LTE-IV, HWF2V-COM, LTE-CFV, SIM Card Replacement

LTE-IV HWF2V-COM Communication Modules

The following steps should be followed when replacing the SIM Card in the LTE- IV, HWF2V-COM and LTE-CFV Communication Modules.
Note: Although the LTE-IV Communication Module is shown, the PCB Configurations are the same for the HWF2V-COM and LTE-CFV Communicators.

  1. Power down the communicator. Refer to the applicable Installation Guide for the device.

  2. Remove the cover.

  3. Using a #2 Philips screwdriver, remove the two screws securing the small cellular PCB to the communicator’s main PCB.

  4. Remove the cellular PCB by first gently pulling on the bottom of the board and disengage it from the tab on the plastic. See Figure 1 and 2 below.

  5. The SIM card is located on the back of the cellular PCB. Use care when removing and be sure not to place stress on the antenna wire(s). Refer to Figure 3.

  6. Slide the cover latch that secures the SIM card towards the center of the board and lift.

  7. Remove the SIM card (take note of where the notch on the card is located.)resideo LTE-IV HWF2V-COM Communication Modules - fig 2

  8. Install the new SIM card with the notch in the correct location.

  9. Close holder and slide the cover latch away from the card to secure the SIM.

  10. Reinstall the cellular PCB to the communicator’s main PCB. Refer to Figure 4.

  11. Install the top of the card first by inserting it beneath the two tabs as shown in Figure 4.

  12. Install the bottom of the card (matching connector on the main board, bottom of cellular card.
    Ensure the connector is properly seated. Refer to Figure 5.resideo LTE-IV

  13. Reinstall the two screws to secure the Cellular PCB. Refer to Figure 6resideo LTE-IV HWF2V-COM Communication Modules - fig 4

  14. Power up the communicator.

  15. Wait a few minutes for the power-up LED sequencing to complete and for the communicator to regain signal strength.

  16. Test security panel zones to confirm signals are being received by the central station.

  17. Reinstall the cover on the communicator.
