) over the edge of backplane (D). Align holes along shade (K) with holes along backplane (D). Thread one screw (L) into each hole in the shade (K) and into holes in backplane (D). Tighten screws (L) to secure shade (K) in place. DO NOT over-tighten.
