Do not exceed the maximum loading height (see marking) or the maximum loading weight of 150 kg. Note on sawing logs with a length of 25 cm or 33 cm: Place the pieces of wood in the centre of the saw buck and follow cutting sequences 1, 2 and 3. In the case of 33 cm logs, place the pieces of wood in the centre of the saw buck and follow cutting sequences 1 and 2.
Caution: Before sawing, always place the stop bar on the right-hand tube ends, with the closed side facing towards the saw. The stop bar has two functions: 1. It prevents pieces of wood from being ejected out of the saw buck and injuring people. 2. It acts as an anti-rotation device, improving cutting performance. Never work without the stop bar!
Caution: Only make parallel cuts using the chain saw. Always leave a sufficient sawing distance from the tube ends.wolfcraft 5121000 Easy Cut Log

INTRODUCTION

  • CAUTION! Read all the safety information and instructions that were supplied with the saw buck. Failure to comply with safety information and instructions can lead to injury.
  • Keep the manual in a safe place for future reference.

INTENDED USE

The saw buck is intended solely for cutting wood with chain saws to DIN EN ISO 11681 or DIN EN 60745, and with hand saws. The saw buck is suitable for sawing logs to a length of 25 cm and 33 cm. The length of the wood to be cut must not exceed one metre and the diameter must not exceed 27.5 cm. Only use parallel cuts to saw logs. Angular cuts are not permitted. The integrated stop bar holds the logs securely in the saw buck. Do not lay pieces of wood on the tube ends, as there is no surface there to ensure that they are securely held.

SAFETY INFORMATION

  • Only use the sawbuck on a level, solid and a horizontal surface in order to ensure a safe foothold. There is otherwise a risk of it tilting.

  • The safety instructions issued by the manufacturer should be adhered to. A non-adherence to the instructions can harm the user or others.

  • Only machinery that meet current regulations are to be used.

  • Always disconnect the electric chainsaws from the mains under the following circumstances:
    – before carrying out maintenance work and
    – when not in use

  • Check the functional capability and correct assembling (e.g. screwed connections) of the sawbuck, machinery and tools each time before commencing work.

  • Never work with damaged or blunt tools.

  • Secure the wood with the ejection guard before starting to saw anything. You should not work under any circumstances without securing the ejection guard first!

  • Ensure that your machine has a secure foothold.

  • Only use the machines for their intended purpose.

  • Do not make any technical alterations to the sawbuck.

  • Never remove existing protective devices.

  • Ensure that your clothing is close to your body and not hanging loosely (especially sleeves, etc.) to avoid accidents.

  • Always wear your personal protection equipment (approved helmet, goggles, ear protection, (forestry) gloves, clothing and shoes).

  • Never reach into the machines when in use.

  • Keep children away from the work area and store your machines and tools in a secure place, out of the reach of children.

  • Never allow inexperienced people to work with your machines and tools without instruction or supervision.

  • When sawing, always keep sufficient distance between the chainsaw guide bar and the steel elements of the sawbuck.

  • Always work in a methodical and concentrated manner.

  • The two wooden panels serve to stabilise the sawbuck and prevent the chainsaw from coming into contact with the ground.
If the sawbuck becomes unstable to work with, due to the wooden panels being damaged by incisions, etc., they are to be replaced with original wolfcraft® spare parts.

  • Only use original wolfcraft® spare parts as the warranty is otherwise invalid.

  • wolfcraft® recommends that you treat the boards with a suitable wood sealant to protect the woods on an annual basis.

  • Fold the sawbuck and store it in a place where it is protected from the rain, moisture and UV radiation.

  • Ensure that the wooden panels of the sawbuck are correctly secured in the tubes.

  • Do not use the saw buck as a step, ladder or support.

  • Caution: The chain saw must have a blade length of at least 33 cm.

  • Caution: Always look out for falling pieces of wood. Maintain a sufficient safety distance to prevent injury.

ENVIRONMENT

Please observe local disposal regulations when disposing of the saw buck.
