Door Frame Assembly Set PRO
- Assemble the door frame as per the door manufacturer’s instructions.
- Using the head jamb for guidance, adjust the door frame assembly jig to the inside width of the jambs.
- Fasten two jigs to the jambs, one at the height of the lock and the other at the height of the lower hinge.
- To do so, insert the clamping plates (g) into the groove without making contact, and tighten.
- If needed, the clamping plates (d) and (g) can be tightened in a controlled manner in a clockwise direction by turning the eccentric levers (c).
- Position the assembly jig so that the bar supports the jambs as near to the door side as possible.
- The jigs and door frame now form a solid unit.
- Position the door frame in the centre of the wall aperture, and secure (e.g. with wedges) so it cannot fall.
- Fasten the frame clamps at the top left and right corners of the jambs. To do so, insert the clamping plates (d) into the groove without making contact, and tighten.
- With the adjusting screw (a), slightly tighten the frame clamp on the wall side. Do not tighten fully.
- Make sure the door frame is horizontal, placing supports underneath if necessary.
- Using the adjusting screws (a), position the door frame vertically against the wall. Place wooden spacer blocks behind the architrave if necessary.
- Position the door frame vertically against the inside of the jambs. Use the adjusting screws (f) to move the jambs as necessary.
- Do this with all four adjusting screws (f). The jambs are now square and fixed at the sides.
- Use the adjusting screws (b) to position the jambs vertically.
- Fill the edges around the jambs with foam. Before you do so, check the frame by hanging the door and ensuring it works.
- Completely release the clamping plate/eccentric lever and remove without making contact.
- After the spray foam has set, remove superfluous foam and fit the architrave.
